LCD turns on, but still showing black screen, yea?
Simply just plug your charger and then after 20 seconds turn the phone ON!
if not working, flash nAa kernel again

Yes, you will need to root you X8, Intall a custom recorvey, then Flash a rom!
I recommend Gingerdx 22 (New one is not as good as before...)
I'm new to XDA!

You need root privileges to unlock Bootloader. It says it on the unlocker cmd file. "Getting root rights" or something similar.
Actually, you need to root to do pretty much everything here on XDA.

EXTREMELY URGENT HELP NEEDED
Hi guyz
I returned to stock eclair using the files in B.jay's cloud share but now i can't flash new roms .... (it stucks in CUSTOM kernel logo)... i thought this maybe because of relocking bootloader so i tried to unlock it using CMD files but it said : process is not permitted. and exited./
SO NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO TO UNLOCK IT AGAIN OR ANY OTHER WAYS?
Try updaten ur fone via update service an start over .use flashtools to unlock bootloader . Guess it will help u.

Reflash stock rom and kernel.
Root your phone.
Unlock the BL on your phone.
Flash a custom rom and kernel if needed.
FULL WIPE and wipe cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

Try with nAa ics kernel and MiniCM9. Does your baseband end in 015? Oh and reflash stock with PC Companion or SEUS first before retrying the steps.

I used this file to restore Eclair...and also PCC showed a update notify but i couldn't update it because of an update failure...
phone boots up in stock ROM ...
but i have not checked the baseband.
EDIT: O O.My baseband no. is:
M76XX-TSNSJOLYM-53404006
How should i change this since i can't use PCC Update?

Hey the latest hours I've been trying to get jellybean 4.x.x on my xperia x8 with no success. I started with rooting it and getting xrecovery installed. And then I unlocked bootloader using flashtool. Then i flashed the kernel used to the rom i found. Then i installed the rom from xrecovery and now its bricked. Or atleast stuck at boot. How can I get this to work? I'm out of ideas..

Are you sure your bootloader is unlocked? I see the SE logo and the kernel for jb does not show that. You're still on stock kernel afaik.

Mate as said by the above user,i dont think u have unlocked your bootloader, secondly if u are flashing a jellybeab rom then u should flash it using ClockWorkMod Recovery and not Xrecovery..Unlock your bootloader if u have not,and then flash custom kernel which has been specified in the rom thread..Follow the instructions in the rom thread and everything will work fine....all the best mate:good:

Hey, now when I've got the bootloader unlocked and CWM installed. I tried to flash a kernel for 'MiniCM9-3.0.5-shakira.zip' The kernel is 'E15_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04.ftf' but when I flashed it using flashtool 0.9.11.0 it says "flashing finished" but when I go in to the settings on the X8 and at the bottom >about phone and kernel-version. It says '2.6.29 [email protected] #1' did I succeed with the flashing? Because I have no idea. :what:

I used both methods, first tried with philz and not start to see that I used fastboot
After you flashed the kernel using fastboot, did you then boot into the included recovery and flash the entire zip? That's the usual procedure for flashing a custom kernel, as there are usually files needed for compatibility in the zip.
I just checked the kernel thread and it looks like v25 has been released, so perhaps try that also. ?
