let me know if you did this ~!
Yes this is totally possible. However you need a few thing first:
- A Motorola DynaTAC 8000x
- Screwdrivers
- HG Wells Time Machine
- Automated AI nano repair drone
- A Sandwich
1. Get yourself a Motorola DynaTAC

It is the only mobile phone device on the market that contains a 4G/LTE module that is also compatible with the Exynos 4212 CPU inside the stock i9300.
You should be able to get one from ebay for around 300$
2. After acquiring aforementioned device, dismantle it with screwdriver. This should reveal the LTE unit inside, it's the small glowing thing that looks like the "Arc Reactor" powering Iron Man's MKII armor suit (It's actually the same thing). Detach the unit (careful, it's radio active!)
3. Next you need the Time Machine from the HG Wells movie. Set it to some year in the distant future. 2863 should do the trick, but you can try something else if you feel adventurous. From there, you should be able to acquire an artificial intelligence drone that can do repairs on a nansocale level.
Contact Hollywood for the time machine.
4. After returning to the present and hoepfully succesfully acquiring an AI nano repair drone, tell it to upgrade your i9300 with the salvaged LTE module.
5. Sit back and watch the drone do it's hi-tech modification magic. Eat sandwich while doing so.
Ask your Mom for the sandwich.
Oh and you might want to take detailed pictures for other interested i9300 owners and make a proper "How to" thread. I'm at work so I don't have time to do a proper howto post, but this should get you going.
Good luck and let us know if it worked!:good:

There's quite a few. Ask away.
Ok first question its this package good?
http://m.guitarcenter.com/Item/Default.aspx?itemno=1394721&urx=1
I play instruments but never produced music. So if you were starting would this be good to start with? Thanks I need some guidance
The reviews seem okay, but not overwhelming. If you already play then I'd suggest just getting hold of some software and a decent sound card to do some home recording. That way you can at least see if you want to take it further before shelling out on something expensive.
I reckon you can spec a decent setup for cheaper than that. Even after buying that package you need multitrack software which isn't cheap.
Personally I'd recommend protools but that's just me. If you haven't used one before then none of them are that user friendly to begin with.
Sonar or Cubase may be easier to start off with.
Think about what you really need to start with and not what the package suggests you need.

Yes sorry.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Pc specs are fine.
If you have that package en route then all you really need is some kind of multitrack software as I mentioned.
I'd be very surprised if your audio interface doesn't come with either a demo of something or a very basic stripped down recording suite.
If you plan on recording more than one thing at once then you may want to throw a mixer into the equation...
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face......
^^^ This.
As Conan said earlier, Cubase is a good one. Acid is also good. It's loop-based but you don't have to use it that way and it's simple to pick up - probably more-so than most.
Incidentally, your PC specs make mine look ancient, and I've had around 30 sample channels running on Acid without any stutter, so you've got nothing to worry about there.
I used to run pro tools and reason on an eight year old Toshiba Lappy with a ****ty celeron CPU and 700 Megs of ram....
It wasn't pretty but it worked.

i'm-you can call me-a room music producer
i record my own music just using common things:
- a Laptop
- Reason software : for drum & bass
- Guitar + Amp
- Guitar effect (zoom)
- GuitarPro (for uhhh.. patterning my music )
- headphone + common mic
so far so good
Like I said before, I find Sony Acid very good for recording and mixing, and it's probably the easiest studio style app I've ever used. For drums I'll always suggest Fruity Loops, and it's very versatile too, being able to add VST plugins so being anything you need it to be, not just a drum machine.
Thanks guys anything else you suggest I should know. Any Miami people??

Oh my:
first i'd pack many, many sd cards to fill with data like music, the offline wikis, maps, any history apps I could find, sports almanac and survival guides.
If there's an app for home cures for common diseases, I'd take it.
I would also have an sd card for a variety of technologies, like the steam engine, the coal engine, the internal combustion engine, electrical schematics and so forth copied to my phone in the form of png and jpeg files that I could use to recreate them in the past. If I'm going that far back, then so is 1800s-1900s technology. That'd help everyone in the future because technology would end up hundreds of years in the future.
voice to text translator app, if there is one, or at least a translator app period.
To screw with the old time people, I would grab an assortment of flashy light and sound apps, like a lightsaber app and hide it in my sleeve so when my arm moved, it made the epic "voooom vooooom" noise so people would think i were some powerful wizard. The flashing lights apps i'd use in the dark to make people believe I could conjure up lights at my command, furthering the "powerful warlock" deal. Then use my new influence to get slaves to build the technology I'd be very much missing at that point.
Probably a huge assortment of other things I'd have to wrack my brain to figure out. I'd spend days planning before leaving so, off the top of my head, that's what i'd take.

Phone with battery that last longer than my Nokia 1100, or 3310.
And yeah, the light pool is sooo cool. Me want tooo~
Yea that light pool is good but I don't think I'd like a flip phone anymore, I'd prefer a knight rider kit car style line of leds going across the top of the phone with kits voice added to navigation and finish all instruction by calling me Michael in a dry sarcastic tone.
I'd also like boot loader password to protect against people hacking my phone and a nuclear battery that would last forever, that could double up as a small yield nuke for blowing things up at will.

There is one screw under the sim/mem card slot. Take that out. you can then use something thin to separate the back cover from the rest of the phone.
Its a bit stiff but it will come off.
I have had my cover off.
BUT be careful around the usb port as the plastic there is thin and can and will snap if your not gentle with it around that area.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a test point?
Not to worry, we're all learners here! The test point, as far as I am concerned/aware, is a way of unlocking the bootloader through a more physical process than just flashing something. I'm not sure how it works, nor what the "official" use of it is but it's been mentioned several times in other Xperia device forums so I'm looking into them at the moment for a way to unlock my bootloader with rooting status: no.

Yeah, the test point unlock, remember that from my good ol' days with my Xperia Neo V. I'm not sure what its actual use was in terms of its official design, but it was shorted out in the process and allowed for the unlocking without having to go through the official Sony unlocking process, pretty much allowing for you to relock it and still retain warranty, DRM wasn't wiped, etc. But if you accidentally used the wrong point, the phone bricked. ^^"

Now I am no dev, but as far as I got the porting thing right, you have to have kinda simmilar hardware to port from that phone to yours and only then your port will boot on your phone...if I got that right: what will happen when you just change the CPU of your phoneblock? Will your OS be able to boot again? Or do you have to do a full wipe, flash a new ROM and then you change the CPU in order to get the phone running with the new block of Cpu
If I didn't get that porting thing right, would be nice if someone explains it^^
