Maybe a bad flash , but I have problems with su ...Titanium backup generates su related errors even after installing busybox via problems tab .. Rootexplorer has no real root access
Downloaded again and again su problem in Titanium and can't update apps that are allready on the rom , keep getting signature failure when I update titanium, gmail and amps from market

Open superuser and follow the update instructions... that should fix it to work just fine....

Everything works like a charm, not softkey bug and cams works fine to me (a bit dark pics maybe, nothing big). I will run facebook for awhile to check whiteout but so far so good ) Excellent work, Gundul! Cheers!

which kernel is used in this rom. it shows unknown in the about kernel version.. confused.
rom looks pretty with black ics theme
i hope some more ics roms coming from you.

I using ck-kernel, but I am also confused why the show unknow. I got the update Adreno drivers, to increase the performance so as not too heavy. But now I can not upload. My Internet is very slow these days

I found it smooth at the beging from installation (clean), then "system not respondig" flags. Installes Aben kernel and it seems ok. Gallery shuts down on running video.
Pretty darn good anyhow!

the wrong orientation of front cam is not a rom problem. it is a problem with kernel ics. all our ics rooms has same problem.
regarding music quality. the default sound is not bad if u want music quality improvement you can use awesome beats.

Hm.. still get random hangs and frezzes...

weird problem in both JB 4.1.2
Unable to send any files via solid explorer and cm file manager when Bluetooth is off(Bluetooth FC)
work around for this problem which I found out with trial and error method.in stead of directly sending switch on Bluetooth in settings before you choose to send the file.
other things are working fine apart from the mentioned bugs.
suggestion for next update(if possible)
there are 3 apps related to Google search in the system (Google quick search box,Google search,Voice search) out if which one can be retained.
Android market 2 apps are available in (vending and Google Play store)vending can be removed.
4.2.1 Clock,Keyboard which is better than the present can be used instead of 4.1.2 (camera is already updated)
Not checked the GPS performance I hope it works as usual.
APN works automatically no need to input access point manually.
overall the ROM is cool and too good.

What are the differences between this ROM and Aben's? Can someone who has checked out both comment?

this ROM is based on aben CM10Rom
some minor difference seen are
APN is automatic
gapps are preinstalled
4.2 camera by default
Holo launcher HD is used instead Trebuchet
torch power widget can be put in status bar(in aben ROM this was not the case) but light not ON
tough OP suggests for CK kernel I'm on Aben's kernel still the performance is great.
in JB thread vivekb mentioned about WiFi tethering working. I tried not working.

So far this ROM looks more smooth but still testing ..

I mean to say the base is aben CM10 rom you can check the signature of most apps in settings.
except for system ui and settings apps which signature says synergye...
any how right now im using this rom without any issue. Great work by Dr.Rush

I had same issue with both cm10 even viber calls are mute but now music player are working sometime if it doesn't work use vol up and down buttons but still I like this ROM cm 10

yes there is aproblem with audio output it happened to me initially im using tray volume control to increase volume while playing audio songs.
even i had worst experience, was late for office for 2 days because alarm didnt work when i set in new cm10. 3rd day i came to know that alarm was vibrating with no audio output.

ShenDu v4.1.2 - 13.03.22

to flash to the rom proceed as usual wipe data, cache and dalvik, flash the rom and then flash this file

the good thing with this rom is that the video recording (720p) is working without any problems, the rom is smooth and fast
the led notifications are also working
if you liked the ics camera app you can use it with this rom just go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091599 , download the cm10 version and flash it in the recovery
there are some app in chinese that you can delete with root browser lite or any other alternative if you dont need them...
the calendar app is still in chinese you can take another app from another rom and install if you want
i really liked the previous version of this rom so today i flashed the new version and til now i didnt found any problem ...
PS: i advise you to flash the ics cam app i think its more stable than the cm one and if the cm camera app freezes when you try to record a video, open the gallery delete the latest video reboot your phone and open the ics cam app to record videos this worked for me
PPS: time for some tweaks
add these line in build.prop:
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=90
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=8000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000
and extract the init.d tweaks.zip copy to system/etc/init.d folder then reboot your phone

the rom stable i never had random reboots or something like that, the first time i flashed the rom it was a little bit laggy but then i just rebooted the phone and voila no lags anymore
for battery life it depends how you use your phone surfing/playing games/music ...
the camera and video recording is working without any problems
there are certainly some bugs in this rom .... nothing is perfect ... but im happy with this rom

could you name some of the bugs? how long would it last if you are not using the phone? I'm using MIUI v5 and the battery doesnt last for a day even without using it. I've tried Ultrasound v30b, very good battery life, camera, video & sounds my only complaints is its a little bit laggy. It would be nice if you could provide a video preview for this ROM :laugh:

hi elderap, so the first time i flashed the rom the language was english but some apps names were in chinese but when i flashed the latinme.zip i had no chinese names anymore
i will upload the file on another filehoster later

im also an ultrasound fan, the battery life was indeed good in that rom, if want to stay with that rom try another launcher perhaps this would help against the lag a little bit
the battery life is also good in ShenDu i need more time to test it but im as i said before im satisfied with the rom
i dont have time now for a video perhaps someone else could make a video

Hi, is the GPS working in this rom? Have someone test this issue (@glückspilz, especially for germany, you can pm me in german)? In all cm10 roms or cm10 based roms i tested so far, the GPS is quite bad - bad fix, signal lost and s.o.

Video recording does not work for me. By clicking the screen freezes and stop only for restarting the gallery back up and running.

i had the same problem: i deleted the video (which is not working /can't be opened) in the gallery, rebooted the phone, opened the ics cam app and then i could record a video normally... give it a try and tell me if this helped you

[MOD] Small Apps from Xperia(Small browser can be used as Pop up browser within apps)

Hey guys , i searched this forum and saw no sign of any small apps here , so thanks to @sandy7 's help i have ported Small Apps for Captivate running CM 10.1 4.2.2 latest nightly and Captivating rom (xperia-themed) it includes Small apps from Xperia phones for Camera , Clipboard , Browser (Small Browser can be used like POP UP browser with apps like twitter etc! ):good::good: , Calculator for now. You need to download Slauncher for everything to work , for those of you who cant , there is a another launcher called small app launcher which will automatically be installed , you can use that but inside that launcher there will two small apps for each , so use the second one for ex . there will be two 'camera for small app' use the second one in the bottom part of the list , the same for others Hope you guys like it
Works on roms :cm-10.1-20130524-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd and Latest Captivating (xperia themed) rom RC2. (camera only not working for now)
Choose the correct file for each..
Download:
For Cm10.1 nightly only
