Hello,
Just trying to find out if the magnetic bits in the case will affect the Nexus 7's ability to use compass, etc.
Thanks
No

Has anyone used a bodyguardz screen protector with the note 2, does the s pen work okay with it?

I've ordered a set of full body protectors and an aluminium bumper off eBay so at least I can use the back cover if they don't work great but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

Tried it and can confirm that there's no problem with using the S Pen with.

I'm planning to revive an old DIY project on my car tablet dock. I know some people would discourage it due to the risk of an accident, i am well aware of this.
I'm wondering if there are adverse affects with docking a tablet with a magnetized casing at the back? Your inputs are appreciated. Thanks.

I think you would be better off if you made a steel back case for it. That way, you're not putting magnets on the tablet.
Maybe even something like super Velcro would be better, then if you are using in a car for navigation, the magnets won't mess with positioning.

AFAIK magnets pose no threat to mobile devices. Traditional spinning hard disks, floppy disks and CRTs can be adversely affected, but mobile devices have none of those. Currents will be deflected, but any magnet you'd be using is probably far to weak for it to actually affect operation (and would be nonpermanent in any case).

I used the heavy duty velcro. Worked like a charm

I need something a little more solid. I'm using my tablet as an offline navigation system for my jeep while off roading.

Some industrial velso can be used for that.
I recently saw some Velcro with a strength of, something like 40lbs per square inch.
I actually think its the industrial Velcro you can get at home depot.

I ordered a few of these for my titanium Grey GN2 and they are my favorite cases by far! They are brushed aluminum with metallic plastic sides. The inside is lined with a felt material. I have the light blue, silver, and black one as well as pink that I bought for my girlfriend. They make my phone look very sleek and expensive compared to any tpu cases I have!

I've also seen these listed on eBay... They come in 9 colors I believe

Do they interfere with phone signal and/or nfc?
I haven't had the chance to test NFC but my phone signal doesn't seem to be affected at all.

Can you check if GPS signal is affected?

Just checked my GPS using the navigation app and it locks on and works perfectly with the case on. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is NFC. I just tried it with my Nexus 7 and it was a no-go until I removed the case. But my phone signal and GPS are working just fine. I don't really use NFC so it's not a deal-breaker for me personally.

I have this case. The build quality is really good. Feels better in the hand than the other plastic case I have (ion guardian). Reception and gps signal is fine. Only compliant I have is it doesn't fully cover the top and bottom of the phone.
Another user posted a video review of this case.

Just to be clear, these cases aren't made from "brushed aluminum", they are plastic with "brushed-aluminum-color" finish....
I have 3 of these and I assure you they are mainly brushed aluminum with metallic plastic around the sides and camera area. It is very easy to tell when examining them. You can tell by the edging where it is cut. It also has felt lining inside to prevent scratching against the aluminum

I really like the black one but the silver one is my favorite. I use that one the most

Does anyone know or have a drop in pouch anyway kinda similar to this one? This one was for my s3. I'm looking for something I can drop my n2 in when I'm running or in the gym.
Also something with a clip (not loop) so I can clip on my shorts. No arm bands. Thanks in advance

By the way... that use to be a regular Velcro lip but I cut it off to make it a pouch.

I'm thinking HTC must have a patent on something or else someone else would be making cases that took advantage of this

Nillkin 'sort of' make use of it with their case which has a window (similar to Samsung). When the flap closes it displays the pixel clock you get with DotView.
