Hi everyone,
I'd like to know if anyone knows a way I can change the ringtone for the O2 Balance Popup which appears after every call/text which has been sent. I am using TG ICS V30A and I have this loud guitar sound playing after every message sent, which gets kinda annoying after a while. I was previously on Stefan Guendhoer's V28G ROM and restored my phone with Titanium Backup, but I never had this kind of issue. It has always been silent (CM7) or just a quiet beep/ding (SG's V28G ROM.) Alternatively, is there a way to disable this altogether?
Thanks!

Hi folks!
Now this is really starting to bother me. Since I'm on JPO there's no notification sound playing when I receive a message and I just can't do anything about it.
Does anyone have any idea whatsoever what I can do about it?
Maybe reinstall the sms app? Could someone upload the stock one from the SGS i9000?
Puhleez! Bump...
I was looking for a place, how to tell the LG guys, what do I expect from my LG P990. Did not find a way - so here is a thread with hope, somebody from LG will read and ... consider - at least.
Starting wishes from me:
1. DIFFERENT NOTIFICATION SOUNDS SIMULTANEOUSLY - one for SMS, another sound for MMS a third one for e-mail - with possibility to customize sounds for every e-mail account and all individual events ,which are anounced by a single notification sound now.
! Because now, when I hear a notification sound, I do not know, whether is it SMS, or is it e-mail, or the device just established connection.... a little uncomfortable to stop a car on highway to check if there is an urgent SMS finding a standard e-mail, which can be handled tomorrow in an office....
2. possibility to make SILENT MOVIE CAMERA BUTTON - so it will be not a shame while taking a short memories from valuable moments using this great phone, BUT without pulling all surrounding attention onto me/my phone.... just imagine to use it in church, or at cemetery during a ceremony....
You can set up different notification sounds for Email and SMS (don't know about MMS since MMS is nonsense IMHO and I don't use it.) already.
With Mail Programs like K9 you can even set up different Notification sounds for your multiple Email addresses.
You have to simply enter settings in the SMS and/or Email apps.
EDIT
There are "silent camcorder"-setups setups in custom ROMS here on this board.
I'd like a working phone without the reboots and battery pulls. Thats enough for me at this point.

Click to collapse
You are lucky winner... get the LG Optimus 2X - no reboots, I don't know what the "battery pulls" is and you get a fast and well equipped phone for daily usage with all the comfort of Android.
are you for real?
Yes. Absolutely sure!
My LG reboots cca twice a week - having installed 10d - the latest version available for me.

That's a horrible old ROM, the gingerbread ones are much improved.
Hopefully when your region gets it (or you force it via .kdz) you'll be OK.
Hi Rusty,
just one nooby question. What does it mean ... to force ROM upgrade via .kdz?

It's a manual install, do a search for a guide
I apologize if this has been discussed/answered elsewhere. A search didn't bring up anything. If it has, please link me to the appropriate thread. Thanks!
I'm currently using Simply Stunning 5.4, which is Android 2.3.4 and based on CM7. For some reason, the custom phone settings menu has removed the option to adjust the DTMF tone length between Normal and Long. CM (and possibly Gingerbread in general--not sure) defaults to short tone length, which my Verizon voicemail inbox refuses to recognize for my password. It acts as though I haven't pushed any buttons, even though I can hear the quick tones. When I back up and flash a stock 2.2.2 ROM, which has the option in there, and I change it to Long tones, I can access my voicemail no problem. But that's a hassle just to check voicemail. I love Simply Stunning and Gingerbread! There HAS to be another way to access this setting...right?
It seems like it should be as simple as a line of code somewhere with =1, 2 or 3, and if I could just change that number to 3 for Long or whatever, things would be great.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
After a bit of research it looks like a little over a month ago, in CM nightly 15, an edit was made to android_frameworks_base to force phones to always use short DTMF tones. My question is, is there a way I can edit android_frameworks_base (if that's even a file somewhere or section in a file) to undo this and use long tones? Or, can I install a different version of android_frameworks_base and keep the rest of the ROM? That seems like a big ol' conflict that wouldn't work, but what do I know?
The workaround I'm using now is nandroid backup, load a stock FRG83G ROM, change the tones to long, check my messages, reboot into recovery, restore the nandroid backup. What a hassle to do this every day though! There HAS to be an easier way, aside from the obvious "Find a ROM that's not built on CM." I'm definitely getting closer to doing that, but it's also fun to solve things like this. Anyone?

First, I would have posted this under the Victory Dev Section except I haven't enough posts yet. Yesterday when I got home from work my wife told me that her custom ringtone did not work. I checked her phone the default tone that she had was not checked nor were any of the other ringtones.
Today, I got a call and the same thing has happened to my phone, except I have custom ringtones for every one of my contacts and they were not applied to the contacts nor was my default ringtone. All the ringtones are still on my sd card.
Anyone else having this problem with KH3 or Victory 2.0?
Hello,
i'm using Galaxian ROM V2 and i'm very happy with it. The only problem is that sound doesn't work on media. Media sound isn't muted but i didn't hear anything. Notification sound works great. Does anybody know this problem?
Okay, seems like other users have the same problem, see:

Waiting for V3 ;-)
V3 is out!!! Does anybody know if sound problem is fixed in V3?
Okay, i have flashed the no-wipe version. Sound problem is fixed
But there is still an annoying FC in E-Mail app. If is change the cursor position inside the e-mail text i get a force close ...
