Ive looking around multiple threads and forums and I cant seem to find how to add the CM9 Theme Manager to Stock ICS 4.0.4?
Does anyone know how to add just the CM9 Theme Manager to Stock ICS? I never liked CM9 or CM10 so I decided to build myself a custom ROM that fits my needs. Im already running it, but I wanted to maybe add a theme to it but stay on Stock ICS.
If anyone has a solution please let me know
Why still ICS?

It's just not the app, you'll need to make framework and app changes to make them theme-able by CM theme manager. Not just "building" by throwing stuff in a zip but rather compiling and picking what you want from CM sources.
I dont know why, but I love ICS. and oh alright thanks! So how would I go about recompiling the source to make Stock ICS use the CM9 Theme Manager:?
Never seen a rom aosp "stock" , with theme mgr or chooser in it. Try a cm based rom or aokp. Codename android was great.

Hello all,
I currently have N1 rooted, but curretly still using FRF91 STOCK ROM.
I am a little bit confused on how to modify my N1.
Actually I am planning to flash it with CyanogenMod when the Full Version is out and then instal Metamorphs.
But when I saw the metamoprphs, all are modification bit by bit, it's kinda tiring to find the cool combination of the theme.
any suggestion for the best ROM and the UI modification?
thx before
Do you want sense? It not I'd just go with cm6.
so CM 6 is the answer eh?
is the RC1 stable enough?

There are some quirks here a there but they are isolated problems I think. Its been stable for me so far without any problems.
Now I'm on CM 6 RC1
what next?
I would like to use themes or modify UI. SHould I use metamorph?

there are plenty of different themes, some require flashing from the recovery while others are easier and you can just do it through metamorph. go to the themes and app section and browse around for a theme you like
I've just installed LauncherPro. It brought a new touch to my phone
I'm going to try themes next
great, I've flashed a theme and I got a boot loop!
Can anyone answer the question?? No Cyangogenmod, Villain and all the other cool custom Roms.. What is the Reason/Problem..?

Actually there are a couple of them in the Dev area based on the beta versions of Froyo.
For the most part I think everyone is waiting for the final Froyo to be released before investing the time in a beta rom.
my 2 cents
But this all not really Roms.. They are themed an they removing/install Apps on the Stock Rom..?! :/

what do you consider a Custom ROM?
there are many skinned Custom ROMs if you check inside the Development area
They are working on Cyanogenmod (starting with Vibrant first though)
I mean with a Custom Rom a full themed flashabel Rom.. Like Cyangogenmod, Villain..!
Like at the HTC Phones..
But thanks for the Information with the Cyngogenmod
And another Question..
How to Install another Bootanimation?
Thanks for the Answers ;D
No working BootAnimation for i9000 till now.
Why there are no Bootanimations? Anyone know?
the OS has been hacked by samsung, and the files works slightly differently
and no one has bothered to figure out how to make it work on the SGS yet, that's why
it's in the low priority list
Im new to this whole rooting thing and im wondering what do i do now? How do i get the themes on my phone? Ive only used tethering so far so can someone tell me where to go and how do i go about getting the themes on my evo?
You need to flash a custom rom that supports theming - some themes are flashable zips while some roms support direct theming as part of the rom. CM7 has the Theme Chooser which uses apks that were made specifically for the Theme Chooser. MIUI has the Theme Manager which uses mtz files. I'm not sure if there are any Sense roms that include something similar. You cannot theme the stock rom as it is odexed. If you want to stay on stock then you can flash the rooted stock deodexed rom. There are a ton of great roms in the Evo Development forums, so head over there. If you have any further questions, post them in the Evo Q&A forum. Do your research first and only ask a question once you've read the stickies and any noob guides.
You need to start with a custom rom first, then you can figure out how to theme it.

I created a transparent Gingerbread launcher2 for my own use on Pete's GPA Rom and thought others might like it as well. I was inspired by the CM7DarkLauncher by MyPaT and while it worked on Pete's Rom, it lacked the tweaks and quickness of the modified app drawer by Pete. Make a backup before flashing in case a problem arises and let me know if anyone has any problems as this has only been tested with the latest nightly of Pete's Rom 9/29 so it may or may not work with other roms, just flash through recovery and enjoy. I've also included a file which reverts the launcher to the one included in the nightly 9/29 (which I haven't tested but should work).
Again, I want to thank MyPaT for the idea as well as for the update script which I stole (I believe the script removes ADW if you have it so just a heads up, I didn't know how to make my own), and of course Pete for the amazing rom.
Flashing now bbl
Edit thanks
Edit2 worked on rooted stock 237

I come from a distant world known as the HTC Vision/Desire Z threads, I've been looking for a stock launcher that is modded exactly like this, my question is, will it work on another device?
Dear all users, I'm new to this device but not new for android. I'm seeking your advice what step should be taking on my phone in order to have an ICS look & fell, even not a rom but something semilar. Do you think shall I need to flash any custom roms? If so what is the popular one in the galaxy note development forum? My phone detail should read as follow attachments.

If you consider that ICS is announced to be released in March I would suggest to wait until the official ICS ROM is released. If you are eager to try ICS there are several CustomROMs based on leaked ICS Firmware - see Android Dev Section
On the other hand there is the possibility to use themes that give you more or less an impression how ICS would look like - for example ICE CREAM SANDWICH DOMINATION. For more details on themes check the Themes & Apps section.
Hope you find something you like...
Hope your loving the note
Hi there,
I think that alot is down to personal preferences. Personally I am not a fan of ICS themes on Gingerbread.
The best ROM for 100% ICS experience IMO is imilka's ASOP. Pure ICS. I love it but it's too buggy.

I think it worth a play to see what ICS is like.
I have retraced back to this setup, Stable ICS ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1509703
It's Touch Wiz themed but you can just install the Nova Launcher from market to give you a ICS home screen which is a enhanced version of the ICS stock launcher. Most importantly it's bug free.
Also check out this Battery Saver profile using the tasker app.

A nice little gem you will appreciate once you realise u can't put the damm thing down
i think you can achieve a faux ICS look by downloading some alternate launchers in the market (like go launcher pro), and download the appropriate ICS theme.
i mean, you don't have to necessarily "flash" a custom rom to achieve the same look.
IMO.
now if you want ICS feel, the best option is flashing a custom rom. There are plenty of custom roms here, so feel free to try (just follow the instructions carefully).
Personally i recommend criskelo rom, but i'm currently on midnote v2.0, using ICS rom.
Thank all u guys here for ur good advices.
