I have flashed every rom well ics rom gummy rom 0.90 and 1.0 and team hates 1.2 and aokp ics and jb and cm 9 non kexec and kexec cm9 and cm 10. And still it gets stuck at a percent till the phone is completely dead. IF ANY ONE knows how to fix this let me know. BTW i have sbf to 5.7.890 and updated to 5.7.906 and installed safe strap 3.0.
Now it says invalid battery on original Battery
LOL now i think i fixed it it did say invalid battery but i used a different charger and it stoped i was useing the droid x2 rapid charger that came with the droid x2 dock
Try flashing your battery stats. It could be a failing part of hardware, possibly the battery itself.

So, I had cm7 2.7. Some time ago I've installed nova hd, then nova hd plus. Because some features that I needed wasn't working on ICS, I decided to downgrade back to 2.7. I've installed clear nightles build of cm7, then after week MIUI. Both on custom OC kernel (i tryed 2 different kernels). After downgrading, on both roms i had battery issue - it showing 100%, after whole night charging, then - 30min later, after using 3g it shows 50! So, I'm plugging it back, and after 5min there is 90%...
I've tried few times;
- calibrate battery (tryed 2 apps)
- clear battery stats in recovery
currently I'm running on latest MIUI and SwiftExtreme-PowerSaving-hoc-20112011 kernel.

Does anyone know if the app "Captivate Keep Alive" is compatible with ICS?
I had been using it, but since I upgraded to ICS, it launches and shows the icon in the status bar, but only shows it initially in running services, then still in status bar, but soon after doesn't show it in running services, no battery drain (apparently it's stopped) and won't close, have to force stop to get it out of the status bar.
Tried to find on the Dev site, App Brain, etc. any documentation, but can't find anything about compatibility with ICS
Unfortunately my phone suffers the random shut downs, especially at high battery levels, when idle.
Thanks
Ive heard of it not working before with ICS based ROMS. But specifically im talking about the Team ICSSGS ROM. So first, you need to tell us what kernel you are running and what ROM. Because I switched to the Glitch new build 2 days ago and have yet to suffer a random shutdown or charge death which I got almost daily with the old build. We will see if this lasts though.

Thanks,
running Doc's Master ICS V5 with the included kernel Glitch V14-B5 Kernel
I also wasn't having any shutdowns, and thought maybe it was solved with this ROM/kernel, but then had an overnight shutdown about a week ago, but still overall probably better, because when I get up in the morning and see that captivate Keep Alive stopped, and battery is at over 80% and didn't shut down, so looking better, except that one shutdown.
Ok, B5 just had a new release a few days ago but for some reason the dev didnt change the title or update the thread. He just made a post about it. I just want to be sure, are you running the kernel I have linked in this post? It was just posted 2 days ago.

Haven't updated to the most recent version, still the version that came with the ROM, which I downloaded maybe 2 weeks ago. Didn't see the kernel was updated, now wondering if I should consider updating the kernel to the newer version, notice he indicates Nandroid backup should work, which is nice.
Edit: not clear if the other version is the right one for my ROM, maybe should stick with the version I have.
Edit 2: I guess that's the only glitch kernel, as you mentioned he hasn't updated the title/name inn a while (on my phone the version from 2 weeks ago shows V5)

I would. Thats the kernel I am running and have found it more stable than the older release. Its a simple download and flash through CWM.
EDIT: If you are currently running ICY Glitch, then an update will not effect anything. If you are currently running another kernel then you will need to check first. Post in the Q and A for your ROM.

Thanks, I'm seeing that, just not as clear without the updates to the version number, etc. Will do.
Hey,
I just realized this happens if I plug my charger into my phone while it's off. See attachment for what happens. It's rooted and has cwm. Any ideas?
The attachment seems to be broken for me, so here's a mirror: i.imgur.com/yKIN4.jpg
What ROM/Kernel do you use ? Cause this is a known problem for ICS ROMs based on LP5 kernel.
Oh ok. I thought the offline charging worked on a lower level than the os. Anyway, it's the "[ROM][09.04.12] imilka's CyanogenMod 9 v01 [IMM76D/4.0.4]" I use.
Hi all,
I am having the same re-occuring issue with all pure android jb roms like paranoid android, carbon rom, and CM rom. After flashing the ROM the battery stops charging. After removing the battery and putting it back on the issue is still there and also each time im getting a different battery level reading. The strange thing is that when i flash a touchwiz based rom eg; ultimate JB the battery charges normally without any issues. Has anybody else experienced this issue? I would be very grateful if some could suggest a solution to this problem
Thanks,
Flash these ROMs cleanly with the wipes. I have used CM, Asylum, PAC, Supernexus and other ROMs which have varied bases and have not faced the problem. Clean install of the ROMs should work, and also try erasing the battery stats.
re flashed rom with all neccessary wipes

I re-flashed cm 9.1 stable, I carried out all necessary wipes, it is getting charge, but it only charged 10 percent in 1 and a half hours, also the charge drops really fast. I really love the UI of these sort of ROMS but always having the same issues . Might have to revert back to ultimate jb rom.
If you can help me please do, I so badly want an aosp rom.
Try the AOSP based paranoidandroid or supernexus ROM. How old is you battery?
I thing just flash stock jb via Odin..
Then flash ROM with cwm with all procedure..
This may fix or problem..
Be aure that phone charging on other ROM(ICS)

My battery is about a year old, I flashed supernexus yesterday and the issue with the charging was present. So I flashed back to ultimate JB ROM and the phone is charging fine, it also charges fine on rocket rom, so it seems as though the issue is only present when I flash aosp based ROMs
try other kernels

having the same issue with carbon rom. wipe everything reload rom and it is fine for awhile then the battery stops charging again. swap batteries and the still doesn't work. go back to a touchwiz and all is fine. i am using a galaxy s3. funny part about it is that when i plug in the charger, the battery icon (dotted circle with text) starts rotating like it is charging but go into status and it say that it is not and the battery drains fairly fast. faster than normal use. it would be nice to figure this one out as i really like the carbon rom.
I was also having inaccurate battery readings when I'm using CM 10.2. But since I switched to PAC-Rom battery readings are accurate now, and even lasts longer than stock rom. (based on my experience) So you might want to try PAC Rom if you somehow need a custom rom, or flash a touchwiz based rom to save your battery lifespan.
Hello XDA Member's,
after i flashed CM 12.1 from Novafusion i have a half-working Offline charge.
Now i bought a new battery but i cant charge it, i think it's because the Offline-Charge Bug.
Is there a way to get the Stock Offline-Charge?
I went back to Stock Rom with Stock Kernel but still the Offline doesn't work like it should.
