hey guyz my note recently got screwed up power problems , so i flashed the stock rom back and unrooted my not to fix my note on the warranty from service center so after 3 days of leaving my note there the maintenance team told me " this time we will fix your phone on the warranty but next time dont root it " how the hell did they find that out and they told me also that i have flashed 87 times via oden so i wanna root back my phone and try Asylum cyanogenmode 10.1 , 4.2.1 so is there anyway to clear the flash and root history from where ever they are found ???
also they told me you can flash whatever custom rom you'd like as long as you dont root your phone
so i found out that flashing on the stock rom without rooting does not void your warranty
thanks all in advance
may be because the counter was not cleared and you had a yellow triangle at boot ?
yes. you can flash any stock rom using odin and that doesnot void the warranty
---------- Post added at 11:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 PM ----------
you can check that in download mode... triangle away app can reset it

how can i reset the binary count ??
and if i reset the binary and root it, will the service center know that i rooted it ??
edit : i just checked and opened download mode : custom binary download : yes ( 87 counts)
yes thats from where they came to know.
If you root, and before going to service center, just unroot and make sure the counter is 0 .. no one will come to know

my 1st post last line
87 Flashed roms! OMG, you are a Flasheaholic... Try using Chainfire's Triangle Away app, it will reset your binary counter and delete the Triangle (if you have it, of course)
Good luck! Sorry my bad english
87 count not necessarily mean flashed roms 87 roms. Just run into a small brick and your counter will say over 50 trying to restore your phone. He he.

Are you sure its not soft brick?
If its really hardbrick, flash the latest stock kernel from the firmware of your region (if you had custom kernel).

If it gets stuck on factoryfs, it may be a case of a bricked device which i hope isnt the case with you... I flashed stock lpf eith bootloader n pit files from dr ketan's thread.. Mine got through the factoryfs thing.. I suggest you to go through brick threads to grt more idea..
Hi,
I want to root my device, which i have upgraded recently to 4.1.2
the thing is, I found some information in root threads regarding build no. like XXAMA1, XXAMA2, XXAMA4 ...etc
what are the differences between them? if all of them are 4.1.2 JB?! will anyone work?
to make it easier, which thread can work to root my SG3mini device:
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband version: I8190XXAMA3
Kernel version: 3.0.31-860525
Build number: JZ054K.I8190XXAMA3
You can just root the one you got. No need to re-flash the whole rom.
---------- Post added at 10:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:39 PM ----------
Here is also a very good explanation on these PDA/PHONE/CSC codes.

Yes you can, but only if you make a factory reset first. Otherwise you'll have bootloops or force closed apps.

No it shouldn't be any problem. Factory reset makes sure there is no leftovers from previous install. Clears cache, settings, user data.

Just flash a wipe.tar and then your firmware.
I never had to flash param.lfs to get it boot.
Once I had to pull the battery and power on again when it got stuck on boot after flash.

Yes flash as pda. It's basicly the same as a factory reset.
If your phone reboots after, just put it in download again and flash firmware.

thank you tys0n for your replies! i kept my CSC, didn't change it.. since i'm already having 4.1.2 (last firmware for s3 mini till now)
and followed this way to root my device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2150979
and it worked
the only thing is, this way increased the flash counter! i dont know how is this bad, but i guess just if i want to give it to someone to check it, they will know, right?!
BUT I found other rooted ROM that they will reset binary count after flash to "none"! and will show firmware as "official" instead of "custom"..
anyway, good to learn and i'm saying all that just in case any noob like me saw this thread in the future maybe they can find one useful info or two
sorry TerenceTP7 that i can't help you.. still new to those things..
and thank you again tys0n

After that progress i've just flashed the ROM again because i don't need root of that stuff only the right ROM with can be reconize bij Samsung KIES. I'm just a normal user but the AUT ROM have some problems.

How can i reset this?

Read some, learn some.
Triangle away won't make your csc:unknown "problem" go away.
Reset the binary count won't make your device take kies or ota updates neither.
What do you want to achieve here? Back to unrooted stock or what?

I have just fix my csc met the Galaxy S3 Mini Toolkit (donated version).
- Root my phone with toolkit
- Download CSC Select for Galaxy S3 (mini) from Play Store
- Reflash DBT Stock ROM so i was original, but when in download mode i see that my counter just on 1 and not at no/0
(for garantee).
So i'll root my phone back one of the days, just get triangle away to reset the counter enad reflash the originale stock rom DBT.
Then my phone is with a good CSC, counter on 0, no root (no need it), KIES just working and my garantee is not gone.

Please help me. Please..explain me.. my device says custom binary download yes (1) and the following two say: custom binary: Samsung Official and system status: Official. Does custom binary download yes (1) show that someone modified my device? It is bought as new from store. It's i 9305 Samsung S3 4G. One more thing..it has some Vodafone applications on it.. we don't have Vodafone in my country. If Vodafone were messing with the phone adding apps and stuff does that changes to "Custom Binary Download Yes (1)" but the phone still has the official Samsung software??
I'm asking because I can't upgrade the phone to 4.3. I't still 4.1.2. I received official update but can't be installed. It downloads completely and when installing it gets interrupted at 27% of installing with the message try kies or PC to install your update, but then another problem...my two PCs don't recognize my device. Please help. Thank you.

Hi, my K Zoom needs to go to the Samsung technical service (some rare drops on the camera sensor), but I flashed a kernel, and then the latest official Rom with odin, and now I have the triangle shown on the download mode.
How can I revert the K Zoom to get the guarantee service?
I've read the ChainFire thread but the k zoom it's not listed to be supported. Someone had used it?
Any advice?
Please,I need you!
Thanks in advance!
No one has an idea?:crying:
Just download the firmware from Sam Mobile and flash with Odin. Do not flash any kernel. It will Revert Back to Stock and you can send it for Warranty Claim.
---------- Post added at 12:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:47 PM ----------
Do not flash any other file Except for Stock Firmware for your Model and it will be Okay.
Thanks!
The sequence i used:
1.- Custom Kernel Flashed
2.- Original firm from Sam Mobile and flashed with odin
3.- Now i´m not root and everything in stock
Now, when i enter in download mode this is what i see, with a previous screen with a yellow triangle, and then this:
Produc name: sm-115
Current Binary: samsung Official
System Status: Official
Ap swrev: (1)
If you´re right, the phone is stock and in guarrantee, isn´t it?
Thanks again!
(I´m traying to be really sure because i only have one try in the technical service... :angel

No
You cannot send this phone to samsung in this condition.
Do NOT flash Custom Kernel flash only firmware and then have a look if its changed to No Triangle.
THANKS Talpur!
So... I flashed the original rom, the triangle is still there. What could I do? Any idea? Thanks, once again.
Try Traingle away.

That will probably solvr your problem.

After running triangle away flash the rom again to be sure.
sorry, no chance yet
you can still try to sent it in
they will either send it back,
or offer to repair at your cost
else... sell it as defective on eBay
