Today I get a software update notification on my i9070P. But when I started update, nothing happened. Can it be a sign of JB?

Oh yea. I see that new firmware is added to sammobile.com. Is available to see changelog? But it is strange, that they release an update in December and JB is coming in January.

Maybe they think somebody will use GB after JB update. My firiend still use GB on SII... He say that he likes it more.
Lol... a few days back I simply tapped on software update and I got a notification that an update is available... it was around 17 mb (so obviously it wasn't JB...) anyways I agreed to download and install the update and it almost soft bricked my phone.. i realised this happened because my phone was rooted and I was using a custom kernel.....
Long story short, if anyone else tried this update could you please tell me what that particular update was about??

Someone got problems with new update. Scrolling is wierd somehow. Look our forum for that. I will wait for JB, untill then I use JetMOD.
This new update screwed up my Google play store..... It shows cannot load screenshots and the pics won't open...... Can't even update an app
People say I'm crazy, but the voices in my head say I'm just fine.
Good thing I didn't update....

The update it's ok. Maybe some lag but nothing to disturb you. Probably Samsung are preparing the phone for Jelly Bean.

Its not working for me, stuck at "Booting nyantic software..."
Im in stock rom, just rooted and twrp recovery, tried with coCore kernel 4, same result.
I had the same problem with Galaxy SL (i9003) but when I updated to a custom 4.1 rom it worked fine.
So I am wondering if anyone could figure out how to make it work with this device.
I have a stock non rooted rom,
I installed the app it ask for allow permission to google account, i clicked allow, for me it is asking a activation code. Someone knows what is it.

Permission is asked after that where you stuck. And after that it ask for activation code.
I tried that link but no use

use it > MFYGBX86, I know it have to ask by default for permission but it doesnt. So its still stuck at that booting screen. I tested it in a tablet with 4.1 firmware and worked -.- but I need it to work on my phone >.<

To all having this issue, I can finally say I have found a solution FIX, someone posted a modified version for MDPI devices (I know it is not a mdpi) that worked like a charm, I just installed the .apk and worked flawlesly, then installed normal 1.12.5 .apk over it and still working. It seems like its an issue with the app that must be fixed.

Hi there!
Well this is a pretty simple thing: I have a SE Arc S and Im thinking on getting a LG 4x! Since you guys have been using it do you recommend it? Also I know that it comes or is upgradeable to ICS, but is it going to get JB?
Is the root process easy? Bootloader unlock? Etc.
I appreciate all feedback!
Thanks

im from galaxy ace , so the rooting method is quite hard at first but then its easy, just read the instruction then you ready to go , about the bootloader some of the people here getting message from lg that the bootloader will be unlocked on the next version jellybean, and hopefully it will come true

which is the best stock firmware?
I'd say the Indian, German and the Poland firmwares are so far the best ones....
Then comes the Russian (LQ4) and Serbian (LQB) firmwares... (Hope I got the code numbers correct )

Stock with custom kernel or wait until cm10 gets finished. Thats personal, but there is much placebo going around.
The only problem i had with stock rom was the camera app freezin.
Indian firmware I hear is good, but I heard that sends a message to install or something. I heard German firmware has no options on the lockscreen and Poland .. I do not know what to say.

Indian firmware is good, it sends only one message, to register the device.. otherwise you can use LQ4 or LQB...am still on lq4 with custom kernel.. hasn't given me any problems yet.. working beautifully..

While looking at this website: http://www.android.com/kitkat/index.html I found this:
Could this mean Google is tackling their fragmentation? If so, would 4.4 come out on legacy devices? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions about this. Off topic posts welcome too
Android 4.4 is coming, but we stuck in 2.3.6(2.3.7);((

First of all, if Samsung wanted to build something for us, they'd already have done. We have been through 2.3.7, 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1.0, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.3 and Samsung didn't do anything for us. What makes you think that they would develop 4.4 for us, as long as it must require a lot of hardware specs. And even if samsung wanted to build something for us, they wouldn't do it because of Broadcom. But, if we receive Broadcom drivers, then it's a whole different story.
