U have to flash back to stock 2.1 (repair or flash stock via flash tools)
Next time when u wanna unlock, make sure that u remove sim-card

I read that re-locking a bootloader with a custom kernel installed would brick your phone, is that not correct? I belive the correct way would to be to reflash your phone to stock using SEUS and then lock the bootloader?
I'm not saying that eagleeyetom is wrong, I'm fairly new to this type of thing but I do remember the unlockbootloader guide stating not to relock bootloader with a custom Kernel installed as you'd brick the phone. Just trying to help
thanks for help.
my touchscreen is broken. I wanna change it to the new one.
I should relock my phone, right??
Are they check the software?? I think i've got the hardware problem..
Yeah, you're right. You should first flash stock kernel and then re-lock.
thanks.. i'll try it..
hi all i am having many doubts regarding installing custom rom please help me...
my doubts are
1.Do i need to unlock my boot loader to update my baseband
2.Will the unlocked boot loader stay always so that i can flash many kernel and custom rom or do i need to unlock each time
3.After unlocking which case should i relock my baseband
i am sorry if these questions are very basic i am very much confused
1.No, it is nor required to unlock the bootloader to update the baseband.
2.Yes, it will always stay unlocked even if you restore with PC Companion or SEUS.
3.You should relock it if you are sending the phone for repair at Sony Ericsson.
First check manufacture date before proceding to unlock bootloader.

As said above, check manufacturingdate. IF above 11w29 then dont try to unlock. Chances are youll be ending upp with a brick.

If it is an offical update from SE, that doesn't need to unlock.
If it is kernel, rom bla bla bla from this FORUM, Mostly rom will need you to use the kernel, thus it is a must to unlock the bootloader.
So, if you're using original eclair, planning update it, there's is no risk except for electrical trip suddenly happen

Hi there.
After i unlocked* the bootloader of my phone i got stuck in a bootloop, then i had to flash the TFT all over again...
The problem is that i don't know if the phone is already with bootloader unlocked or not...
how can i check it?
I was thinking on trying to do the unlock steps again, but i'm scared of being trapped on another bootloop...
Is there a way to check if the bootloader is already unlocked?
PS: The bootloader unlock allowed is yes.
thanks you guys.
Flash doom kernel via fastboot with this command:
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
If you get an error than your bootloader is not unlocked.
You can flash back to stock kernel with flashtool, flash the kernel separately.
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
but if i got that error and confirm that the bootloader is locked, is there any chance to harm the phone? or need to flash the TFT again, etc etc
use flashtool to tell you
Another more easy approach .
When bootloader unlock allowed says yes and be2 is working in Album, then it is still locked and you can start the unlock steps again.
How can i use flashtool to tell me?
@DevShaft
Before i could see in a flash the bravia engine working on pictures. There was a little delay... Now i can't see it.
Probably the bootloader is unlock.
If i try to install Doom's kernel via recovery and the bootloader is LOCKED, can it do any harm? thanks guys

I unlocked my Xperia Z and in Service Mode I can see 'Bootloader unlocked: Yes'.
Now my phone is running on latest C6603 firmware and DooM Kernel.
To my surprise, BE2 still works! Music info download still works! TrackID still works!:victory:
But not picture enhancement in album right? Hope you backed up TA partition before unlocking

im surprised at how this 'check bootloader is unlocked already or not' thread is confusing.
by the previous post, there is two 2 ways
1. try to flash doomlords kernel via fastboot, and if it doesnt flash means its NOT unlocked.
2. flashtool.
however the 2. flashtool method is very vague.. dont think anyone elaborated it.
So my same query is that if some error occurs after trying to unlock bootloader, and have reverted back to the stock FTF rom in original working state.
How do one check to see if my bootloader is unlocked or not?
whats the best easiest method???
Thank you!
just type in *#*#7378423#*#*
Go to Service Info > Configuration
And check the Rooting Status
If its Bootloader unlock allowed:Yes/No, then its not unlocked.
And if its Bootloader unlocked:Yes, then its unlocked.

That just tells you weather you can unlock your bootloader via the command / flashtool e.g. If you carrier has locked your phone
On a unlocked bootloader the BE2 engine still works on videos ect just not pictures.
All I would do Is flash doom kernel or advanced stock kernel via flashtool (Click on lightning bolt /fast boot / click on put device in fastboot via adb now phone will enter fastboot then select kernel to flash which is in the middle on the pop up screen and then flash if it will take around 0 . 5 seconds ) if it fails then you bootloader is locked due to it cannot complete the command if is successful then it's unlocked and you can flash custom kernels take about 2 mins to do all in all

There's one case where your statement isn't true but it doesn't apply to AT&T Xperias, indeed.
Namely, if you use binary's rooting toolkit version 21 (and some other versions too) to obtain root on at least Xperia V (cannot say for the other models), the Service menu will show bootloader status as “unlock allowed: no” regardless of the actual bootloader lock state.

Have you tried it?
Flashing an older firmware version to a phone with non-unlockable bootloader will not solve the problem, as common retail firmware images from Sony do not alter the bootloader.

Have you ever tried it? My phone is TX, with 4.0.4 stock , bootloader status unlock said "yes", I upgraded to 4.1.2 and status said "no", did rollback to stock 4.0.4, I unlocked my TX bootloader. Do not give advice when you do not know it surely. I did it my own hand.

if you have bootloader unlock allow: yes
and then you root your 4.1.2
it will display bootloader unlock allow: no
but it is still unlockable (must be a little bug?!)
so....no, you will not unlock your bootloader easily your way

NO. You can't unlock your bootloader if 'unlock bootloader allowed = no'
Since you cannot unlock bootloader, therefore you cannot flash custom ROM on your phone.
Rooting phone do not always need bootloader to be unlocked. There will be some ways available to root your phone with LB.
Also there will be some ROMs available that can be flashed over LB. But they'll be based on stock and will not have more features rather than stock features.
You just need to search here on XDA
I suggest you not to flash any ROM on LB. You'll eventually get bootloops and maybe hard brick.

Nope! As much as I know, you cannot change status from 'no to yes' rather than changing your motherboard to do so. It'll cost you more than you buyed it.
It is related to TA Partition. And EVERY phone has its unique TA. So no one can change its status. Flashing other phones TA to your phone will brick your device.

In such case you need to roll back to your previous android version. I don't think you could unlock your bootloader. But if you are telling it was 'yes' before, then you should try.
No matter your phone works with every sim or not. TA Partition contains DRM keys as well as many other things related to network, warranty, services which get erased after unlocking bootloader.

Yes you can flash any stock ROM through flashtool. You just need to download appropriate firmware (.ftf)

You mean bootscreen, right?
Just because of bootscreen are you going to change the entire ROM?
You could change bootscreen manually. Your phone just need to be rooted to do so. To root your phone use kingroot app. If your lucky enough, your phone will be rooted.
There are tons of bootscreens available. Just pick one and place it in /system/media (don't forget to backup old one) with -rw--r--r permissions and Bingo! You have changed your bootscreen.

Dude, your on latest android version. There isn't any exploit available to root ver 5.1.1
You either need to wait until anyone makes an exploit for your phone or you need downgrade your phone and root it.
There is a pre-rooted firmware available for lollipop But it works only if phone has 5.0.2 .
Unfortunately your phone has 5.1.1 that means you still need to downgrade your phone and flash pre-rooted 5.1.1
Also, your bootloader can't be unlocked. So you need to flash ROM accordingly. Don't ever flash ROM that are meant for unlocked bootloader.
Regards,
hitman-xda
when someone makes an exploit for my phone and root 5.1.1 . i steel need to unlock the boot loader ?
