phone is stuck on the boot screen after installing graphics driver

Am screwed up...I have just installed this graphics driver on my HTC TOUCH HD. I dont know what i was thinking and now my phone is stuck on the boot screen.
Please help.

did you try a hard reset
otherwise try to reflash your rom

i have just reflashed and now phone restarts with good screen but then revert back to like vga mode.

What do you mean? does it boot up WM and let u use the phone? and what doe you mean with VGA mode?

this i what i meant
Now the phone freezes repeatedly...and it reset itself but after reseting itself, if i switch it to sleep and then on again the screen returns to normal resolution. but its still freezes and I have to take the battery out eventually.
I have got davideuck v6.1 on it now and its so slow when it works before freezing again.

I initially had david rom v4 when this happened, so i flashed version 6. the screenshot i posted are of version 6 but as am typing this am flashing back to v4.

Okay, if you have flashed V4 back, do a hardreset after flashing. if that does not work either i'm afraid i'm out of options. You could try to install the drivers again to see what happens. Otherwise you should wait for someone who knows something else to try?

its restarting now and all seem to be okay for now... if there is anything again, i ll get back to you guys.
really appreciate all the help.
One more thing if anyone can help, there was a cab file that allow you to use a background for all tabs, dont know if anyone can point me in that direction.

i tryed to flash my htc touch hd, and the same problem occured, when i try to perform an hard reset it says: no image file. an d i can'0t get active sync to synchronize with my pc to reflash it... any help?

is there any way to sync my htc without active sync or reinstall it? thank you

sORRY for the late reply...I put the phone in boot loader mode by pressing the down button and pressing the power button. then you can plug the usb cable then you can run the customrru.exe upgrade file.

ok guys, first off, I'm glad you (saayinla) got your issue sorted. But try and keep this thread on topic, i.e. phone stuck in boot screen etc. If this thread starts turning into a Q&A with all sorts of issues and people asking new questions after original question answered I'll close thread.

Just out of curiosity did you HSPLed you devide with the last version of HSPL? I've seen this screen once and it was because of old HSPL with 1.56/1.57 ROM used!

Do you have a windows or a mac computer?

i have both but i do all of the stuff on my hp running vista i replyed 2 days ago but it didnt show up for some reason glad i checked it

i have tryed everything and i cant get it to sign when i push it with adb it works perfict no problems with nothing

so what you need is an update script to do this, its contained in the meta-inf folder, easiest thing i would do is download 7zip and another theme (anyone of them will do but i would try to use one for the rom the theme is to like a CM6.1 or AospMod) i would either move the meta-inf from that zip into yours or delete the system folder in the downloaded theme and replace it with your themed one then it should be flashable

just open the archives and drag and drop the folders (thats how i do it anyway)

and its that easy just take it from another them and drop it n mine and its set for everyone to flash it

i found on here a while ago a way to sign by right clicking its the most convenient thing ever, also make sure your dont sign .apks in the /system folder they don't need to be at all either.
a forum search should show you how to sign a whole .zip if you still have any issues with signing PM me a link to your build and i can sign it for you

oh its just a single .apk you want to make flashable thats a totally different story, did you move the meta-inf into this if not thats good i thought you were asking for a whole build to be themed.
if you did find the orignal meta-inf that was inside it and put it back in, you have to make a flashable zip a totally different way

Replacing uninstalled bloat APKs

In the event I want to do a system restore, I would, at this point, need to push back the APKs back to their applicable place.
Where exactly would that be?
Would the command just be adb push or adb copy blah.apk /path/to?
I'd like to have this as a thread for those looking for the same info, at least until an SBF is released.

Titanium Backup can't restore applications that don't contain a classes.dex, which is most of the /system/app/ folder. That's why I recommend my bloat removal script instead.

Wonderful... And I uninstalled it after I backed it up.

Pretty much there... still cleaning up some stuff...

I guess I could support /sdcard-ext, but is it really a problem to copy to internal?

First of all Thank you a lot for writing this tool, I hope this can fix my problems. But I am currently having an issue where i get this message ERROR: /sdcard/d3unroot/ backup doesn't exist or is incomplete! I downloaded the folder system/apps folder that it told me to and extracted it into sdcard/d3unroot and mad sure it was on charge only, But I still get this error. any help would be greatly appreciated

Stock 4.1.2, I think currently on it.
From Carphone Warehouse (UK) Not sure if it is unlocked to any network...(O2 if any)
Can someone please give a noob to rooting some advice on the best way to back up the system in case of a major disaster before rooting,
And also some advice on how to root, install 4.2.2 on it.
Total noob with android so a walk through would be appreciated.
I have looked at the forum but am a bit baffled as a lot of the walkthroughs seem to fail for some and work for others....

I'm assuming that increasing the Flash Counter value and reseting it to default is not a bad thing, so here's simple instructions:
Make sure you have proper usb drivers installed for your samsung or ODIN won't find the phone!

Step 1, Download ODIN, CWM and the rooted 4.2.2 ROM + GAPPS you wish to install and copy them into your phone (phone memory or external SD)
Step 2, Shutdown your phone. Boot it into Download mode (press and hold VOLUME DOWN and HOME KEY, switch phone on and let go the two buttons when you see the warning)

Step 3, Use ODIN to flash custom recovery into your phone
Step 4, Reboot into the custom recovery (shutdown the phone completely, when it's off, press and hold VOLUME UP and HOME KEY, then switch the phone on. when recovery logo is on, you can let go off the two buttons)
Step 5, Use CWM to backup the current ROM and install the desired ROM. Remember to do a Factory Reset + DALVIK/CACHE format before rebooting!
Step 6, Install Triangle Away, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22462960&postcount=1 and nuke away the pesky Flash Counter!

If that's the first boot after installing another rom, let it sit around for ~5minutes. If it takes longer than that, something is wrong. You are missing GUI (TouchWiz/Trebuchet) or you have flashed completely wrong rom.

The most simple way is to reflash the stock rom back in the phone.

Need G1 RC29 Firmware.

I Have been searching for the RC29 Firmware to download my htc g1 that i picked up off ebay a week or so ago. all download links i have found around xda lead to long dead file sharing sites.... i really don't want to have a wasted plastic brick of the g1. as i wanted to see what it was like to use the thing, as im a bit of a tech person and such. So if anyone still has the file lying around could you please give/send me a download link?? i have been searching for the past day or so and all remaining links seem to lead to virus filled sites or long dead file sharing ones..... surely this firmware could not have been lost to the test of time. i need to downgrade it so i can forcefully activate it using adb. As i don't have a sim card.

Hey. I have just got a htc dream and thought i would get some of files and try to archive them somewhere they would always stay. For now they are just on my server. Go to godfrey.online and there should be some files there. Good luck

I dunno what to tell you. I don't remember what i did all those years ago. I got into the system, but i have no clue how. I do remember it was a HUGE hassle.

I think you need to sideload updated Google Account Manager with ADB to login, or try to enable 2FA on your Google account, then make an "App Password" and use it for the phone
