FAQ
I cannot see the date, clock, battery and signal percentage! Why?
Thats a little blemish coming from the ported status bar tweaks.
This happens because the default status bar is black, either the textcolor of these items.
You need to change the text color in "System settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Interface -> Status bar tweaks -> Text Color" one time, then its fine.
My phone doesn't wake up after charging over night! WTF?
Enable "Stay Awake" in "System settings -> Application -> Development", this will prevent the "Charging SOD (screen of death)"
Don't be afraid to lock the screen manually when charging anyways. the enabled function is enough to prevent. There is no need to really keep the screen on while charging.

WARNING: I am totally NOT a professional kernel developer! I am just trying to learn with this. - Smashing code together and sharing my results. Do not use this if you wan't anything stable. Even if my kernel builds seem to run stable it doesn't mean that everything is cool with it.
As you know i am a total fan of ironkrnl, but im a bit pissed that it doesnt get updates, and i also wan't the new stuff like ksm and google snappy compression, so i started smashing this together This completely replaces the old BangMod-pack.

-cam -- Enable installation of modded stock cam by kostja
-cron -- Disable installation of cron job for automatic cache dropping (a cron job on linux is an executed command on defined times. this one will clear the vm cache every 3,5 hours. keeps ram clean even if you don't restart for weeks.)
-dens -- Enable low density tweaking (210) for higher screen resolution.
-ffc -- Force fast charging. (Removes ability to transfer files)
-font -- Disable installation of roboto font
-fsync -- Disable fsync. (WARNING: disabling fsync may cause data loss! read more about what fsnc is here)
-fsc -- Force slow charging.
-gapps -- Disable installation of google apps
-jrnl -- Enable ext4 journal removal and 'risky' mount options (not recommended)
-keep -- Disable deletion of unnecessary CM apps (that means CMStats, CMUpdateNotify, LiveWallapapers, LiveWallapapersPicker, LiveWallapapersPicker, MagicSmokeWallpapers, VisualizationWallpapers, Protips)
-ksm -- Disable activation of kernel samepage merging
-log -- Enable log removal on boot
-nitz -- Install nitz fix for su660 basebands (will get removed if not set)
-prop -- Disable tweaking of build.prop
-sql -- Disable installation of tweaked sqlite.so
-uv -- Enable slight undervolt
EXAMPLE
The default filename is
"Skynet64_201205271152-bravia-cam-log-uv.zip"
which completely fits the settings of the old BangMod-pack. Just leave it how it is, if you trust and want my personal selection.
If you wanna change anything, this is an example to have a clean kernel-image-only installation without any tweaks/mods:
"Skynet0_201205271152-anim-basic-cron-font-gapps-keep-prop-sql.zip"
Change the flags/ramhack-number however you want your install, with the values descripted above.

hmm i wouldnt say "better" or "not better" its just that i always used ironkrnL since i have the p990 and i am absolutely happy with it. There was no reason for me to test any other one yet.
It is totally stable for me, so i recommend it.

The current CM10 builds, although alpha, are fairly stable. Aside from possible GPS issue and standard 911 disclaimer.

As you can see there are a LOT of changes and improvements.
There are common bugs (CM10 and CM9) like GPS failure and 911 calls.
If you want, you can test this ROM, check the stability and see if you like it. It is NOT the best shoot to take CM10 as you daily ROM until this bugs are corrected.
In addition to these errors, you should be flashing every time because there are more changes between versions. In the OP you can see the proofs.

Very important changes in this garrit.
If you can, update your ROM.

Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources & Google Sources
and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps.
This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with PA/AOKP/CM features and some cherry-picks.

Since we're using Per-app color now, let's use it for PIE as well.
Fix layout of MultiWaveView and GlowPadView.
If the calculated size of the rings is much smaller than the measured
size (which is happening e.g. on mdpi 600x1024 tablets), the glow pad
appeared shifted to the right.
This happened due to the insets being calculated as difference of
available and needed size, and later on being added to the available
size. Example numbers (Nexus 4 with density forced to 160):
- computed size in onMeasure: 768x505
- scaled size in onMeasure: 505x505
- thus, insets are calculated as 131/0
- in onLayout, placementWidth (364) and max target width (108) are much
smaller than width (768)
- thus, center is calculated as 131 + (768 / 2) = 515, thus shifted to
the right
Fix that by not using width in the calculation, as the inset size
already takes it into consideration.
LockScreen: Fix crash when unlocking twice
This will keep track if the BroadCastReceiver is registered and
will unregister it only if so.

This change fixes state mismatch found in the bugs below,
and makes the code look consistent with disconnect().
In startMonitoring(), reconnect() is called before mNMService.registerObserver().
Then dhcpThread.run() could finish without getting interfaceLinkStateChanged() callback.
In such a case, mNetworkInfo has connected but not-available state - which is contradictory.
FW: Fix Menu Overflow Disable Option
The three button Menu Overflow would display no matter what setting was seleted within ROMControl, this commit makes a slight change to correctly return a result that reflects the users selection through ROMControl.
I had to enable then disable the option for it to function correctly (no reboot required)
Remove opaque check in preparing dirty region
Since preserve swap is enabled, we need to clear the color buffer
when the scissor rect is prepared for a new process. This prevents
garbage being present from the previous process in the color buffer.

when the AM/PM clock settings are enabled.
Fixed an accidentally dot showed in some languages (for ex. US english)
Bluetooth: Fix MAP accept threads sometimes spinning endlessly.
Randomly (under no obvious precondition), the MAP access threads spinned
endlessly after enabling BT, because mServerSocket.accept() always threw
IOExceptions, probably because the actual socket was already closed.
This change makes sure to exit the thread when that happens to not waste
CPU cycles and battery power.
This tracks similar changes done to the BluetoothPbapService and makes
sure to follow the (working) PBAP flow.
Fix a number of issues with T9 dialer.
- Fix an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException (like reported in
[1]) which happened when highlighting the last digits of a number and
the number had additional characters after those digits.
- Fix another potential ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException due to the
highlighting code relying on normalNumber being a subset of number,
which wasn't the case due to number being additionally sent through a
formatter. Fix that by running the formatter before normalizing.
- Fix number highlighting not working if the number match occured at the
end of the number.
- Fix number type label & formatting not being updated on locale
changes.
- Fix T9 search not being triggered when pressing the dial button to
recall the last dialed number.
Remove DEBUG to avoid to run checking at every turn

Reduce observers in SystemUI: StatusBarIconView
Currently, for each status bar icon view there is a observer that
listens for changes of STATUS_BAR_NOTIF_COUNT. With one
notification usually having one or more status bar icons
you may end up easily with 10+ more observers for ~5 notifications.
With this commit the internal observer class becomes a singleton.
This means there is now only one observer for all status bar icons
and additional binder calls on new notification are avoided.
Reduce observers in SystemUI: KeyButtonView
This is based on the work by Jens Doll for the StatusBarIconView
The ContentObserver class will be a singleton, so there is only
one observer for all buttons.
On my Nexus 10 it reduced the observer count from 48 to 4.

Vol rocker wake is n/a.
However, you can go to settings > Device Option > Touchscreen > Wake Method and choose one of those 3 options.

Go to Hybrid Settings > Apps. Under 'Changed Apps' touch to open, move the slidebar to the right to increase the dpi, touch the check mark at the top of the screen. Repeat this for all the apps you want to enlarge the font size, close and reboot.... good to go.

Dont know but people here using this ROM said its working good.
Issues are like whatsapp is not working but the fix floating around makes it work.. Titanium backup is also working with ART. :good:

You can't change it yet. But omni has added this feature and it still hasn't been reviewed. Hopefully it'll be done soon and then it can be disabled.

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

SMS bug !!!
I instaaled this rom its great in terms of speed and battery performance not bad at all but i get this strange issue in sms !! messeges i recieve show in conversations normally but the ones i send are shown as big blank space next to my contact pic > tried data wipe ,cache and dalvik but didnt help
can hear your opinion what would help me please ????

Use another sms app .. Download it from play store like 8sms ,qksms,elove sms try it

Go to Settings -> Interface -> Status Bar.
Uncheck the Double-tap to sleep option. (Y)

Hi, is it possible go incorporate CHN stock rom touchscreen driver in to the rom? The screen jittering is killing me. Thanks a lot ya

we want someone who can:
maintain this thread
make weekly builds
discuss with us about features and things like that
of course you have to own the device
so some experience in android building is a must , and time to do this
if your interested pm me

Not sure why go keyboard force stops sometimes .Not sure if the problem lies with the rom or the app itself. The boot animation is not the correct size.

Is there setting to change led light trigger area?? I would like to change only when touching softkeys.
Edit: is there a way to change by modifying any system files or build.prop?? Please help
