Does anyone know if these screen animations are available for the Inc S?? I think it's pretty cool and I'd love to know if this works for the Incredible S.

Yep. Those are on CyanogenMod 7. You can simply enable them in the Cyanogen-menu. But it's also available for AndroidRevolution HD (CRT-Screen Animation). Works very nice

Do you have a preference for CM7 over RevHD?? I'm kinda new to this and so far RevHD is the only one I tried. Do you have any feedback on CM7 vs RevHD??

Do you have a link to AndroidRevolution HD (CRT-Screen Animation) for Incredible S?? I can find it for ARHD 5.1.1. but I'm using the Incredible S version 1.1.3... Are they the same??
Sure. I had ARHD since i rooted my phone (as alpharevx launched public). It's a very nice rom - the best if you want Sense. But i'll never regret my switch to CM7 (about a month ago). It's totally smooth & faster than any rom i had before. Also the configuration possibilities are amazing.
In ArHD you have to flash that animation seperately. In CM7, it's included.
Yeah, you should be able to install that animation, cause it's linked in the IncS-thread. The files for sense 3.0 are the same for the IncS and the DHD version.
P.s. if you still have questions, feel free to contact me

Awesome thanks so much man, I may just have to try out CM7, I've been thinking about it but I didn't really know how they compare. Thanks again for the feedback!!
No problem. Yeah, you should really try out CM7, it's definetely worth it. I just updated to Nightly #46, and all nightlies were stable for me without any force closes. Daily use
And as i told u before, just ask me if there are some other questions

Hey, Im having an issue with the crt animation, after I flash the crt animation for desire hd on my IS, the 4 buttons doesn't light up, and the worst part is I didn't do nanddroid backup before I flash the crt animation.
Are there any way i can get all 4 buttons back?
Hey man, I tried out CM7 last night and I must say it seems really really god and fast so far. I love how everything is darker and easily themed. Thanks for the push
@wpra3: try to reflash ArHD without wiping.
@johnblundon: yep, that's pretty cool in CM, that makes it kinda 'clean'. I think the first setup needs a little time, because some settings are on a different place, but then, it's just perfect & fast. No problem

Seems great so far man, super fast. Thanks again for the advice before I tried it, being kinda new I'm always a little nervous trying something new, nice to have someone else with he same phone to look to before jumping into it
why do button backlights fail with CRT animation on Sense ROMs in the first place ?
Because the DRHD (the mod is taken from that version) doesn't have the rotating backlight.

Is it availablefor virtuous unity ROM? If so, please send me link to download and instructions ....thanks

why do sense roms not have crt animations in the first place? Or the network icons that change colours...
Because sense is sense. And i hope that makes sense for you
No..i mean, that's cause it's modified by htc and they deleted that feature
Can't i port the crt animations on my official rom.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
there is CRT screen off animation with rotating buttons and backlighting in VirtiousROM.
Anybody else using it? Let's see some screenshots. I still have to get around to taking some of my own lol.
I have it but I just love the sense lock screen and how it has the animated unlock can't get away from it

I had the HTC Battery widget on my phone but had to reset and reinstall ICS. It seems you can't get to the HTC widgets from HTC Hub on ICS like I could on Gingerbread. Does anyone know how I can get that widget back?
Couldn't bring it back, but I installed elixir2 widgets and have it there.

Unlike some others. I don't redirect your question and offer you something you didn't ask for. I give you what you ask for or don't comment. Here it is - works fine on my Vivid with ICS aside from animations not working and the background of the details screen slightly off. I'll get around to fixing that.

So how do you get it? I had it before when I upgraded OTA to ICS but lost it when I had to reset the phone and do a clean install of ICS. My wife's phone is still on gingerbread and I can get it on her phone, if I knew where and what to look for I could try moving it over to mine.
It hapened the same with my Desire S. I would like to restore the HTC battery widget, I liked it in GB and I want to keep it in ICS.
Can anyone help?
Battery widget from the play store looks exactly like the screen shots and its free if that helps.

Where did you get that battery % mod? I have been trying to find out for regular standard rooted stock ICS 3.26 base of sense 3.6

Just like gotzaDroid said you can get the exact widget from the play store.I use it and it works great and looks just like the old stock one.

Yeah, I would like to know where to get one too. In the taskbar, there's a percentage in the actual battery.
I belive the ICS update also replaced Sense 3.0 with v3.6, which doesn't have the clock widget. You can try Battery Guru on Google Play.
I am a noob with ROMs. I unlocked my phone with...
[TOOL] HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit V2.2 [6-7-2012] [PERM ROOT] [Noob-Proof]
Is there a ROM that is pure Ice Cream Sandwich with the proper drivers for the HTC Vivid? Is there one similar to the first question but keeps HTC Sense?
I think the closest you'll get is by Wajee: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582670
I'm running it now and love it. Very stable, very clean.
I saw that one, but I hate trying ones without screenshots. I might go ahead and bite on it though.
You might also want to try Virtuous Inquisition. I am currently trying it out and so far have no issues.

Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 is what I am running now. IMO, it is the best ROM for the Vivid currently available. I do wish though it had the clock/weather widgets and would fix the signal strength bars perhaps also increasing them to 5 or 6 bars instead of 4.

I was actually using the other one that has the weather to the right of the clock to save screen space. I might go ahead and try the one you linked to but damn that thing is BIG.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the Google Search bar on the top of all the home screens in Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 without uninstalling Google Search? It doesn't appear to be able to be dragged to remove.
Is there is a middle east edition rom for htc vivid ????

Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 "might". It has what appear to be Arabic-looking characters during the first boot setup.

I figured it out. It's in NOVA SETTINGS > DESKTOP > PERSISTENT SEARCH BAR. Changed it to NEVER. Now it is gone

Maybe, lol. The HTC Vivid is one of AT&T's first 4G LTE phones and was recently released so the chances of it getting upgraded to a newer Android OS is pretty good IMO.

Especially an incremental update like this one...
After going back to my home screen by using the home button, or tapping back many times im getting this annoying little loading sign ... it's only there for a few seconds but it's very annoying
The first time this problem ever happened was after ths initial release of ICS, a simple restore fixed it... since then iv used the XL 3.6, 1.6v ROM. 3 Musketeers sense 4 ROM and also 3 musketeers insanely cool sense 3.6, After about a day or so of using each ROM i get this loading sign when going back to the home screen .... re-installing or restoring ROM's fixes it but only for a day or so. Does anyone know whats causing this? It's starting to really bug me
Thanks,
vFlagR

Make sure you Wipe dalivk after trying Smooth Rosie.
Here is the link for it. Rosie Link
You have to flash it via CWM and do a dalvik wipe after installing it.
Let the ROM settle down and Your Rosie will be Reset to default ( think so )
You can see now Rosie is way lot smoother than you find it in Stock. But 3D effect has taken off to make it smoother and faster
If you are on Sense 4 ROM kindly dont flash it.
