And don't forget the useless plastic screen protector. Got my glacier Defender this Saturday, went through 3 at local Verizon store - all have the same problem with a gap underneath of plastic screen protector. Completely kills the experience using touch screen. Plus, s-pen left marks on the plastic screen, couldn't even wipe them off easily. The same problem described in every review on Amazon, and other forums/posts. Yes, you can punch it out (use hair dryer to soften up glue and push it out), but what a disappointment with Otterbox rushing this release. I called them up, they created a case for replacement since I was hoping their manufacturing process was corrected. But it sounds like they are having delays and I might not get a replacement in time before my 2wk store return period is over. So, I'm returning it back and will wait for Defender v2, whenever its available lol!!! Right now, the only case I'm looking forward to is UAG! But unfortunately its on back order

The glacier defender is brilliant! Yes, the screen protector sucks, but I have always been under the impression that everyone removes that and uses a stand alone screen protector.
The defender with the Zagg invisible shield hd is proving to be a perfect combination for me.

But wouldn't removing the screen protector will void the warranty? Then, if you have an issue with your case (outer rubber part or inner plastic case, interlocking tabs, etc.) - how would you send it back w/o screen protector? and if you save it and glue it back, wouldn't they notice it?

As far as I know, that is not how Otterbox does business. Mind you, I have never returned a product to them for a refund but I have had about 6 replaced over the past few years. (for different devices)
They do not require that you send the product back to them for a replacement. If you file an online claim they will ask for pictures of the case.. But by calling them to file a claim, I have never had to send pictures.
Their customer service is outstanding.
And if you've had the case for more than 6 months they are more than willing to provide a replacement.
Popping out the included screen protector doesn't rid the shell of the glue.. So if you save the protector, you could stick it on and make it look like it is still attached, if they need pictures.
I'm perfectly happy with the protection so far, getting used to the screen protector. I'm not really falling for the urban armor guard.

I just wanted to share this very cheap screen protector i bought off ebay. I originally had the one from the sprint store that covers the screen only but the s pen scratched it everytime. I bought these and it covers a good part of the front unlike the sprint one. Ive had it for a week and used the s pen ALOT and not one scratch. If i had to compare it to one id say its as good as the one that comes with the UAG cases. Its very clear the screen is very responsive. I posted some pics along with the seller. I really think everyone would be happy with these protectors

I agree, bought mine from the same seller. Smooth and doesn't scratch like some other screen protectors I've used. Would definitely recommend. If you don't want to pay $13 for a single SGP, can't go wrong with these.

Normal. It's not oleophobic or anything like that. And it's not a matte protector either so fingerprints will show.

Bought this generic from Amazon for $4 :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009KT4ONQ/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00
Easy to apply to both front and back though the surface is not as smooth as the gorilla glass. Seems to be giving good protection for the 1+ week I have been using it.

I used the XtremeGUARD protector on my screen (not full-body) for about a week while waiting for SGP protectors to come in. The S Pen marked the protector up badly. Use those XtremeGUARD protectors--and any wet-apply protector--only if absolutely necessary on the Note 2.
I would agree if we didn't use the s-pen. It only seems fluid if the screen is naked, or I am using a ultra crystal screen protector. Then, it's almost slippery. Now if I could not get dust underneath AND line it up right, I would be happy. Very difficult with this damn enormous screen, lol.
I ordered two sets of these a couple days ago before seeing this post, now I'm excited to receive these I had ordered some ikross branded ones from amazon two weeks ago which turned out to be crap, hopefully these are a lot better.

I agree with the OP. This screen protector is excellent and does not scratch with the S pen like the Sprint store screen protector. I did have to sacrifice one when applying because of dust under the screen and there is still two microscopic one on the second screen protector but it does not bubble up so I am leaving it there.

Hi,
As I changed my Gel case for a thin TPU one, I now have a small problem
I'm using a budget screen cover and all around it, there is a 3 to 5 mm zone where there isn't any protection.
I didn't notice it earlyer as the case was a lot more thick...
Could you please advise me a clear screen cover which is closer to the border of the phone ?

I have used skinomi for every gadget I own, but I since I have a cruzerlite case I need a screen protector that does not cover the entire screen.

You may want to check out the Just Like Glass. I haven't seen or used it myself, but the CEO does come on here and discusses the product.
From what he says, it's designed to leave 1/16" around the phone so people can use it with cases, such as a TPU, and not have the case push on the edge of the protector, per user requests. Sometimes, the cases push the protector up, which can lead the dirt getting under it or peeling.
I'm going to order one when they become available again, which is expect next week. I'm coming from using Zagg protectors the last four or so years.
That sounds great! Exactly what I need. I'm gonna have a look at it

Most screen protector manufacturers don't go all the way to the edge because of the rounded glass samsung used. I can attest to this, you don't want a protector up that far on the glass, because it will peel after a few times going in and out of your pocket. I only had this happen with wet application protectors (Ghost Armor and Zagg HD are two I used, both failed). I switched to SGP's Ultra Crystal, which feels like the original glass and doesn't reach the rounded part.
I have a HD Zagg Invisible Shield installed on my Note 2. Not happy with all the marks made by the S-Pen. Does anyone have a normal or smudge-proof shield installed on their Note 2? Does the S-Pen mark up the shield? Thanks.

From what I've read, I've seen happy results with Spigen or Just Like Glass. I believe JLG claims better protection, but Spigen has a little better coverage. I have the "pink" Spigen one and am very happy. Install went perfect, lined up well and if you're super careful with dust, a dry install is fine. It's also a 2-pack so you can replace it when it gets marked up.

I'm jumping on this "Zagg is crap" train. SPen smuggling everywhere after only a week. While Corning is smooth under the fingers, Zagg is slightly less rougher than sandpaper while attempting a scroll. Way overpriced. And buddies, if you ain't a master at applying, you definitely just wasted $25! My advice: pass up the Zagg aisle.
I have Just Like Glass. It's been 10 days, and there are still three bubbles of solution under it. They are shrinking steadily day by day, but it can take two weeks to clear up. Application was easy. Surface is slick and hard. Gonna be cool once the bubbles FINALLY evaporate.

Pretty awesome if you ask me. The one thing I am worried about it cases. I don't want to get a case that will peel the edges up or anything. :/

My son just got his N2 and all they had at Best buy was the Zagg. He got it for some peace of mind until I could see him last weekend. I had an SGP oleophobic ready to go . I took a good look at the Zagg before removing it and it looked like the crazing you seen on old pottery. Horrible. I put on the SGP and he was like ”wow! Look at how beautiful my screen is!”

Best Buy has a "New & Improved - Smudge Free" zagg invisible shield. Along with the High Definition version. The Smudge free doesn't feel rubbery like the original Invisible Shield, and has a stronger texture than the HD version. I would still prefer the HD version because for some reason the smudge free one feels very similar to the Anti Glare 2$ protectors from Amazon/eBay

Does anyone have this one? I had a bumper on an iPhone previously and liked how it gave it some grab when I set it down on a table. But also gives some protection while keeping it closer to naked.

Is it pretty thin? Also, is the bumper flush with the case on the back? I had a Belkin one on my games horrible.
Don't have it myself, but heard it scratches and very slippery.
I have this case and it's great. My coworker has the black one and it does scratch quite easily and is noticeable, but I have the white one, so it's not too bad. It's slim and protects the screen well. It's not as nice as the OEM S3 one but it works well and matches nicely.
I currently use the black one. It has a great design because the back is glossy which helps you slide the phone in and out of the pocket with ease and offers protection with minimal bulk. You can also put the screen face down without worry of scratching the screen. The buttons are also covered by the bumber so you dont need to worry about the buttons wearing down from moisture.

Just to let you know, if you don't already, that this is more of a case than a bumper. Everyone keeps throwing around the word bumper. This case does have a back. It is not a bumper in the sense that it only surrounds the sides of the phone.

Yes. Thanks for clarifying in the thread though. I'm going to give it a try and will report back. I'm not a fan of cases in general, but I dropped my last s3 and it was forever scarred with a scrape on the corner of the bezel.
Seems like it would be cool of Samsung made it so you removed the oem back and then attached the bumper case using the clips. Vs adding a second back.

Scare that the screen will be cracked and I don't want to use the flip case. I wonder is that necessary to use the screen protector like this :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...otectors&var=460214742391&hash=item25833c60f5
it looks really good but the problem is will it too thick? and the price is seriously too high (for a screen protector).
Any suggestion?
But the glas.tr on amazon. It's tempered so if you drop the phone the screen protector might crack but your actual phone screen won't. Check some YouTube videos. Extremely durable.

It's a good glass protector albeit at the typical high price. No regular screen protector feels as smooth as a tempered glass protector but you'd have to wait for the generic ones to show up on ebay if you're looking for a lower price.
I think a good Screen protector is definitely worth it. when I got my Note 2 last year I didn't use a screen protector and chipped my screen within a week of getting it.

I had one on my last device. Dropped it pretty nasty on concrete and while the Glas.Tr screen protector cracked in the corner, the device's screen was minty fresh and had no damage. If you drop your phone as often as I do, it's definitely worth it. I'm waiting till they officially release from Spigen on Amazon so I can use Prime on it.
Are the people on Amazon crying about bubbles popping up after a few weeks with the GLAS protectors typical morons, or is it not just a matter of user error?
