I`ve just updated to PA 2.99 BETA-9.9, but this issue came from b8

I made complete wiping and factory reset when I was moving from 2.54 to 2.99 beta8...
I`ve used everything: pa_gapps 08.01.13, previous, original JB gapps, Gmail installiation from Play Market, adb moving to /system/apps
Also I tried data and cache cleaning of Gmail app - I don`t know what to do.
Any ideas?
Have you tried setting the density for Gmal through Paranoid Settings? Probably that's why the app is being displayed in such inadequate way
Yes, of course I tried.
The more I growed dpi (from 160 in TabletUI) - the more gaps have increased!
How about the GAPPS package mrntioned in the PA thread and the fic provided in the OP?
PA GAPPS reflashed as I said - nothing.

*Fix
Sorry, typo
There is a linked fix which is used for something, and I assume that its purpose is exactly situations like this when apps are not running correctly
Or just use another UI type for Gmail
If I,m not mistaken, PA 2.99's engine allows to not only set the density per each app, but also utilize different UI types for them, which means that you can use TabletUI in the launcher and use Gmail in Phone/Phablet UIs
Hope this helps
Thanks a lot! I haven't noticed UI settings in previous versions, so I didn't mind to set them in 2.99!

This seems to have started after I soft bricked my phone trying to do a complete wipe. I used the one click unbrick to fix the issue.
Now in 3 different rooms I am having issues with setting not doing anything. The 1st one I noticed was USB debug, it shows it being turned on but adb says device not found. In Slim ICS the notification that it was on popped up.
At this point I tried clearing cache and davik, I also did a format of system, data, cache, and datadata but still have the issue. In fact now I am having it with other settings such as screen rotate.
The only roms I have tried are ics, should I try gb? Any other suggestions? In case it helps I have tried Slim ICS 4, Doc v5 and v6, and dark knight 4.
Thanks for any help

you should have read about ICS.. the captivate ICS roms use different drivers. that is why your computer dosesnt see it.

done.
I that that may have been the issue, but that doesn't explain the screen estate button. Also now after my cache clear and flash this morning the lock screen settings aren't working and my home button stopped working.
Thanks

home button not working?? what rom are you on? i9000 based roms have a homebutton fix, but that wouldnt be affected by cache/delvik.
when in doubt flash something else.
Is there somewhere I can download the ICS drivers? Windows isn't automatically finding the new drivers.
Nevermind did a quick google and found my problem.
Thanks for your help
Super Nexus 3.0 Build 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean aosp
Originally developed by XDA developer Faryaab. Fixed and modded by aharnick2013.
Simply do 3 wipes in recovery data, cache and dalvik then install rom then gapps then supersu.zip. these are found in the download link below which is in a form of a dropbox folder. Has all you need.
No bugs yet. Minor wifi issues. Gallery only supports PNG images so I would advise that you rename your jpgs to pngs.
Rom has all of faryaabs supernexus features but I added Sunbeam LWP, Chrome and flash player.

Fix whatever... If you did not create it it does not belong in here. What did you fix exactly and how?
Here's the famous MiFavor Launcher from ZTE! This is version 1.8.2! I have tried this on several different devices and it worked without a problem!
Features:
-Sorting apps by time installed, top hit and alphabetical.
-Change the order of the apps by your choise
-Hide apps from app drawer (most launchers have this feature locked and payment is required to unlock)
-Multiple screen switching animations
-Organize and remove pages from homescreen
-Change homescreen and lockscreen wallpaper separately
-Change phone and notification ringtone separately
Installation:
1. If your handset is rooted it is recomended to copy "Launcher2.apk" to root/system/app
because some functions may not work if it's not installed as system app
2. If your handset isn't rooted install as normal .apk but you may face problems because it's not a system apk

But it should be fixed now!

There is setting in NovaThor app as I remember. If you are on CM based ROM.
I think that you will not find app in Play store for that, because of differend method of implementation of s2w.
If you are on stock:
Find out how Cocafe made those widgets (probably with terminal emulator):

}
And make one for on and one for off.
Enable/Disable:
Quote:
echo on > /sys/kernel/mxt224e/sweep2wake
echo off > /sys/kernel/mxt224e/sweep2wake
thnks for reply. in nova thor setting has s2w on off but what I mean is toggle quickly like a widget. without entering novavthor setting

And as I told, s2w is custom made as I know. With out kernel. I think it is the same as on CoCore, so you can use those widgets (and commands) like on that screenshoot on CM based ROMs too.
I did. I got this access denide error message

Ofcourse, you forgot to use ROOT mode. SU it before using command.
New here, rooted, switched from stock to CM. I just wanted to try out AOSP to see which one I like more. Is it just flashfire the AOSP ROM?

Yup. Just add a wipe action (system/dalvik/cache; data optional) *before* the flash action.
Does anyone know if the AOSP will work on 5.3.1.? Up above it says it is only for 5.0.1.

At present all custom ROMs for this device are compatible with all versions of FireOS v5 (specifically stock bootloader/kernel) released to date (5.0.0-5.3.2).
Some versions of FireOS are not currently rootable hence the rollback/upgrade dance. But that has nothing to do with ROM compatibility.
Great. One more question, is there a way to make a system backup? I don't have any files on it but reinstalling apps took a while..

Existing apps/data will remain if you do not wipe user/data partition. Really only need to wipe system and dalvik partitions when switching between custom ROMs leveraging the same base level of Android.. all ROMs for this device.
And me being the idiot I am, I forgot my pattern. Unless I guess it, I'll have to factory reset and root it again...

Please tell me which (CM12 vs AOSP) one is best for you.
Thank you
