The battery on this phone is the WORST ive ever used!!
Ridiculous!!
I know what apps and settings to use to reduce battery life, i'm not a noob,(screen brightness, bluetooth off, data off, short screen time out, locations off,gps off, disabled push notifications from all apps etc etc) but still!!
For example i used dolphin browser:exited>turned wifi off and put phone in airplane mode.. and after 6 hours DOLPHIN COSUMED 70% of my battery and went from 90% to 20% whilst idle doing nothing over 6 hours!!! Uninstalled that and put chrome back on..
So i NEED a good app killer that makes apps stay killed, tried BOOSTER, kills apps but when you refresh they all come back on mostly!!!!
no im not rooted, heard that makes battery worse .. Also im on 4.0.3 version V10F
Not sure my battery seems fairly well.

no problems here. why is a battery worse when something is runnig in the background ?
i use Advanced Task Manager, its configured to kill delayed some apps when the screen goes off.
for blocking autostarts i use the buildin function of LBE Security Manager + Gemini App Manager
Use the autostarts app from playstore

it needs root and the user has not a rooted phone.
I suggest to use the 'maxinum bacground running processes' option.
However It's better to check the downloades apps that may drain battery and delete them.
After doing this,I suggest to use fast reboot pro and activate the option 'kill process when screen off'.
The apps would start all the time... when he likes to close the apps permanently, then he needs root access.otherwise the apps will start again.
Or use better battery stats to analyse the drainer apps and replace with alternate apps. At sample Facebook is an very big battery drainer....

I have to leave the phone with the screen on 50% brightness with facebook with full auto-update over 3g to use about that much battery in 6 hrs
(But then, i did freeze all possible apps from titanium backup and put my cpu on my powersaving plan)
SPOILER ALERT! Lets go really of topic now...
Guess what. I have no wifi internet as my cable modem is broken(new is ordered) i have been browsing and posting here over the 3g connection for 2 hrs now. I am tired. The clock is 23:45 and i have to get up from bed at 6:45 tomorrow to be able to reach school. FML!!!!

If you didn't root you'r phone you can do this Solutions:
1.Go to "settings > apps > all" and disable any programs you can like weather , youtube , google search , etc...
2.go to "settings > developer options > background process limit" and set that to "no background processes" and check show all ANRs
3.install advanced task manager or task killer and set that to auto kill when screen off
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk 2
Rooting and installing titanium backup pro sounds like the best option. If you have used any of the apps you dont like, you can just freeze them. If you dont care. Uninstall them!
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
or you can use rom toolbox lite (if it works on lg o4x,I read that it didn't work some weeks ago) wich is free and has lots of tools inside.
another good solution is changing the OOM values and set higher values : doing this you don't have much backgroung running apps so you get more speed on your phone and you'll save some battery juice but you can't do lots of multitasking operation with this solution...

I also think that battery saver apps are useless,o4x has already got a power saver mode, you can use it..
BUT keep in mind that a power saver app may work for some people and for other don't : it all depends by the use of the phone by the owner like connection, playong games, surfing the net, display settings...
however,I wrote here 'cause I read some comments about antutu battery saver : it needs root and some people said that it works well...did someone already tried it ? onestly I don't think that it will work with my "soft" use of this phone : I get about 30 hours from 100% to 20%..

Hello,
I'm experiencing high ram consumption and I got no idea on how to fix it.
I can't get it lower than 450mb, which is really a problem with multitasking. As short as I start using more than 2 applications on a time my phone becomes non usable and sometimes I even have to pull out the battery to fix it.
At this moment I'm running stock JB with SIRI kernel.
I already freezed some standard applications and went using touchwiz again instead of GoLauncher. This made it a little bit better but didn't solve it.
I hope anyone has an idea!

Go to settings, then developers options scroll down and you'll see background apps standard change it to 2 apps in background your ram usage will drop to around 320MB only for much hardcore settings use only 1 background app.. i can multitask and do everything and background usage remains 270MB to 330MB 'click thanks if i helped you in anyway'!

Reboot, and try to free some RAM. Remove ChatOn and some apps that you do not use, and they are in background. I removed Maps too for example...

I'm using same as you, sandrin0, JB LQ4 + SIRI, and my RAM is on max 330/629 after i clear the RAM.
Did u use Facebook app? That is an application that consumes a lot of RAM, being active backround.
Maybe my topic help you to debloat your FW - What applications can be safely removed with Titanium Backup
After clearing RAM I'm on like 375. but when I'm using my phone I'm not clearing it every 5 minutes. The problem is for example: When I'm on the xda developers app, I receive a WhatsApp message, so I switch to that. Then I receive a new tweet and I switch to Twitter, my phone just starts lagging like ****.
I think this shouldn't be possible with like 650MB RAM on a phone, but that may be my opinion.
I already debloated my firmware, it just doesn't really make sence. I think I just have too high expectations from a phone like this lol. Happy to switch to a Xperia Z of HTC One in May
if you think about it, on gb i had ~300/555 MB RAM in use, so 255 free ram, now on JB i have ~400/629 ram in use wich, surprise surprise leave 229 free ram
I got great results with RTMixManager.
I am using stock kernel with deodexed lq4, still so much ram usage!

Regarding point 3, I don't get it. When "Show all cores" isn't checked, only one graph is displayed.
Great app!! I wouldn't mind a small "stress test" for X seconds option to see the CPU graphs working (good debugging tool to see if the cores are working fine under stress).

Just released an update that fixes your problem (I think so)
Hey guys sharing my trick for no lag in almost all games.......hope it works
Its working i can play jet pack joy ride, subway surfers, temple run etc games with almost no lags(very rare lags)..
So lets start,
1.download android perfomance booster app from market.
2.Then download seeder 2.0 app from xda or try googling it (or wait i will upload that)
3.Use chainfire 3d with qualcom plugin and reduce texture quality..(optional step)
4.open seeder and select the options like in screen shot and the restart your phone and then start seeder again but dont change anything then close that..
5.Then open android performance booster and click boost performance then close this app.
6. Start your game and enjoy!!!
Note 1 :- if the above steps dont work then try this
Download ram expander from playstore and open it and use the settings shown in screen shot screenshot.....
But remember with ram expander you do have to follow the steps written above also...
Note 2 :- i dont use chainfire its an optional step you can use it also for more better performance.
Note 3 :- sorry for my bad english

So I wanna ask you how much ScreenOn Time you get if:
-you use it all the time without Standby until 20/10/0% -> Do you get upto 5/6h or more?
-you use it normally a day
-you let it all the time in standby/deepsleep mode
--------
Is the battery life good?
Thanks for your answers!
Greeeetzzzz..
Hi there,
I'm on Elegancia v6, using RomCleaner and Greenify to hibernate apps.
My batt life is about 2 days on average use - heavy Whatsapp useage -.
Screen brightness set on second lowest level and wifi on/ mobile data off when possible.
Just switched to ElementalX kernel, comming from stock, and increased batt life again.

And how long is your screen on time?

Didn't check for hours but Whatsapp drains the batt the most so it should be long :silly:
I'm on T-Mobile so reception is quiet good here where I am ..... but you can influence the bahaviour also by uninstalling and hibernating apps

Hehe, yeah..believe me...I'm in Elegancia group chat and that one is online 24/7
If counted I'll have about 700 messages per day in WhatsApp, daily a one hour call on my way from work back home.
But it depends on your use. I don't use facebook or twitter for example but I have two mail accounts syncing permanently.
I got 1 day and a few hours with moderate use and power saving mode. Screen is on for approximately 4 hours (70% with brightness at minimum).

On Stock and unrooted for me not possible so far. I tried a few options in settings for increasing battery life. I'll report if I reached 5/6 hours.

I'm running ARHD 12.1 with the original firmware from 1.29.708.x.
Im usually connected to WiFi and operate the screen on auto brightness, often in the dark. As such the cost of LTE and backlight are minimised.
That particular run had an hour and a half of wake locks related to WiFi that I haven't accounted for yet.

Android Revolution HD.

It's pretty stock, based on 2.24.401.x
I really like the black variant of the One. But I've heard that it easily gets scratches which are more noticable than on the silver, is that right? What do you do for protecting your One?
And I wanna know if it is hard to s off, unlock bootloader and root the One, because it could be possible that I want to flash a custom ROM.
Thanks
