There's A LOT of Roms that you can use such as GingerDx for GB,MiniCM9/10 for ICS,JellySony for JB.Remember that you would need to flash the kernel for the rom.

I did.it did not find.sry
But i found it later.is it best stable rom???!!!it has dozens of bugs!i think i should try sth else.can i port a pure cm?
And bytheway which kernels do you suggest?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium

i use nobodyatall's jb rom + kernel combo. i have no use for tethering so i can't give you any feedbacks about it. as for memory, you can use a2sd or xdata for playing games, but as i've experienced, class 6 isn't enough (just an opinion). biggest problem with our x8 is ram and hardware.. we can't do much about that.

Sony devices are different, must unlock bootloader to flash a kernel (depending on manufacturing date it might be possible or not)
My manufacturing date is 11w19 (written on the back of phone's motherboard.
If it's written 11w25,11w26 ,11w27 .... 12w01 .....etc... you can't unlock.
Best stable gingerbread rom is GingerDX v029(as my friend said)
{{For better performance freeze some unnecessary system apps with "system tuner"or "titanium backup"}}
Simply Google it to find
sent using" ultimate - ics - standard"

Tnx.i know how to freeze.im on a costume rom too.the problem is she is not so much of a tech nerd.ill deal with that
If i get her kernel version and baseband would it be of any help?
I already rooted the phone with superoneclick do i need to unlock bootloader too?
And what are the ways to go to recovery?can i just use romtoolbox for that?

what date is on the back of the phone (after taking out the battery)? if it's 11w29+ then i suggest to not unlock bootloader. if you can unlock the bootloader, it's best to flash a custom kernel for the rom you want to use.

NO way
no way even on 2.2 and 2.3, you can install it but never get it work because of the hardware limitation
you need ARMV7 CPU to make it work and the X8 is an ARMV6 phone

Froyopro 2.2

I use GingerDX 028b and have no performance issues with it-every thing seems smooth to me-especially Nemus Launcher. Maybe you should try playing around in the performance settings-as long as you know what you are doing. Alternatively your could try out GingerXperia- i have heard it is fast.
GingerCrutz for Stock Kernel was the fastest rom.
Currently on GingerDX v28b and its feature loaded

hard bricked while flashing cm9...
i can imagine 2possibilities:
1.) you flashed with rom manager: in this case....you earned it. *facepalm*
2.) you dont have s5830 but 58xx/58xxx...in this case...see 1.) = faceplm
if you really flashed it with CWM 5 on a S5830 and the above possibilities do not apply to you, we need more information.

If you can get to download mode (hold volume down + power) then you can fix. If not, take it to service centre and say computer crashed while uploading with kies.
Read the stickies, if you had done that first you wouldn't be in this situation

[Q] Newb question: kernel with ROM

I am currently running CM10, I'm completely satisfied by the ROM itself, but a quick question popped up - how do I install a custom kernel on my new ROM? Which one is the best for CM10?
And excuse me for such question - what is the main purpose of kernel?

Yes, I liked it to you, just install it like so:
0.have a jelly bean rom installed
1.wipe all caches like dalvik and do factory reset
2. Install a room what would you like (Android 4.1.2 jelly bean) (install Gatos if you need them)
3. Reboot
4. Let it load fully (boot )
5.reboot in recovery
6.install devil kernel what I linked to you
7.reboot
8.download devil kernel manager
(if you swipe right in the tabs, and course misc, there is stronger Wi-Fi option)
9.enjoy
10. Press thanks... (not really I won't force you, just kidding xD ) so the real 10. Is ask if you have trouble: )

Ultimate cause you can install cleanest. Safe kernel and format system and data.
Alliance is good, but I always had issues cause I couldnt format. Also not everything was installed as I liked, becausebsome options for install are available onky throught scripts called upon bij installed app, which is why formats arent possible for mounts.
What's good for me maybe your poison, but ultimate is way the best

all jb based on dumps and leaks have issues currently. Just read the threads, and on none perform a battery pull or your phone wont boot.
the rom today is angry v3................it comes with multiwindow, airview, inkeffect on lock screen and have multiple dpi options u can use tablet mod etc.
I suggest ultimate.but alliance and angry are good too
I only tryed the ultimate and im pleased
Ofcourse these roms are kinda based on leaks so expect some problems but nothing sirious really
