Hi friends, i buy my device yesterday and when i put my SDCARD of 4GB, my device does not mount the card... i try formating in fat, fat32, ntfs and nothing happens, but when i put my SDCARD of 2GB, my device mount the card and work perfectly. I have two SDCARD's of 4GB and none work in this device, on my galaxy ace, sdcard work normally.

[Q] SD card not recognising full 16GB

Some info:
LG optimus 2x
MIUI rom
16GB SD card
Fat 32 format
only 392mb used
PC recognises full 16gb (well, 14ish due to formatting) and phone sees 5.50GB. It also says that its only got 40-50mb space remaining which is completely wrong.
I've formatted the SD card through the phone & PC (using the slower format too)
The SD card was used as a recovery SD for my Nook Colour before the current phone and I'm not sure whats wrong.
Any suggestions?
Just to make sure:
Check that you're not looking at the internal sd (since that one is 5.5 GB)
Hmm, how embarrassing. I think I am looking at the internal SD card.
However under the SD card menu, I can unmount/mount the (5.5gb) internal memory and format it (which I've already formatted )
Any thoughts on how to view the external SD card? there doesnt seem to be a menu for it in the MIUI settings
I would look in /mnt/emmc, sound likes the mount points have been switched.

[Q] N7000 + 64GB SDcard = weird behaviour

Hi everybody...
I currently see a weird behavior with my N7000 i'd like to clear up.
I have the N7000 with 16GB internal memory (2 standard partitions) plus one 64gb SD card (SDcard1).
The card (exFat) is mounted correctly and works...
I am running Cyanogen stable release cm-10.1.3-n7000.
The weirdness starts, when the card contains more than 32GB of data:
-Camera shows error: No external storage
-SD card is still accessible.
-Internal partition 2 (SDcard0) is no longer mounted
-External SDcard (SDcard1) is available with full capacity
The problem only occurs, when the external SD card contains more than 32gb AND the device is rebooted. When i put in the freshly formatted card and fill it up over 32gb, internal storage stys mounted and works.
So it seems to me, that the N7000 or Android for that matter can only manage 32gb of the SDcard and the internal memory at a time, at least during mounting SDcard1.
Any hints or solutions are welcome...

In order to help you properly more info is needed. what brand SD card is it, did you do the formatting or by the phone? I ask because I had the same problem with my GS4 using a cheap 64GB card from ebay. I did everything I could including changing many kernels to find one that would read the card properly, no go. In my research I found out that there are some people that are selling cards that are not truly 64GB and conforming to the eXFAT system. I returned the card for a refund and spent a little more and bought a Sandisk 64GB (true eXFAT formatted) and all my problems went away. I am not here saying that you must buy Sandisk, I am suggesting that you try a true high capacity eXFAT card to see if there is a difference. I explained my problem to the vendor and presented my research and he recalled the card without a hic-up.
Try to format it to fat32

SDCard not found in cm-11-20140706-UNOFFICIAL-jactiveltexx.zip

I just flashed Allrams cm-11-20140706-UNOFFICIAL-jactiveltexx.zip without a problem (after a full wipe). System running fine, but unfortunately my SDCard (Samsung 64GB ExFat formatted) isn't recognized.
The card is recognized via Recovery, as well as on my PC.
Any suggestions?

I would have posted this question in the appropriate thread, but not enough posts until now...
I installed Spegelius version cm-11-20140702-UNOFFICIAL-jactiveltexx_NE5.zip. Ext. SDCard is recognized. Everything running smooth so far...
It seems, problem within allrams version.
I have allram build but sd card is working, but earlier when I had Sandisk instead of Samsung card I also did have problems ..
Which size of card? Also in ExFat formatted?
Spegelius build of 20140702 wasn't able to play YouTube videos, so I changed ROM to Carbon (CARBON-KK-UNOFFICIAL-20140704-2345-jactiveltexx.zip).
SD card is recognized, YouTube is working. Only few camera crashes.
It seems, there is only a problem in allrams build with 64GB cards formatted with ExFat.
Hi I use this one https://www.cyberport.de/samsung-pro-64-gb-microsd-speicherkarte-class-10-bis-70mb-s-uhs-i--4H02-03F_1519.html Allram newest build but worked on previous also .. Funny things on this custom builds how different thing work on one phone but not on other (regarding my video 10 min recording limit)
My SDCard is Samsung microSDXC Pro 64GB (Class 10) in my SGS4 Active, formatted with exFAT. Worked with stock rom 4.4.2.
I have flashed several allrams builds. Recognized in Recovery but after a restart or boot up then randomly my card is recognized in CM11 but not all files and folders are found.
When I go to Settings/Storage and unmount and mount back the external card then it finds all files and folders.
If I connect my phone to a PC, I can't transfer files to external card, only to internal storage if external card is unmounted under Settings/Storage.

[Q] CWM or TWRP and 64gb TF card ?

Hello
I am not being able to use TWRP 2.8.1.0 or CWM 6.0.2.5 to be able to mount my 64gb microsd
I read that it was possible to mount 64gb cards with Lg2x but the TWRP and CWM doe not "see" the card
I am trying to use TonyP TBuild 05 since it allows to use the microsd as internal storage
(I know TonyP ROM is not supported anymore, but CM 11 sucks regarding swapping SD mount points, and with 32gb tf card its possible to use)
I already made ext3 partitions in the microsd so I can install apps to the new "internal" storage, and using the rest (Fat32 with 32kb sectors) to my usual stuff (media, mp3s, photos...)
But the recoveries just can not "see" the card, since both TWRP and CWM only see the real device internal storage as sd_card
Any ideas how can I mount my tfcard within the recoveries ? And of course, how can I really use the 64gb with the device ?
Tks

How do i format SD cards within Lineageos 14.1?

Hi guys,
Ive already spend days of google and even brought my old laptop from the storage room to format my newly purchased sandisk 128gb micro sd card. Its not recognized by the modified tablet running 14.1 chalagwifi(?). So stock android has the option to format the sd card, but is there a way i can do that within lineageos? Under storage my sd card is not listed...I have tried to format it from my laptop to exfat but still not recognized... From google results the sd card should be compatible with the tab - so any one has an solution?
Best regards.
HI
The mount point for the SD card is not under "/storage" but "/mnt/media_rw/" witch can cause problem with most of media reader (Like Mk player)
you can see your Sd card with an explorer like "ES explorer" and read a video with google video but not with Mx Player
i expect it can help you. i'm searcing in formums a way to change the mount point of the sd card
Note : i have a 128 go sd card formatted in NTFS and it work well
