Android Revolution HD 4.0 - mike1986 - File Reup - HTC Incredible S

Hello,
I figured I would reup the following files for mike1986's Android Revolution HD 4.0 since the original file server is essentially down.
I apologize for not posting directly in the original development thread, but noobs with under 10 posts can't post a reply.
Please use the link below
Android Revolution HD 4.0 Reup
I have included the following files:
Android_Revolution_HD_Incredible_S_4.0.zip - The ROM
Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_Incredible_S.zip - The Script
PG32IMG.zip - The Firmware
md5.zip - The MD5 checker
How to flash:
Firmware - This package contains newest radio and rcdata
With 4.x ROMs mike1986 strongly recommends flashing the firmware
Place PG32IMG.zip on the root of your SD card and boot into bootloader mode
PG32IMG.zip will automatically update
Reboot and delete PG32IMG.zip from SD card
Download ROM and place it on your SD card
Download "Super Wipe" script & place it on your SD card (optionally if coming from earlier version of my ROM, obligatory if coming from stock or other custom ROM)
Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + power)
In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of "Super Wipe" script
Once again select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of Android Revolution ROM
After flashing process is complete, reboot the device
See the original post for more questions and answers

I´ve tried 2 pc´s and on my htc incredible S and nothing
I guess this is a noob thing but I'm trying to figure out WHY I can´t load androidfilehost.com

Perhaps you know how to change your DNS setting to google DNS or open DNS address. This may help to by pass your local DNS and this may help to load the page.

Haha thanks!! I've used the forum for ages, just never bothered to make an account as I never really needed to post
but okay I'll try again. I seem to get this error a lot. Ice cold sandwich and Cyanogen are the only roms I've ever been able to run on this hboot. It's really frustrating.

ooooh I don't know what I did but it worked haha woohoooo thanks!

cyanogen mod, i screwed up and stuck at this screen

FFFFFIIIXXXXXEEEEEDDD THANK U GUYS!
Hi guys.. sorry to bother you. Im in a world of grief right now.
I am stuck at the modified load menu (green text on black background) with all the options to wipe or format ect...
at bottom it says "welcome build : RA-dream-v1.2.3
I have been stuck on this for hours, I was following theunlockr.com tutorial while using the newest cyanogenmod rom... it doesnt load.. im stuck back at this junk.. and I have no idea how to forfeit or go on from here.
please help
What you have right there (in the youtube vid)is the modified recovery console. What you need to do is load a rom onto your sd card and flash it.
You may have a rom already installed and just need to wipe (not sure though)
Try this from that screen:
1. Alt+W (wipe)
2. Reboot
If that doesnt work, then you need to load a rom and flash it. If you are trying to get cyans latest rom then you need to flash the HTC image first then flash the cyan image
lol Am I missing something? There are no links on the dev.htc website for the 1.6 Recovery Image....can you confirm this? About to go insane.
Thank you for the reply btw!
Yeah I can confirm no downloads on the site! I need that file to get my phone functioning!

If you're using the recovery screen to "apply update" from the menu use
signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip
the file that has "img" instead of "ota" in it has an image to use with fastboot not through recovery
Start over
I had the same problem for a second. I just started over. I recommend using this link: http://androidandme.com/2009/08/news/how-to-root-a-t-mobile-g1-and-mytouch-3g-android-phone/
It is very informative and all links for the roms work! Start over with the first dreaming.img and go from there. Good luck.
Success
Okay, all I did was
wipe
Load/Flash the 'OTA' "signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip"
wipe
Load/Flash the 4.2.7 cyamod!!!
love u helpy helpers (wow easy it was)

[Q] Install zip from SD Card option not visible

I recently got a Incredible S and was considering rooting it. So I went through the topics here and people kept mentioning the option you see on the main menu to "install zip from SD Card".
Just to ensure that I knew everything before I went ahead and rooted, I went to the HBoot screen(volume down and power). My phone was locked(S-ON) and on the screen I could not see any option to "install zip from SD Card". Am I missing something? I am posting a picture of my Hboot screen.
Also something I noticed was that the screen would refresh and automatically run a check to see if any images were present on the sd card. Is this normal?
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but I am confused and just wanted to be sure.
To be able to see that option you require to root, then flash clockwork mod recovery.
Then you will have the modified recovery with that option to flash roms.
1. Root with Revolutionary
2. Flash ClockwordMod Recovery (To find out how to do this go HERE)
Thanks neo, that helps a lot.

Help! I think I bricked my phone!

I updated my phone to stock OTA from HTC update on phone 2.3.5 Sense 3.0 and now I'm stuck on HTC white load screen.
When I updated the phone, everything seemed to download and install correctly but when the phone rebooted it got stuck on white HTC logo screen.
BACKGROUND INFO:
So I have my phone S-Off. I did these steps found in this thread to s-off: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137008
The only thing I didn't do in that thread was "recovery" part of the list. I tried to root my phone months ago, but got stuck so I just gave up. That was as far as I got. I was running Sense 2.1 Android 2.3.3 before I updated today and it "bricked"
I went into HBoot and it says this
Revolutionary
VIVO PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-6.13.1002
RADIO-3822.01.08.14_M
eMMC-boot
Apr 1, 2011
What should I do? I read the sticky thread on the OTA Update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435136 and it says that S-OFF is the problem and that it's messing up with the official HTC update?
Any help please?
thanks.

You should flash a recovery and install a custom rom.
Use this one. http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-vivo.img

I just tried what you said and it still doesn't work. Clockwork loads ok, but everytime i try installing a zip file using clockwork, it says installation aborted.
I tried installing the su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip using clockwork and it said installation aborted. It says that i can't open the zip
I tried installing CM7 using clockwork and it said installation aborted. It says that it can't open the zip
Tried a RUU? That fixed the same problem for me.

Verify the MD5 checksum of the downloaded file on both the PC and on the SD card after you copy it to ensure that it was downloaded successfully.
Got it to work now, everyone. I used a third SD card like suggested and installed the ROM that tpbklake suggested (linked in this thread) and it works. THANK YOU SO MUCH, EVERYONE for you help! So much appreciated.

Hi @mctodd, easy on the double posting So shall we stick this thread or the other one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2491065?
Anyway, to get rumrunner to work Guru Reset 2.24.707.3 is your best chance. Let me know which thread you want to work in, and post your current state (ROM, recovery, and anything else worth noting) in whichever thread you decide on.

probably a bad download, that's why it got stuck, did you check the MD5 sum? try downloading again, and make sure the zip is not corrupt.
also, if you don't want to loose your custom recovery, in Aroma deselect "stock recovery" while flashing
EDIT: also select WIPE in Aroma!!

You can't run the RUU yet, you need to get s-off first using rumrunner
Try this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-707-1-zip/
Download & install with full WIPE + stock recovery + stock radio, and no root. You should then check for an OTA update and update to 2.24.707.3. Then use the rumrunner package for 2.24.707.3

Nope just "install zip" in recovery, Aroma is included (it just gives you the options when flashing), you should
WIPE
select "stock recovery"
select "stock radio"
do not select "root'
once you reboot to the ROM, check for software update to 2.24.707.3 and do that, but no other updates
You'll have to clear dalvik cache in some cases! If have you done it and still have the same prob, make sure you have downloaded the proper ROM and all others have no problem flashing it!
If its still struck at boot.., get some other ROM!

once you reboot to the ROM, check for software update to 2.24.707.3 and do that, but no other updates

You'll have to clear dalvik cache in some cases! If have you done it and still have the same prob, make sure you have downloaded the proper ROM and all others have no problem flashing it!
If its still struck at boot.., get some other ROM!

never seen that one, did the install go smoothly? you "install zip", went through the options and it started flashing, and report success?
EDIT: if not, do the "install zip" again.

strange, my recovery never says that even when I don't have an OS installed. Try flashing again, and if it says success, go ahead and reboot.

Failed to install cyanogen cm-11-2014*-icong.zip . Busted my Phone.. Help Urgent!

Hi, I read lots of posts here in xda on how to install custom ROM on my HTC Salsa, lot of times i felt bad as the posts always required my phone to be S-OFF. I couldn't find a nice and easy solution for this.
However somewhere i read that it is not mandatory to have S-OFF and which is when i just started experimenting on my phone.
I did unlock the bootloader from HTC dev . But i still have S-on.
I downloaded some *i9500 custom ROM and copied it to my downloads folder in sdcard. Tried to install the zip from sdcard from my CWM Recovery and it failed always. But then i thought that it could be the problem with image which i downloaded as it is not supported. So then i found one more post for HTC Salsa and downloaded the image from the link given in there.
Here is the link of that post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745185
Here is the link from where i downloaded the zip : http://download.androidarmv6.org/_builds/icong/
Here is the image which i downladed : cm-11-20140719-NIGHTLY-icong.zip
After getting into CWM Recovery i tried to install the same and at first it looked that it is going to install but in some time i get some error like
set_metadata_recursive.... error STATUS 7. INSTALLATION ABORTED.
Then i thought i was doing to wrong and as per some post .. i formatted all the /boot /system /sdcard ....partitions listed in CWM.
Now my sdcard is completely formatted .
After i copy my image there and try to install the same :
I get :
--Installing: /sdcard/cm-11-20140719-NIGHTLY-icong.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
E: Error in .sdcard/cm-11-20140719-NIGHTLY-icong.zip
(Status 0)
Installation aborted.
I can't even reboot to my old ROM. .. Not sure if its lost completely. .. Need help urgently.
Please help me recover or reinstall any ROM just for my phone to come back to life again.
Please help
Please help!!!. I am not sure if my post will die here.

If your using the new icong_g CM11 then you require the installation of the new cwm 6 recovery. if you follow the guides correctly then you won't have any issues.
can i ask why you thought about trying a different model phones software on this? it would only cause some serious issues lol.
and to answer the question when u wipe and clean of any data then it will leave the original OS in place unless you flash another then its that one that replaces it

Actually when i tried to install the icong_g CM11 i think it tried to flash but the installation aborted with error 7 as i mentioned earlier and so my old ROM was washed away i guess.
Somewhere i again read i need CWM 5.0.3 and so i tried that as well. Still getting the error.
Where can i find CWM recovery 6 for HTC Salsa.?
What are the mount/unmount options should i follow. Like /system, /data. Should they be mounted or unmounted before installing the zip.
Please help me solve the problem.
Why i am failing to install the cm-11*icong all the time with error 0. Do i really need to upgrade my CWM recovery from 5.0.3 to 6 ?
Also please help he flash my phone with manual steps.
I am using Fedora 20 for using fastboot and adb.
Got the link to download the latest recovery image ..Its 6.0.5 from the below link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=4865#downloads
Now i was able to install the custom ROM downloaded from here : http://download.androidarmv6.org/_builds/icong/
Atleast my phone came to life. Thanks to XDA developers.
But the graphics seem too bad. Can we do anything about it?
