Call End Sound - Motorola Droid Bionic

This is not a new subject, but I can't seem to find an answer for it. When using bluetooth for telephone calls, the phone makes a very loud sound when the calls ends. I am rooted, so I though if I could find the sound file it uses, I could edit the file to make it softer. Trouble is, I can't find the right file. Does anyone know the name of the file and where it is located?

Is the sound the same regardless if it is connected to a BT enabled car stereo, a BT headset, or a BT enabled computer?

Yes, in fact, it seems to be the same end of call sound you hear when it is not connected to bluetooth.

Could it be the one located in system/media/audio/alert?

I listened to that file but it seemed different because of a different tone at the very end. I decided to try anyway and I used Audacity to lower the volume of the file and then tried it. Still almost blows my eardrums out, so that's not the right one.

I was afraid of that - I'm now thinking it is a 'generated' tone that only applies to Bluetooth connections.
Let me look around a bit more.

Yea, that would seem to make sense. I looked through all of the folders under audio and couldn't find one that sounded right. Thought if might be in the UI folder, but no luck.
Thanks for your help.

BT Mic?

Hey all, I know for certain that my headset (altec lansing backbeat 903s) support mic input. I've tested it on my phone... so why not on the nook color? Last time I tried (on cm7 7.1 stable) it froze/rebooted my nc...
And I think I read something about there not being a bluetooth profile on the nc... anyone get bt working? instructions?
There are no audio input drivers for the Nook.

Could you elaborate? Does that mean no audio input is possible at all, or is it a simple matter of getting a driver running to allow input?

It is not possible right now and will most likely never be. There would have to be drivers created to support it and there doesn't seem to be much interest in getting it done.

How do you find 4.2.2

Hi guys,
I've been reading up on some nexus 7 stuff but I'm pretty new to it and was running 4.1.2 until recently, I see 4.2.2 was released but couldn't see any concrete feedback on how it compares to say custom roms like smoothrom based on 4.2.1. Do you guys find it better than say smooth rom in UI performance and battery? I'm not sure if I should change to 4.2.2 or stick with 4.2.1 custom roms with performance/smoothness tweaks for now.
Thanks
Smoother here.
I found my N7 sped up with 4.2.1 anyway when I cleared up some space. Havn't loaded it down since, so that may be the reason.
The main reason I want back to 4.1, was the broken Bluetooth Audio, but that also seems to be much improved in 4.2.
Will give rooted 4.2.2 stock a shot then, thanks
I've been on 4.2.2 for a few hours and I must say the wireless appears to be erratic! I'm sitting between 2 APs with same SSID so I don't know if the roaming settings are too aggresive...but seems worse than 4.2 was
I'm hoping Bluetooth is better than it was as my creative headset would constantly go out of sync on 4.2!

I'm running the latest Paranoid Android 4.2.2 nightly and it's running perfect. The Bluetooth works with the flashable zip fix just fine. I use my sixaxis controller with it and it's flawless. Benchmarks are about the same as before, but I don't really pay attention to them. I would recommend updating, I regret not doing it sooner.

I am actually noticing better WiFi performance with 4.2.2. I don't have to use better WiFi anymore, it switches seamlessly between my 2 routers with the same ssid. 4.2.2 made my nexus 7 run a lot smoother and faster, all around it was a good decision to upgrade.

Bluetooth was pretty much screwed on all devices by 4.2.x. I have a Nexus 7 and a HTC One XL, which I used to tether via bluetooth. This worked perfectly when both devices were on 4.1.2. Now the devices pair and the Nexus 7 claims to be using the One XL for internet connectivity, but it doesn't work and says network unreachable when I ping from terminal.
I never use bluetooth audio on my Nexus, but I do use it on my One XL. That's pretty much screwed since 4.2.x as well, with poor quality and crackling. There's a massive google bug report thread on it, which actually looks like I've not got it as bad as a lot of people!
Where do you find the flashable bluetooth fix? Is it just for Nexus 7?
cyanogenmod 10.1/ 4.2.2 my nexus 7 is now a lot smoother than on 4.2.1!

Hi there,
I use stock 4.2.2 with apex launcher and its the most fluent and rapid thing. Scrolling feels so good. I am new to nexus 7 and JB, but from what i have seen so far im loving it.
In terms of web browsing and performance in general its quite good. I had galaxy tab 2 7" before nexus and it just not match the smotherness and performance of the N7. Its impressive.

Aside from almost having a stroke every time I rotate the screen, specifically on the lockscreen, mine is doing just fine.

Funny, i never use landscape. Only for media play, or some games that come landed by default.
Apart of that, i always use it 'phone-wise'.

[Q] htc one bluetooth audio delay

I own the lg tone+ bluetooth ( which is amazing, I always wear it) but when I watch videos on my htc one theres a delay on audio. itreally bugs me when I watch youtube... I don't think its my lg tone because it worked prefect on my lg.optimus anyone know if it's fixable through settings on the phone
This happens to me as well. It's like you miss the first 2 seconds or so. Thought I was just over thinking it or something.

I haven't tried it on my HTC One, but I thought all a2dp was delayed?
I noticed it also on my Bluetooth sync in my car when I watch videos ..I thought it was normal lol guess not

ive had these phones over a year and the audio is a bit delayed. i use these on my moto xoom tab and when i watch youtube vids there is a slight audio lag compared to the video on screen.
not the fault of the htc one in my opinion since this occurs on another product (moto xoom).
I notice this in my car, the timestamp on my dashboard display is off from what I see in my phone, and the audio is a second or two off, not a big deal, but I definitely thought it was just me haha.
I have the same issue when connected to BT in my car. I stopped using it because the delay makes me crazy. I have yet to try a BT earpiece though. For now I am just giving up on any BT Connectivity...

Just Motorola earphones work

Hello, I installed Omar Avelar's ROM, since I did this I can't hear music from other earphones rather than Motorola's stock ones. Any idea how to fix this?
Sent from my XT890 using Tapatalk 2
I have a slightly different issue. I'm also using Omar's ROM. My headphones normally work fine but if I receive a call whilst the headphones are plugged in and unplug the headphones to take the call, when I plug the headphones back in the volume is very quiet in the right hand earpiece. The left hand one is normal. I use poweramp for music playback btw.
The problem just fixes itself eventually. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

New Firmware Update! 10.26.1.18 - Kernel - December 18

The firmware update is 10.26.1.18 The kernel was also updated to 3.4.57 - December 18.
Had anyone noticed the brightness issue resolved? For that matter, has anyone noticed ANY changes? My hope is the issue where you had to click on the "smart saving" icon in the drop down menu isn't needed anymore (to fix the interment brightness issues.)
The only thing I saw was a pop-up when the update was completed. It said Asus has a new program built into the device that will send usage information and statistics to them to help find any issues and keep it up to date. Then it asked if I understood with an option to click a check mark. I didn't click it..I don't want to share my information with them. Are they nuts?

I already have 3.4.57 (10.26.1.7 firmware) but it's dated Nov. 8. I'm unlocked and rooted and I don't get any notification of an update, nor do I see anything recent on the Asus download page.
Go into settings then "About"... click "System Update." That's how I got mine

Did that and clicked the button a half dozen times or so. Nada. Are you in the US? I don't think it will let me update OTA anyway since I unlocked my bootloader, but it should at least tell me there's an update that I can't have.

Nice! Hopefully they fixed some of the browser bugs as well.
Anyone saw it anywhere available for manual download please?
Auto brightness flickering killing my eyes...
BTW, any improvment on brightness during movie playback?
Weird, I got the 10.26.1.18 update yesterday, but it's Dec 17 not 18 for the date.
I wonder if there's any difference. I don't see any update as of now though. Keyboard dock is still not reading USB 3.0 sticks with the USB port... probably gonna RMA it tomorrow

Reply to a thread on XDA and in the reply box after typing hit the backspace key repeatedly, or cursor up and down and the browser will crash is one I remember off the top of my head. It does it on the TF700 and TF201 as well - happens on most forums I visit so could be a bug in forum software but still the browser shouldn't just crash to the desktop.
This might be a bit off-topic but I'm having some nasty issues with OTA updates:
A month or so ago I decided to update to 4.3 manually, using the 1 GB file on Asus' website (I have the WW version and I'm in Bulgaria). It worked alright but yesterday something happened - I got an OTA notice and I didn't even look at the version it was going to, only that it was 250 MB large. I went ahead with the update and my tablet simply couldn't boot. I got into the bootloader and I saw that the "update" was actually a downgrade to 4.2.2. Finally, I thought of wiping the data off the tablet and it managed to boot. I was on 4.2.2 and any update checking still came up empty, a whole month and more after 4.3 arrived!
Now I'm back on 4.3 using the manual method and I keep getting the upgrade-downgrade notice from the System Update option. How screwed am I? Can I get this new update anytime soon? Should I bother writing a complaint to ASUS?
EDIT: Ooops, just saw the whole other thread about this issue. Guess it's a WW version thing. Mods, please delete this post.
Firmware page on Asus website is unreachable atm.
So can't check if the new firmware is online.
Checked Intl and country depended websites and all are down......but 1 worked:
http://www.asus.com/au/supportonly/ASUS Transformer Pad (TF701T)/#support_Download
But no new updates there.
Asus could better spend time, effort and money fixing the flakey dock connection!! :crying:

i have strange problem with my TF701 after this unfortunate 'update'. after update it got stuck in boot, so i had to wipe it clean and restore what i could and everything seemed to be OK. Now, when i plug it into charger, screen turns itself on. after 2 min (my timeout interval for screen), it turns off. but after while, it turns itself back on. and then off. and then...
any ideas what it could be? no root. stock rom.
thanks
It bricked my device! Now it doesn't boot. After a new boot animation gets stuck and it doesn't boot. What can I do to repair it? I don’t want to send it to the warranty because I won't have for a month. Please help!
