i formated my usb storage and my sd card and now my phone doesnt turn on its stuck at the samsung logo screen....recovery and download mode works...i flashed classic rom v6 via odin...the flash goes fine but the phone is stuck at the samsung logo....when i open recovery it says e: failed to mount exfat /dev/block/mmcblkpl /sd card....the big problem is that if it has anything to do with hardware failure i dont have where to fix it because there are not any samsung service centers in my country
I JUST PUT MY EXTERNAL SD CARD IN AN IT DOES NOT GIVE ME THE SD CARD MESSAGE BUT THE PHONE IS STILL STUCK...

What rom were you on when you flashed the current one?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Try flashing a GB rom using odin. Boot into recovery and do a factory reset and check what happens.

Glad you got it sorted, in future never use a pit unless you're facing certain brick scenarios, it can cause more damage than good, you rarely need them.
Happy new year to all btw

Hi,
I need a bit of help on an accident I had.
I have a Galaxy S with the [AOSP][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] SuperNexus 2.0 - I90 rom, but somehow I made a mistake and ended up erasing the internal sd card storage so now my phone doesn't work (it's stuck at the rom boot logo). I tried to install the rom again using an external sd but couldn't do it. Is there anyway for me to get my phone up and running again?
Thanks!

You could try falshing with Odin on 2.3.6 again and then flash back to 4.x
With download modus that should work.
But no promisses
Go to download mod using 3 botton combo and flash 2.3.6 GB with Odin ;and come back to jb surly it will work.

Thanks for the answers, I'll try that.
By the way, I forgot to mention that I'm able to boot to recovery. Does that make any difference?
Sure;flash the ROM again and reboot.

my problem is that since I erased the internal storage and now I can't boot properly I'm not being able to make my phone be recognized by my computer while in recovery so that I can copy the rom to the phone again.
Any idea on how I can manage that?
After my knowledge computer can't recognize phone in recovery mod;tray with Odin in download mod.

Actually I found out, a bit by accident, that in recovery if we go to mounts and storage and mount the usb storage the computer recognizes the phone's internal mem and allows to copy stuff in it. I managed to copy the rom back on the phone again and I'm now installing it again.
Anyways, thank you all for the tips
Happy for you and good lac;story for my bad English!!!

Hello i have a big problem..
There was a problem with a custom rom that i flashed and when i was connecting the phone to the pc it was taking too long to show me my internal memory etc. So i decided to do a clean flash from odin by flashing an original firmware for i9305.. The phone then stuck to the samsung logo! I reflash it but still the same. I even use re-partion and stills it reboots and stays at samsung logo screen i dont know what else to do?
Tried to go into recovery and factory reset / wipe cache?

lucky for me i flashed the recovery and i had atmy internal memory an old rom.. i flash it and the phone is working now thank god.. but i can understand why it did that.. i will not be able to flash an original firmware? and btw is still slow.. i connect it to pcamd takes time to open the internal memory and external..but at least it works
I have this problem when flashing through odin. Battery pull reset data clear cache always does the trick. I usually have to put back into download mode and then restart device from there. Worth trying.

When deleting something with file manager I think

And i wonder what that will do?
Coz when we flash stock firmware it wipes everything so what's the use of creating nandroid backup?

Hey. I dont think externel will get wiped out while flashing with stock. Even if it does you can make one backup of your externel sd card .

He is right! Ext don't get deleted and u can root, unlock, flash cwm and restore your device.... I think you need to get your facts straight (and even if it would get erased, just pull the ext memory out of the phone before flashing stock?!)

I HAVE AN XT890 and have been using it for about two weeks..
I rooted the phone and just installed rooted apps on top of stock firmware.
but then I tried installing a mod ROM and it goes trough, but when is at the "Type password to decrypt storage"
I enter my code and it goes fwd but then it just stops at the green android dude that has gears for top and bottom parts....
I thought it was a problem with my password, but I realized that it still recognizes it, since it does not go to the green android sceen if I enter the incorrect password..
I tried to just wait for it.. But no luck..
tried to flash a stock ROM using RSD lite
I get an error with a command Not recognized
In recovery, I try to wipe data, but it says:
wiping data
Formating /data...
Error mounting /data!
Skipping format...
Formatting /cache...
Formatting /sd-ext...
Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete.
Thanks in advance to all of you guys!!!

Hey guys. Been around for a while and have never encounted this problem. I went to restore back to stock firmware after running a custom rom.. both 4.3... I added the firmware to odin. It failed before it started and rebooted th phone. Figured out that the firmware I downloaded must of been corrupt/incompletly downloaded.. stuck on samsung boot logo.. tried to restore a fresh complete rom but still stuck on boot logo.. is there something I can do to fix it other than sen it in.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
You don't mention recovery .
Usual would be to format sdcard system data cache boot to download mode and flash stock rom .
Yeah i have done all that
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
After install, try pulling the battery during boot then boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset/data wipe.
Has worked for some
