I have a HD Zagg Invisible Shield installed on my Note 2. Not happy with all the marks made by the S-Pen. Does anyone have a normal or smudge-proof shield installed on their Note 2? Does the S-Pen mark up the shield? Thanks.

Btw gorilla glass still scratches. Its scratch resistant not scratch proof.

I'm using those too. tech Armour. they suck. the application is easy, but I already scratched a hole in it so it's easily damaged, which means it's barely protecting your screen.

From what I've read, I've seen happy results with Spigen or Just Like Glass. I believe JLG claims better protection, but Spigen has a little better coverage. I have the "pink" Spigen one and am very happy. Install went perfect, lined up well and if you're super careful with dust, a dry install is fine. It's also a 2-pack so you can replace it when it gets marked up.

I'm jumping on this "Zagg is crap" train. SPen smuggling everywhere after only a week. While Corning is smooth under the fingers, Zagg is slightly less rougher than sandpaper while attempting a scroll. Way overpriced. And buddies, if you ain't a master at applying, you definitely just wasted $25! My advice: pass up the Zagg aisle.
I have Just Like Glass. It's been 10 days, and there are still three bubbles of solution under it. They are shrinking steadily day by day, but it can take two weeks to clear up. Application was easy. Surface is slick and hard. Gonna be cool once the bubbles FINALLY evaporate.

Pretty awesome if you ask me. The one thing I am worried about it cases. I don't want to get a case that will peel the edges up or anything. :/

My son just got his N2 and all they had at Best buy was the Zagg. He got it for some peace of mind until I could see him last weekend. I had an SGP oleophobic ready to go . I took a good look at the Zagg before removing it and it looked like the crazing you seen on old pottery. Horrible. I put on the SGP and he was like ”wow! Look at how beautiful my screen is!”

Best Buy has a "New & Improved - Smudge Free" zagg invisible shield. Along with the High Definition version. The Smudge free doesn't feel rubbery like the original Invisible Shield, and has a stronger texture than the HD version. I would still prefer the HD version because for some reason the smudge free one feels very similar to the Anti Glare 2$ protectors from Amazon/eBay

In the Galaxy Note 10.1 forums, many complain that the Zagg feels terrible with the rubbery S Pen tip. Drags a lot, they recommended those crystal clear ones like those from ClearPlex. I dont think they have one for the note II yet tho.

I hope best skins ever make one for note 2 I allways use them much better than zagg and cheaper.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the user manual recommend NOT using a screen protector? Something about it interfering with the S-Pen.
But yeah, I'd go with something other than the invisibleshield, as stated above it adds a lot of friction (in my experience) and you get a sort of orange-peel effect.
FYI looks like they ship 10/24-10/26 for those who were waiting

Ok, call me crazy, but I find myself wondering how much use I will get out of the pen. I am used to android and navigating with my fingers. As well my ipad too.
What about the zagg HD it feels just like glass compared to normal or anti-glare zagg I don't think it will feel too rubbery. I've had zagg since my hero days and I love them. I'm waiting for US release of GN2 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get zagg HD for it as long as one comes out for it. I'll report back and let you guys know how it is.

As an FYI, the skin protectors are good against scratches not drops. I know it's common sense but I had a perfectly self applied zagg shield on my Nexus One and it fell off my night stand and the screen broke. After that I went out and bought a Seidio Surface Case and haven't looked back.
They had a Zagg skin on the display model of the original note I tried out at Target and it really didn't work very well with the S-pen, as stated too much drag, felt awful. Something between that feel and the too slick feel of the naked screen would be perfect. I thought I had that right after applying the Spigen Ultra Crystal, it was just right initially but it became as slick as the glass after a little finger oil accumulated.
Keep away from this guys the zagg for note2 really not good i hv bought one from bestbuy before yesterday and i have regret to buy, toutching is not good, all not good at all, i just west 27 usd for nothing, ill go and buy sgp from amazon

I think they should all be good enough for the pen. Even the cheap on I got from the sprint store is plenty hard enough.
With that said I'm ordering this one below. I've had them before and they are ultra clear and very scratch resistant. Far better than Zagg.

Do not look at any of the wet install protectors. They will get indentions from the s-pen. All the dry install ones will be fine tho. Ghost armor, zagg hd... both get tiny marks from the s-pen.
Avoid the SGP Ultra Optics and probably all the matte and anti-fingerprint protectors. I thought a bit of grip would help handwriting but that was a huge mistake, the loose tip doesn't get along with the extra grip.

Hmm...I don't agree with this post.
I have the SGP Ultra Optics on my Note 2 now and it actually aids in using the S-Pen with less slippery surface.
The pen still glides over the surface well enough while providing some paper like texture.
The only thing that I don't like is how it makes a bit of squeaky sound, but it's not too bad.
The SGP Ultra makes the screen less reflective of the ambient lights and is still clear enough to show the screen very well.
Highly recommended!
I ordered one of the dba just like glass protectors. Ill let you guys know how it turns out.

I just wanted to share this very cheap screen protector i bought off ebay. I originally had the one from the sprint store that covers the screen only but the s pen scratched it everytime. I bought these and it covers a good part of the front unlike the sprint one. Ive had it for a week and used the s pen ALOT and not one scratch. If i had to compare it to one id say its as good as the one that comes with the UAG cases. Its very clear the screen is very responsive. I posted some pics along with the seller. I really think everyone would be happy with these protectors

I used the XtremeGUARD protector on my screen (not full-body) for about a week while waiting for SGP protectors to come in. The S Pen marked the protector up badly. Use those XtremeGUARD protectors--and any wet-apply protector--only if absolutely necessary on the Note 2.
I would agree if we didn't use the s-pen. It only seems fluid if the screen is naked, or I am using a ultra crystal screen protector. Then, it's almost slippery. Now if I could not get dust underneath AND line it up right, I would be happy. Very difficult with this damn enormous screen, lol.
I ordered two sets of these a couple days ago before seeing this post, now I'm excited to receive these I had ordered some ikross branded ones from amazon two weeks ago which turned out to be crap, hopefully these are a lot better.

And don't forget the useless plastic screen protector. Got my glacier Defender this Saturday, went through 3 at local Verizon store - all have the same problem with a gap underneath of plastic screen protector. Completely kills the experience using touch screen. Plus, s-pen left marks on the plastic screen, couldn't even wipe them off easily. The same problem described in every review on Amazon, and other forums/posts. Yes, you can punch it out (use hair dryer to soften up glue and push it out), but what a disappointment with Otterbox rushing this release. I called them up, they created a case for replacement since I was hoping their manufacturing process was corrected. But it sounds like they are having delays and I might not get a replacement in time before my 2wk store return period is over. So, I'm returning it back and will wait for Defender v2, whenever its available lol!!! Right now, the only case I'm looking forward to is UAG! But unfortunately its on back order

The glacier defender is brilliant! Yes, the screen protector sucks, but I have always been under the impression that everyone removes that and uses a stand alone screen protector.

But wouldn't removing the screen protector will void the warranty? Then, if you have an issue with your case (outer rubber part or inner plastic case, interlocking tabs, etc.) - how would you send it back w/o screen protector? and if you save it and glue it back, wouldn't they notice it?

As far as I know, that is not how Otterbox does business. Mind you, I have never returned a product to them for a refund but I have had about 6 replaced over the past few years. (for different devices)
They do not require that you send the product back to them for a replacement. If you file an online claim they will ask for pictures of the case.. But by calling them to file a claim, I have never had to send pictures.
Their customer service is outstanding.
And if you've had the case for more than 6 months they are more than willing to provide a replacement.
Popping out the included screen protector doesn't rid the shell of the glue.. So if you save the protector, you could stick it on and make it look like it is still attached, if they need pictures.
I'm perfectly happy with the protection so far, getting used to the screen protector. I'm not really falling for the urban armor guard.

What are the best options for screen protectors right now? Has anyone tried the spigen ultra crystal for the g2, i have had good experiences with them in the past. I know that with my galaxy nexus the glass was curved so much that a normal screen protector couldn't fit across the entire screen and the wet apply screen protectors were a mess and looked horrible. Does the g2 have the same problem?
I was wondering the same thing. Anyone bought a screen protector they're happy with? Not a big fan of the wet application type
I used one of the wet application ones from Phantom Skinz (sp?) on my Nexus. It worked so well that I plan on ordering one for the G2.
I actually got the ones from T-Mobile and was quite surprised on how much I like them! They are a dry application, very easy to install, not sticky at all (feel very much like the natural surface before the screen protector), and what I like most...very, very clear and fingerprint and smudge resistant. The only downside is they are a little bit more than I usually spend on screen protectors, $17 for 2.

Wow that seems like a good sign, the best screen protector is one that you can't tell is on the phone. I'm curious, how much of the screen does it cover and do you have any pictures of it installed that you could share?
I got the only one that AT&T stocked. It's a glossy as opposed to an anti glare but the fit and finish is spot on and I can't even tell it's there. Very pleased.
/except for the glossy part
I picked up a few screen protectors from xtreemguard .com. pretty much the same thing as best skins ever. Used code fall80 for 80 percent off. Order was 3 bucks for shipping and two screen. Shipping was fast. Not amazing but definitely the best under $10.
I'm currently rocking the XOSkins wet application screen protector and like it so far.

Probably not terribly different from most plastic films, but man it hazes up from fingerprints like nothing else. I cleaned it off today with rubbing alcohol and it has already picked up some mild scratches. Guess you cant expect too much for less than a buck per screen protector.

I use the Spigen Ultra Crystal. My third phone whith them. Would not use any other. It actually seems just a tad small but I guess that leaves room for a case. It leaves about an 1/8 of an inch around the sides.
I use to pay the big money for ZAGG. When I bought my G2 (9/12) there wasn't anyone that had screen protectors, so I bought the 3 pack from VZW. I still have the first one on, and no issues. Paid like 10 bucks. It works fine for me.

I can say that the thing it says..it delivers..now I can easily check out my official mails at crowded place and am not worried about the guys standing around me as its not visible to them..that is something I really like about it and moreover it is very finely gripped on the phone and does not even give the feel as If I have placed something on the screen.....I know its quite new one but I am liking this product...
Go with the iloome tempered glass protector I had one on my note 2 it works great and it curves to the edges

Just wanted everyone to know that I picked up these from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EL94VPQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and although they fit well, the adhesive is too weak and they are slightly too big. The is a little lifting around the edges but the poetic case does not interfere with it.
I use these:

Easy to install and the edges do not interfere with my VZW shell/holster case. Been using on my N7 with poetic case for several months and still looks beautiful. Comes with lifetime guarantee too.
