Hi. I´ve used motofail2go from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928509 to root. I haven´t noticed a problem with mi RAZR i sound so, I need to take it to waranty but there´s the problem that the waranty is "avoided" with the root. So I need to unroot my phone. I haven´t unlocked the bootloader, thats why I used motofail2go. Is there any way to unroot?
My firmware is 871.110.13009.XT890.AmericaMovil.en.MX.

Simply reflash any firm with RSD Lite (Use the newer versions, like 6.14)
You can search a firm here

Hi Guys, i'm noob to this and would appreciate if someone could give me some advise.
If my phone is bought in China, called MT788 here, is it possible and safe to root it and flash the firmware with a retail GB?
The original firmware is IRPMTD_6_02.47.00RPS, IFWI version is 05.A8, Baseband version is L1713-MSA_1.10.05.P01.
Does anyone knows if this AIO works? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026031
Thanks in advice
I've rooted my Moto X with RockMyMoto, now I unrooted it because I want to OTA Update it to 4.4 Kit Kat.
I've done that, and was stuck on bootloop. Used "fastboot erase cache" to get it running again.
My question is: What should I do with my "unrooted" phone before going to the OTA Update?
I've done some research but it is always answers to specific problems. I think I should download an image from sbf.droid-developers.org/ and flash it with RSD Lite. But do I need to unlock my bootloader in order to do that? Is there any other way I could achieve the same goal?
I really like this kind of stuff, and would like learning in the process... But I think I'm missing something, and I'm afraid to brick my phone after this bootloop problem. And have decided I should ask first, and act later.
(I've bought my device from another person, that bought it from a store. So I think I should download the retail imagem from the website, but does something happen if I download the "wrong" image?)

If you want to keep root with 4.4, follow the steps in SlapMyMoto. If you do not want root in 4.4, yes you can flash the sbf download with RSD Lite. You do not need an unlocked bootloader to flash with RSD Lite. It is always a way to get back to stock.

I did that, downloaded the image, then I flashed it into my phone. But it stoped in "reboot In process" and it does not continue. (It rebooted, but didn't erase anything, and it is now on my Homescreen normally)
Is this normal? How do I know if the flash worked?
Hi guys !
I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my device, and i don't know if i can upgrade my Nexus 6 by ota (received this morning on the phone) without brick it.
Is it dangerous?
Thank you
EDIT : I'm on stock Lollipop 5.0.1
Unlocked is fine. If you have root or any other system mods, you'll need to remove them.
Oh thanks for the quick answer
So if I unroot it with Nexus Root Toolkit it will be ok?

Nexus toolkit doesn't unroot. It reflashes the entire phone which also means root disappears. If you're going to do that, no point taking the ota. Just flash full update.
You can indoor via the SuperSU app.
Oh ok I just saw that.
So if I unroot via SuperSU it's ok i can install?

As long as you do the full unroot and made no other modifications. Oh and everything must be 100% stock, including recovery
I've installed TWRP...
So, what is the best way for me to install 5.1 without losing my data?

download the factory image that you want to update to.
extract the system.img, boot.img and radio.img
Fastboot flash them.
You could also flash the bootloader if you want though I dont see any point.
Ok, thank you for your quick answers
I want to erase the phone and start over.

Just flash this OC1 Stock Rooted Very Easy Procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59666958&postcount=2 unless you're trying to get back to KitKat. Thanks @Walter.White
I am already on Lollipop. How can I reflash lollipop so I can have a clean phone again with root?
I am assuming I cant go into factory reset because I will lose root and it may even fail.
There is no safestrap for lollipop is there?

Did you do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59666958&postcount=2 to get to lollipop? If yes, then you can access Safestrap. Not sure if you would lose root doing a factory reset or not, so I would just flash the zip file from same post in safestrap.
