I use Go Launcher Tablet edition, what works for me was to get the ICS Google Gallery APK and move it to System/Apps folder using root explorer; then change permissions to rw-r-r and from the gallery set the image that i want to wallpaper, depending on what apps you have installed, there will pop another request for the crop app, use the same Google gallery in case it shows other apps.

good
It worked well, thank you very much.

Alternatively, you can download the app Backgrounds HD Wallpapers

[Q] Adding Wallpapers to ADW launcher

[Q] Where is the default wallpaper stored for custom roms??

I've flashed to the latest Phoenix ROM and actually love the default wallpaper. The problem is that I was toying around with ADW Themes and accidentally replaced it. Now I can't seem to find it anywhere in my phone.
It's not in any of the long press / wallpaper folders nor could I find it in app/launcher.apk. It seems silly to reflash the ROM just for the wallpaper plus there's no guarantee that I'll do this again while tinkering.
You can find it in the themes and apps section in the phoenix/ff thread or in the rom zip in the system/framework/drawable-hdpi/default_wallpaper.

Awesome, managed to hunt it down in the framework folder. Is there any particular reason why it's not included in the default wallpaper area? IMO it's the best of the lot.
The default one at first boot is inside the framework-res.apk.
If the dev has included it inside the wallpaper picker then it's inside the Launcher .apk.
wallpaper back to stock
you don't have to download anything if you want revert back to default wallpaper simply put in or apply a live wallpaper then after that press home and go into settings in application and click manage application then click running application then find the live wallpaper app thats running open it and click force stop now you'll be back on your default wallpaper...enjoy

Need some help with ADWLauncher EX on stock LTE Xoom

Hi all xoomers out there. The issue I'm having is this: once I launch the ADWlauncher ex app obviously the home screens change and everything changes including theme. No problem so far. The issue is whenever I hit the home button from whatever screen I'm currently on it defaults back to the stock launcher. So then I have to open the app drawer and launch ADW again to reapply its settings and theme. How do I correct this annoying feature?

Install launcher switcher from the android market (its free) then clear launcher defaults and then finally select adw as your default.
OK I will try that out and see how it goes...

I agree...the other option is to use titanium or bloat freezer to freeze your stock home app.
or find the launcher in setting >apps and clear defaults. Should allow u you to re select adw

Question on new default launcher

I was rooting my friend's KFHD and I was trying to give her a new default launcher screen. I downloaded ADW Launcher but I couldn't get it to become the default launcher. After searching the forum, I saw some suggestions to move the apk to System/app, which I did, but it still wouldn't give me the option to use ADW as the default launcher. So, I looked at my KFHD because I somehow have ADW as my default launcher but can't remember how on Earth I got it to work. I noticed that on my KFHD, ADW is listed under Data/app and is not in my System/app folder. I'm kicking myself for drawing a blank in how I got it as my default screen and any info or suggestions on this default launcher situation would be greatly appreciated. FYI, I have the 8.9 KFHD, my friend has the 7" one.
Have you try with kindlefree app?

Hi,
I was able to use ADW as my default launcher on my KFHD7". After you install ADW, use ES browser to move the ADW package from /data/apps to /system/apps
Restart the device and it will ask you to choose a launcher when you press home icon. You can set the ADW as default. I used it this way for a very long time until I bricked it (i think). See my other question if you are curious

Best launcher/battery life

Hi to all...I have cyanogenmod 10.1 installed, and i noticed that my battery is draining incredibly fast, especially since i installed Go launcher.
I was wondering what launcher is the best in terms of battery usage?
I see everyone is talking about Apex launcher, but i want a launcher that allows me to put apps into folders, but not on the home screen, but in the menu (where i flip through all the apps).

Don't know with nova launcher but with apex launcher (if you want only save space on app drawer) you can delete app from app drawer.
so brutal but...

You can via Nova. You must do that within the Nova Launcher Settings menu, not directly from drawers.
Pros: You can organise your apps into tabs (like common Apps | Widget tabs in many stock launchers). You can also organise folders the same way.
Cons: It can be annoying whenever you install new apps as you need to organise them into the tab you desire. (I went around this problem by assigning the last tab as 'general apps tab' where all apps not categorised are put into, and where new app icons will appear)
