Recently I played with radios a bit.
I tought the retail Brazil radio would work perfectly in my zone, but I was wrong.
I lost internet access with it.
The 4.2.1.1 radio kills the signal strength and also the internet connectivity.
Then the Telstra 4.1.4.2 radio. It works well, but the phone heats a lot. Also there's occasions where you loose the signal completely then in a few seconds you have full signal again. And sometimes you loose internet connectivity for a few seconds or until you reboot the phone.
Actually I'm back at the 4.1.8.3 radio.
Josuetenista asked me to upload the retail Brazil radio so he can try it.
To anyone willing to test it on an AT&T Atrix, be advised this will kill your internet connectivity. Phone will show 3G but won't send nor receive data.
I've included the 4.1.8.3 radio so you can return the phone to its original state.
These SBFs are for AT&T phones only.
You can download them HERE.
Hi Whipon, would you like to upload all the Radios for the At&t Atrix? Currently I'm at Capital Federal (Movistar, carrier) and constantly loosing signal and H+ connectivity all the time, so I would like to mess with these radios a little bit.

I see. So I'm not the only one not having HSPA in Argentina.
I only have the Retail Brazil and the Telstra one that dew.man uploaded some time ago.
The 4.2.1.1 radio kills the signal almost completely, so I deleted it. I can rebuild it if you want, but I don't see the point.
Currently the best radio seems to be the 4.1.8.3 one.
I hope this HSPA issue will be solved with Gingerbread.
What other radio do you want?. I can make you one with the Claro Brasil radio.

Thanks Whipon. I will try it and let you know how the radio works here in ecuador. Im still having lot of problems with the 4.1.83 Radio. The best radio so far is the 4.1.57 Radio, but I tried to use that radio with the latest firmware and it doesn't have internet connectivity, that's why im stuck on the 4.1.57 update.

Hello,
I have a question, why are you guys talking about the different radios and post System Versions instead of Baseband versions?
Baseband means Radios and heres an example of different baseband version numbers:
N_01.87.00R
N_01.77.15P
N_01.77.07P
Etc...
Just curious...

I'm on Claro but the problem started 1 week ago, dropped calls, very poor signal and internet connectivity very slow. I think I screwed my SIM Card because I uploaded 11000 songs to Google Music through the Phone's Tether (About 30gb) and the SIM card overheated

I have the same problem with 4.1.83 dropping calls in Personal Argentina. 4.1.57 was the best I think.
Guys, Don't get me wrong but I really think that it would be more helpful if you talk about radio versions by using baseband numbers instead of system version numbers.
Saying that you are on X system version does not necessary imply you are on Y radio version.
For example, I'm on system version 4.1.83 but my radio or baseband is N_01.88.00R which is not standard for my system version.
I'm just saying...
Thanks!

If I for example, say I'm using the 4.1.8.3 radio, that means I'm using the stock radio of that firmware. Its obvious. Build numbers are easier to remember.

Better talk about the baseband version instead of firmware version...
cuz flashing sfb is not necessary to change the baseband version
and this radio is working perfectly on ATT Atrix and its HSUPA enabled...
Tested by lots ppl on xda, I guess there might be sth wrong with your provider instead of the phone...

First, the radio only SBF some posts above doesn't work on an AT&T Atrix. Period.
It uses diferent ram downloaders incompatible with the AT&T one.
If you try to flash it, you'll get an error in both the phone and RSD Lite.
Second, knowing this, I would like to know how these "lots of people" tested the radio not having a working sbf to flash it. I've tested it, making a working SBF myself and all ended with the results I described. I can upload the SBF if anyone is willing to test it.

UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER ONLY!!!
Well i wrote this post because many users are having problem upgrading the HD to Jelly Bean, there are simple steps to having a 100% working JB Phone!!!
1. download the JB firmware from Telstra Full from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/van...A028.0R_LSAVNQJBTELSTRA_P010_A010_CFC.xml.zip or from Firmware thread!
THANKS TO FIRMWARE TEAM!
I like the Telstra one because Orange and SFR have many battery issues.
2. download the modem_signed file of your operator, U can find it on your Firmware file ICS, In this case were gonna use the Telcel Mexico one (is very important to use the correct one, because in each region LTE works in different freq.
Also u have to extract the fsg_signed file too.
Telcel Modem_Signed https://www.box.com/s/dp2aj3v8odeu65yqkr2x
Rogers Modem_Signed https://www.box.com/s/i2qnaauvc0pd3xmn23mg
AGAIN THANKS TO FIRMWARE TEAM!
3. download the .xml edited: https://www.box.com/s/ylydzzjs79ynmj1vbdm3 This file works for everyone, its just an edited file to run the rsd lite without GETVAR error.
4. with the Telstra firm downloaded double click on it and open with WinRar and Replace the .xml, the fsg_signed and modem_signed files.
5. and thats it! u have a fully functional SBF file to start flashing with RSD Lite.
Btw here u can find the latest drivers.... https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481
any issue im here to support u!!!
Thanks for this! I really needed a tut, can't believe telcel hasn't released jb for our devices u.u

Little question ... Telstra don't support LTE ?
I have installed the full Telstra without Rogers modem ... because i am not in lte zone for the moment ... i really prefer the telstra modem version ! More stable in HSPA and better signal/speed for me on The canadian Telus Carrier Than the Original Rogers modem on ics ! just no test in lte ...

YES, Telstra support LTE but LTE have different freqs and sometimes one doesnt work in another country, ex. In Mexico And Canada we have the same freq, but in Brazil and US we cant have LTE working! the modem_signed from Telstra could work in ur country but maybe not, better u replace the file and u gonna have a fully working Firm!

Your half right! before I was getting only HSDPA+. I flashed the Rogers Modem signed AND fsg_signed. Then It all of a sudden started working on 4G (which I now know is actually LTE)
I had to enter MCC and the MNC to have 4G work. I found then on wiki

I'm thinking of flashing TMobile or Sprint systems to solve it, but I'm just confirming that data connectivity will be ok on my Vodafone GSM N/W here in Egypt.
ive got the america movil PR one and no camera update yet either.
I know with the XT925 which was the GSM razr HD you could flash other territory RSDlite images as long as the phone was the same model, so probably you could flash the AT&T image if you really wanted . havent tried it, but people did it with the razr HD so i'm thinking it would work
i read you might have to flash the at&t recovery over first, but you should be able to do that if you unlock. not entirely sure though, someone will have to try i guess.
I have the 139.7.26.ghost.row.AmericaMovil.en.CL (Chile) and I was wondering if i can flash t-mobile firmware, but I'm concerned about the LTE freq band. Here in Chile the LTE runs on the 2600hz band.
Anyone know something about that? if I flash the TMO firmware, can I use the recovery to restore an image with the stock en.CL firmware?

Just install the T-Mobile retail ROM and you would get the OTA. That's what I did...
For all of you that have a Mexican MotoX (1058) from Telcel. I just flashed the kitkat firmware for AT&T (ATT_XT1058_4.4-13.11.1Q2.X-69-3_CFC_1FF.xml.zip), via RDLite (Bootloader has to be unlocked) ....works like a charm. Everything runs VERY smooth and buttery. The only thing that needs confirguring is the APN for Telcel (Which I will provide). So I you're not willing to wait until after X-mas for the 4.4 update...just flash AT&T (Just follow the guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2446515)

No, they are not! They do work though but you may lose access to some bands. You could always flash the tmobile 4.4 and then flash just the modem from the att 4.4.
Hi, Im from Mexico and my note 3 uses a 4glte sim card for Telcel company with my plan, its suposed to work the att version here (1700MHz and 2100MHz) but my smartphone only shows "4g" (+HSPA) even in the areas with lte's support. I even tried many things on the hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* but nothing works even if I choose the lte option.
My note 3 info:
SM-N900A
Android 4.4.2
N900AUCUCN2
Custom rom dynamic kat 6.1
Please help me! Greetings from Mexico!
Don't gona appears "LTE" if your custom ROM use "4G". But no worries 4G/LTE are same thing. You can install this MOD for Xposed anyway and try. Good luck :highfive:
Thanks my friend but I´ve made many tests and I only get +hspa speed, never LTE, I dont what to do

I think you just need to add telcel APN in Settings/Connections/More Networks/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names
Nombre: telcel
APN: internet.itelcel.com
Found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-N-atXwP_w hopefully that works for you and you won't have to reflash!

Thanks my friend, and everybody, I configure the lte APN Settings and the hidden test menú, I think its problem of the company cause sometimes for 10-15 seconds I get lte but thats all.
hey!
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 SM.G920T on Best Buy a couple of months ago and i have it with an argentinian SIM.
i want to update the Software to 6.0 and i saw in Sammobile a 6.0 version. Here comes the problem, my firmare (G920TUEU3COK1) is from "cellular south" carrier and this version ( G920TUVU3EPD1) is from "USA/T-Mobile". I want to know if i install that firmware i can still use my argentinian sim? or i only can use the "cellular south" version?
My english is not perfect sorry
Thank you
Yes. Mine is from cellular south as well. You can flash it with t-mobile mm. and then flash this modem dropbox.com/s/fpkeyps54bzy2l6/modem.bin?dl=0 you should be able to use any carrier
here is the guide reddit.com/r/GalaxyS6/comments/4eazdg/nont_mobile_smg920t_need_some_insight/ follow this and you should be fine. good luck

thanks it works. it took me 2 reboots to get LTE to kick in. also it comes with some T-Mobile bloat but from what I see at a glance only about 6 things.
