Please URGENT - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hello i have a big problem..
There was a problem with a custom rom that i flashed and when i was connecting the phone to the pc it was taking too long to show me my internal memory etc. So i decided to do a clean flash from odin by flashing an original firmware for i9305.. The phone then stuck to the samsung logo! I reflash it but still the same. I even use re-partion and stills it reboots and stays at samsung logo screen i dont know what else to do?

Tried to go into recovery and factory reset / wipe cache?

lucky for me i flashed the recovery and i had atmy internal memory an old rom.. i flash it and the phone is working now thank god.. but i can understand why it did that.. i will not be able to flash an original firmware? and btw is still slow.. i connect it to pcamd takes time to open the internal memory and external..but at least it works

I have this problem when flashing through odin. Battery pull reset data clear cache always does the trick. I usually have to put back into download mode and then restart device from there. Worth trying.

Did you try to factory reset / wipe cache? That solved some problems for me real well.

What rom were you on when you flashed the current one?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Try flashing a GB rom using odin. Boot into recovery and do a factory reset and check what happens.

i just flashed a gb rom with pit file and it worked...i gues thats what i should have done the first place but i just panicked...

Glad you got it sorted, in future never use a pit unless you're facing certain brick scenarios, it can cause more damage than good, you rarely need them.
Happy new year to all btw

Unfortunatelly, process.media screwed my deal

Hi guys,
so I was trying to sell my SGS i9000 and I failed. Why? Because I kept getting 'Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped'. I tried everything I could find, clearing particular caches, wiping overall cache and dalvik, factory reset, even reflashed the ROM. Nothing has changed.
I believe it has something to do with the thing that I had accidentaly deleted 'media' folder (actually, cut it and pasted on the desktop, so I copied it back right away). Now the gallery doesn't work, the camera just as well and overall system can't boot every time. (If I press and hold the power button, it starts booting and gets stuck at Slim logo, but when I take the battery out after getting stuck, it boots just fine).
Are there any other solutions?
I'm on Slim Bean official build 7. Not sure which Sema kernel they've used, because I can't download or install anything as well.

I always format system before flashing, and yes, flashing stock firmware via odin helped, but I got bricked on the first try which scared the crap out of me.

[Solved] Recoveries not really working on CWM

Hi everyone!
I'm still a newbie arround here, so i will have to tell you all the steps i did until i got the problem.
So i did the following: I have stock rom (4.0.4) and BaseBand, i've rooted the phone using NVFlash method (using All-in-One Toolkit by SpyrosK) and i've replaced the Stock ICS BootLoader also using the AIO Toolkit. The phone was working great and all but after some weeks it started getting slow and i though about doing a factory recovery. So I tried the backup normally. Went to the menu then settings> backup and reset> factory data reset. After the reboot the normal LG logo showed and then the following: "Unfortunatly, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and behind this text box it has: "Encryptation unsuccessful
Encryptation was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible. To resume using your phone, you must perform a factory reset[...]" and it has a reset phone button but i can't acess it because the text window is on top.
After I got this I tough about giving a try to CWM(v6.0.2.5) recovery. So i tried the following: wipe cache partition, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions and tried the reboot but the same problem still persists...
Can anyone help me? This doesn't seem like a brick to me and it was supposed to be a factory reset but isn't correctly working. What can I do to fix this?
Tell me if you have any question or if you need a picture of the screen i get when i boot the phone. Than you very much.
Edit: Already tried to change my recovery image, still have the same problem...Was thinking in installing the stock rom again via CWM. Is it a good ideia? Will it fix?
In CWM there is a factory reset too (something like wipe data/factory reset). That should do the trick (but I'm afraid you'll have to set up from scratch again). Otherwise you'll have to wipe everything (including format /system) and flash the ROM again...

Tried that wipe data/factory reset too. It did'nt work either. Maybe I'll go for the full wipe and try the stock rom again. Thank you for the help
I am sorry to hear. Why don't you try flashing another ROM, just to test? For example pengus' CM10 equivalent http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058231? It is very stable. Remember to update to last Kowalski kernel (by flashing after flash of ROM). May I suggest M1 norh (without ram hack)...
PS You need to be on new bootloader - see instructions in thread. If you have problems with the CM10 camera, you can flash CM10v3 by feav http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163473

Was probably this! When i wrote the reply i tried using the option of replacing the Stock locked to the new one and this did not fixed.
So after i tried the option "Repartition your device with preferred layout and bootloader. Had to get another rom after and got the stock rom again, but i'll give a try to the one oneearleft suggested. Thank you very much. I've learned a lot with this!
Cheerz and keep up the good work!

N7000 - Stuck on Logo

hey guys,
I was running Stock JellyBean but having lags & slowdown issue and hence decided to Re-flash my OS with same official JB ROM.
I had wiped all necessary things like cache etc via Philz and flashed via Odin (Pc).
Everything ran smooth till today suddenly phone got stuck on Logo.
Tried removing the battery for 1hr. and still the same.
I can enter Recovery - Plz assist why this thing have happened and how it can solved ?
PS: Phone ran perfectly till now and its been 15days since reinstalled my OS.
Can you try to do a factory reset and the three wipes using philz kernel? Then reboot but remember all your data will be lost.

Please help with phone not booting

Hey guys. Been around for a while and have never encounted this problem. I went to restore back to stock firmware after running a custom rom.. both 4.3... I added the firmware to odin. It failed before it started and rebooted th phone. Figured out that the firmware I downloaded must of been corrupt/incompletly downloaded.. stuck on samsung boot logo.. tried to restore a fresh complete rom but still stuck on boot logo.. is there something I can do to fix it other than sen it in.

You don't mention recovery .
Usual would be to format sdcard system data cache boot to download mode and flash stock rom .
Yeah i have done all that
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
After install, try pulling the battery during boot then boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset/data wipe.
Has worked for some
