R: Battery saver app
I also think that battery saver apps are useless,o4x has already got a power saver mode, you can use it..
BUT keep in mind that a power saver app may work for some people and for other don't : it all depends by the use of the phone by the owner like connection, playong games, surfing the net, display settings...
however,I wrote here 'cause I read some comments about antutu battery saver : it needs root and some people said that it works well...did someone already tried it ? onestly I don't think that it will work with my "soft" use of this phone : I get about 30 hours from 100% to 20%..

"one power guard" <-- with this app my battery life is awesome (up to 1,5 day)

I Use One Power Guard, and i think it should be one of the best app on the market,,,:good:

R: Battery saver app
I tried one power guard just now but it sets cpu min freq equal cpu max freq..
are you really sure that this app saves your battery ?

Many apps display min/max as the same, just adjust to actual min freq and set, it works fine, tested some days without one power guard and some with, significant improvement when used

Go Power Master Ultimate
I' m using Go Power Master with Root and Premium it's the best app for Battery Saving it underclock my CPU when I don't use my phone and when the display is on the cpu goes back to standard. I after one day i have mostly more than 40%!

R: Battery saver app
I use antutu battery saver,it's free and it seems to work...did anyone tried this app before ?

Battery type: SiO+ or Li-ion?

I`ve read somewhere that O4x using a new technology battery called SiO+.
But I just found out that my O4X package is using Li-ion battery as written in its body, both of them (original battery and bonus extra battery)
Battery type is BL-53QH.
My region is asia (south east asia)
Is my battery actually already using enhanced SiO+ or just a regular Li-ion?
What about your battery, does it show SiO+ written or Li-ion?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
I will check mine and get back to u
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
yes i'm too
Li-Ion Battery 3.8 V
but i think SiO+ is the better Li-Ion and still Li-Ion
SiO+ is a technology that lets manufacturers create a higher capacity Li-Ion battery while maintaining the same size...
So, SiO+ just allows improvements to Li-ion batteries. Still Li-Ion but improved..

I think so
So, SiO+ only improve in reduce dimension, not enhancing battery performance?

I can't say for sure about battery performance but yeah, seems only in dimension... It's like stuffing 2150mah inside 1500mah size battery..
It seems to charge faster than a li-ion to me

New oem battery

Guys, I got 2 new Samsung oem batteries and they have crap life cycle like my old oem battery. Does this have to do with the battery, calibration or what I have installed?
I'm using stock rooted 4.0.4 with hydracore kernel. I have a lot of apps installed, but running in the background is almost 0. Anything to do with services running. How can I analyze what's screwing my battery life like that.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Battery calibration doesnt increase your battery life
It just improves the accuracy of the displayed battery percentage
Use "betterbatterystats" app and you can find out the apps causing battery drain
also cpu spy can tell u if u r phone goes to deep sleep mode

There might be some app causing your phone not getting into deep sleep
Install betterbatterystats to find it out
But how can your battery be 96% without getting into deep sleep through out the night
If you keep your phone in charging,i think it will not enter into deep sleep
take a screenshot of the battery section in the phone
settings> battery> "click on the graph..
i huess it was put into charging

Install GSAM Battery Monitor, so you can check your screen time etc.
So 4 hours from 100 % and now 49%

I came from the note 2 and thought it would be a nightmare but im actually very impressed
Guys i just factory reset then nothing change get me
*Points at apps syncing the internet, constant HSPA connection, 2hours screen time, 4+ hours phone calls*
You definitely have a rogue app killing your battery. My mytouch has better screen on time then that. It also goes against what everyone else with the device have been experiencing.

Its the wakelocks. 22% is a lot.

[Q] Is my battery broken

Hello,
I have recently bought galaxy note, which was already 1.5 year old.
I've heard that the users had to change the battery after 1 year of using.
So here's my problem.
The phone needs 2h to charge the battery from about 5% to 100% and I can use it only for 3h when the screen is on whole time.
Watching a movie uses about 35%.
My dad has note 2. He can use it whole day long and his batt isn't empty by the evening. Ok it has 3100mah instead of 2500, but the difference shouldn't be so big?
Here are some screenshots:

You think my battery is dead?
Are there some special behaviours that indicate the battery is old already?
Cause I remember there were some on my old X10.
Also could You post some of Your battery stats if possible?
You can look for background apps. But if the battery is old it will be like that.

So would You recommend replacing it?

Nope, new battery hasn't improved the battery life
What battery did you buy and what rom/kernel are you on?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I was on cm10.2. The battery lasted 3h when screen was on.
I bought for 100% original battery and went back to ics. I also removed as many as possible autostart apps. Now the battery lasts about an hour longer.
Whenever I turn on the WiFi the battery drain increases rapidly.
