Buzzing during a phone call (to one contact) - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hi
Sorry if this is a really dumb question.
I get a buzzing noise while on the phone to one contact.
Is this a problem on my end or theirs? I'm assuming it's theirs as I don't seem to have a problem with any other phone calls.
It's such a bad loud noise that I seriously can't hear anything the contact says but they can hear me perfectly fine.
Is there anyway of boosting phone call signals or something to try and fix this on my end?
Thanks

If its unique to one contact then I would suggest that its the other end thats duff....

Sound problem in diamond

i got the diamond...i love the phone.
But i have one problem which iritates me lot...
Sound...When i call i cant here voice of the other person...
So i have to use speaker all the time.
Does ROM update will clear this problem?
pretty weird problem you got there... so the volume is maxed out in both system and in-call? be careful, the system/ring/in-call volumes are three different things...
And now, my BIG PROBLEM:
I am sure all of you know what a "beep" means... that is, when you make a phonecall, you hear those "beeps", indicating that at the other end, the phone is ringing... the problem is I CANNOT HEAR anything... i do not actually know when the call is connected because i cannot hear anything... the volume is so low that i can barely hear something if there is no noise at all around me... but the actuall voice volume is ok, when actually talking with somebody... only the "beeps" have the issue...
how cand i fix this? It is really annoying.. :|
ANYONE... there are hundreds users navigating but not one able to answer this? what a community...
bump bump bump
Ops, maybe the speaker is broken..
the speaker is fine... everything can be heard just fine... all but the "beeps" you should hear loud an clear when u make a phone call... i thought i wrote this pretty clear in the post above :|
same problem here, please guys
There is one more thread about this problem

No solution. I sent my phone for repair.

problem with my Touch Diamond P3700's earpiece

for some reason yesterday when i tried to make a call, the other party's voice was extremely silent. I could barely hear what the person is saying. i tried calling again and that time i could hear the voice but it cut out a few minutes later. I am thinking the problem is obviously the earpiece or is there anything else that could have caused this? I just want to know if the earpiece on the diamond is easy to change? thanks
Buy a bluetooth earpiece will solve all the problem? They are abundant. Even is small size and so cheap (less than $10).

[Help] Mic doesn't work in calls

i can use voice recording or voice to text just fine. i can also make phone calls in speaker phone mode just fine. but when i turn speaker phone off the person on the other end can BARELLLLLY hear me
ugh so i've been trying to test it
i left myself some voicemails using the phone
if i talk normal i hear nothing with an occasional click or something. if i take my finger and rub it on the noise canceling mic while talking i can sort of hear myself talking but its really low and garbled sounding, and of course if i switch to speakeprhone then i hear myself fine
this sucks, its obviously some kind of software issue. does the phone not use the secondary mic for noise canceling during speakerphone? that would explain the issue i guess.

The mic on my first N1 was broken so it might be a hardware issue.
its either software or the secondary mic is broke and is causing it to filter out everything, because the main mic works great on speakerphone
this sucks

[Q] HD7 - Incoming calls garbled

I've had an HD7 since UK launch on O2. I've had several incoming call that have been garbled. When the phone rings, I pick it up and cannot hear what the other person is saying because it's muffled.
Hanging up and rebooting the phone fixed the problem. Has anyone else experienced it or should I be reporting this to O2. I' not sure if it's the phone or a software problem.
Thanks
i've had no problems at all
mine is unlocked and i use it with the Vodafone sure signal box
Will be good to know if other people are having this problem, done a quick search here and not found anything so suspect it could be my phone
Same problem
I have been having the same problem
Picked from O2 and then unlocked.
Got a call and then middle of the call the other side couldnt hear me at all or could hear my like a robot.
Is this a firmware issue or a hardware?
I am not sure about the firmware but calling was okay on my side. The only problem I have is that the other side is speaking very softly even when I already switch the volume to the max (10). The person talking on the other end also complained about noisy background noise on my side. Anyone experiencing this?

Not for me. when I answer the call all I can hear is muffled talking. It's very garbled speach and no words can be understood. Also the volume is low regardless.
Next time it happens I will ask the caller what they could hear their end.
Looks like i'm the only one with call problems.
Apparently you are... I guess its best you send your set back for a new one...
No issues here, but i'm on a US T-Mobile HD7, so I don't know if that matters.
Exchanged my HD7 for a new one yesterday and had exactly the same problem.
On my previous HD7 I noticed that I was also losing audio every now and again in other areas of the phone, I reboot would be needed to get sound back.

[Q] Microphone problem during a call

Hello, I have a brand new z1 and this is the first time that I have an android phone. Just wanna try something else then iPhone.
Just noticed a problem during calls. When i,m calling like the regular way, the other side can,t nearly hear something and sometimes they don,t hear anything on the other side. But when i am make a call over the speaker, the other side can hear me loud and clear.
Is this a setting/ software issue or could it be a hardware problem?
I hope someone have a answer for me
ps. Sorry for the bad English
Try to disable "noise cancelation" in sound settings and other sound enchatments....
Sometimes other phones, or network cant decode properly.
