So, I had cm7 2.7. Some time ago I've installed nova hd, then nova hd plus. Because some features that I needed wasn't working on ICS, I decided to downgrade back to 2.7. I've installed clear nightles build of cm7, then after week MIUI. Both on custom OC kernel (i tryed 2 different kernels). After downgrading, on both roms i had battery issue - it showing 100%, after whole night charging, then - 30min later, after using 3g it shows 50! So, I'm plugging it back, and after 5min there is 90%...
I've tried few times;
- calibrate battery (tryed 2 apps)
- clear battery stats in recovery
currently I'm running on latest MIUI and SwiftExtreme-PowerSaving-hoc-20112011 kernel.

I just flashed nighly 20 ont my p970 and everything seems to be all right. Then i restarted, went back to CWM and flashed v08 nova script. Since that (about 25 mins) my phone is stuck at the LG Logo... Hope any1 has got a solution for me
maybe you should pop out the battery and try again
it happens in v06-v07 as well
if you stuck again,it definitely a bootloop
try the unbrick method
I already got nightly 20 back on my phone and also tried the updated version of the kernel... also tried to update with davlic and battery wipe and without, what else could it be?
Strange, especially as it seems to work for others with this combonation as well...
Same here. Nova v8 stuck in lg logo. I tried remove battery but didn't work. I boot it into recovery and flash CM 20 and nova 7 again.

Wow, it's very strange for me if what did happen to you was true, 'cause I'm using CM7-Nightly#20 and Nova v08 Kernel well.
These are steps I've just done:
- Download the kernel then copy it to sdcard.
- Do the davik-wipe. You can find it in the advance of the Recovery menu.
- Flash the CM followed by the Kernel.
- Turn off instead of reboot the system.
Done. I waited for a few mins, then booted my phone. Everything are going fine still now. That is a battery friendly when cost only 2% after 4h.
I also got it to work soon after i posted this, but i had to sleep then and i was busy until now... But the problem was that there were/are different versions of the kernel and 1 of them doesnt seem to work with #19 and #20 nightly, as i tired both, but the nova v08-test1 worked like a charm and is battery saving as hell and i like it VEERY much! even though i am a bit confused that in cpu spy there are only values for 800, 1000 and deep sleep mode. but many others already reported this, so it either is a program bug or really a bug in the governor. Maybe I'll try another one tomorrow and report if this bug still exists But as long as battery drain is ok, i will keep lionheart, as it seems pretty fast to me.
One more thing i noticed is, that even though u set the CPU speed to a lower lvl like 600 it still seems to be set to 1000 according to cpu spy... Anyone else who also experianced this?
Nice work anyway guys and a big thanks
yes , agree, this combination kills your battery deadly
Not for me, installion went all fine. Did not reboot, but shut down instead, waited a half of a minute, then started. And performance is great, and battery got thru my day with 1+ hours of gaming and 3g+mobile network on all the time. (Left with 27% after 10h since unplugged the charger, that's fine for me)

I used CM7 #19 (as #20 has some bugs when someone calls you) and the latest Nova v08 and it worked for me. You just have to take out the battery after the first boot (if stuck on LG logo) and you should be ok.
P.S.
Another dev (aprold) is now working on Nova and he added some updates/changes on it. You might as well check on his latest post.

I use cm7#20 and last nova08. My OB works fine. Very smooth. I'm pleased with this kernel. I think CPU spy has bugs. Lionheart os ok.

Here I send you results of nova kernel v09 in CM7#20
Lionheart now true correctly working

I`ve forgotten
I didn't run nova script yet
Benchmark results without nova sctript.
Many Thanks to Aprold and knzo.
I still can't write on Development forum.
Guys, I m using nova HD RC7 form 4 days.
it worked well.
but today, its become very unstable.
auto reboot when i got call.
many apps like web browsers include stock are getting fc.
i did fix permission from rom manager and cwm
Are you using Ironkrnl or stock kernel? Ironkrnl gave me similar problems, so I'm back to stock now and those problems are gone.
Im using it since RC6-15.
And use the stock kernel.
No problems so far.
@Rohan,
Try using RC8-17....with the stock kernel...works well with a battery perf too....Iron Kernel....i had a few issues with the display going to full brightness while switching on the power button....
I am on stock kernel too....no issues for the least of 36hours...
I have flashed every rom well ics rom gummy rom 0.90 and 1.0 and team hates 1.2 and aokp ics and jb and cm 9 non kexec and kexec cm9 and cm 10. And still it gets stuck at a percent till the phone is completely dead. IF ANY ONE knows how to fix this let me know. BTW i have sbf to 5.7.890 and updated to 5.7.906 and installed safe strap 3.0.
Now it says invalid battery on original Battery
LOL now i think i fixed it it did say invalid battery but i used a different charger and it stoped i was useing the droid x2 rapid charger that came with the droid x2 dock
Try flashing your battery stats. It could be a failing part of hardware, possibly the battery itself.
Hi all,
I am having the same re-occuring issue with all pure android jb roms like paranoid android, carbon rom, and CM rom. After flashing the ROM the battery stops charging. After removing the battery and putting it back on the issue is still there and also each time im getting a different battery level reading. The strange thing is that when i flash a touchwiz based rom eg; ultimate JB the battery charges normally without any issues. Has anybody else experienced this issue? I would be very grateful if some could suggest a solution to this problem
Thanks,
Flash these ROMs cleanly with the wipes. I have used CM, Asylum, PAC, Supernexus and other ROMs which have varied bases and have not faced the problem. Clean install of the ROMs should work, and also try erasing the battery stats.
re flashed rom with all neccessary wipes

I re-flashed cm 9.1 stable, I carried out all necessary wipes, it is getting charge, but it only charged 10 percent in 1 and a half hours, also the charge drops really fast. I really love the UI of these sort of ROMS but always having the same issues . Might have to revert back to ultimate jb rom.
If you can help me please do, I so badly want an aosp rom.
Try the AOSP based paranoidandroid or supernexus ROM. How old is you battery?
I thing just flash stock jb via Odin..
Then flash ROM with cwm with all procedure..
This may fix or problem..
Be aure that phone charging on other ROM(ICS)

My battery is about a year old, I flashed supernexus yesterday and the issue with the charging was present. So I flashed back to ultimate JB ROM and the phone is charging fine, it also charges fine on rocket rom, so it seems as though the issue is only present when I flash aosp based ROMs
try other kernels

having the same issue with carbon rom. wipe everything reload rom and it is fine for awhile then the battery stops charging again. swap batteries and the still doesn't work. go back to a touchwiz and all is fine. i am using a galaxy s3. funny part about it is that when i plug in the charger, the battery icon (dotted circle with text) starts rotating like it is charging but go into status and it say that it is not and the battery drains fairly fast. faster than normal use. it would be nice to figure this one out as i really like the carbon rom.
I was also having inaccurate battery readings when I'm using CM 10.2. But since I switched to PAC-Rom battery readings are accurate now, and even lasts longer than stock rom. (based on my experience) So you might want to try PAC Rom if you somehow need a custom rom, or flash a touchwiz based rom to save your battery lifespan.
My LG 4X HD was running 4.1.2 JB and using Optimus UI. Using it daily, I experienced lags in occasions such as: entering app drawer, presing the home button while running some apps, unlocking the phone etc. So I turned off animations, device was suffering lag less often, but still it annoyed me. I decidet to install CM 10.1 hoping that lags will dissapear, but nothing changed dramitacally. Phone runs smoother now, but it's still laggy(Animations turned off even now). I have installed cca. 10 apps on the device, and it shouldn't be a big problem for device with quad core and 1GB of RAM. Any ideas what could it be?
I had same problem with lag all around on 4.1. I had best experience in v10f, that is android 4.0.
my suggestion would be flashing original KDZ first and after doing so wipe it clean before attempting to flash custom roms. 4X has 4 cores and 1 GB ram should be able to handle multitasking well. Help this helps.

it's embarassing how lg doesn't support this phone that with the jb update is full of lags. I've installed cyanogenmod with yodak kernel. Now my mobile phone is a Ferrari
I for myself think that stock ROM (V20B) + iodak kernel v06 is the best combination possible for a good balance of performance and battery life.
