Build.prop - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I am relatively new on this forum, but it has helped me with my new phone since I received it. Anyway, long story short, my S3 Mini's build.prop file has been modified without a backup ( yes, yes, I am an idiot, let's move on) and now I kind of need the original stock file. If you could post one, that would be great. Thank you in advance!

Original Sense 2.1 files needed

OK guys i'm well on my way to making something now, however I really want to jump start this by using some of the original images from Sense UI. I've got the RUU, but i can extract to a ROM zip. So has someone already done it, or can someone tell me how?
Thanks in Advance
Luke.

Question about Rooting in the US

Hello there! I apologize for being a twit, but I just received my shiny white Note today and am super excited; coming from an Atrix this is a huge upgrade! I did have a question about rooting though. My phone has the N7000XXKKA (2.6.35) kernal, and I've seen the specific rooting tools in the Development section, but I noticed some of the files have the same name but different countries attached to them. Do I need to know where my phone was made? Or can I use any of the files that match the kernel version I currently have? Thanks!

The original firmware on my phone was for Brazil (UBKK1) and I put on checkRom (which uses XXLA4.) Everything works fine.

For Rooting, you need not to care about your region, You have kernel KKA, then you go to this tread, find 'I have kernel KKA'(lower part of OP) download required file, extract n run I am unrooted script.
Thanks! Your thread was incredibly helpful and did the trick. I have a question that's not really related, but you might know: If I install one of the custom roms, will it break the pressure sensitivity of the S-Pen? I do a lot of sketching with it so I don't want it to stop functioning.

Didn't you take a backup of your original firmware with CWM before trying the ICS firmwares?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1127849
This is the one i used, worked great.
Thanks guys! I did take a backup but somehow it got deleted..
I did create a backup file with CWM but after recovering (completed) from this file the phone keeps rebooting and it doesn't go further than the LG logo.
Don't post questions in the general section.

Last I heard, this model phone was unflashable since Verizon decided to lock all the bootloaders on it.. No one can seem to turn off the write protect... I've been keeping my eye out for a month now for some way to flash this thing, but nothing takes...

I lost HOURS trying to figure it out. FIRST SPACE its a period (.) then on Second Space the REV00 its all together. NOT (REV0 0) NOR (REV0.0) That is why lot of people think link is dead or not working.
BRs,
Luis Daniel
By the way I'm sick of download payment sites. In next months Im investing a FULL STORAGE CAPACITY DEDICATED TO TORRENT FOR SAMSUNG, LG, HTC, you name it! All Files Accepted & FULL SHARE FOR Freeeeeeeeeee!!!!
joel: idk why the post disappeared after i logged in but thank you for the link to the stock rom. i stupidly removed some stock apps and bloatware without creating an update.zip in T B nor did i have a proper backup cuz i havent found a custom recovery yet . im downloading now will post on how the flash goes.
to the person that gave info on where to place the period and remove spaces thank you. you may have saved hours of frustration. i recognized the space between dropbox and com but may have taken a while to see the space in rev00.

Get Original Stock ROM KitKat

Hello,
Just bought some weeks ago my S5 and now I've the update Lollipop reminder everyday.
I just had an bad experience with my last HTC, so now before going to Lollipop I would like to save my current and original ROM.
I've searched on Google and seen some people saying to use odin and oders CWM.
Can someone help to get my original ROM downloaded from my phone?
MY PHONE IS NOT ROOTED, can we do it anyway?
thanks in advance

Hello. You can download the Original Stock ROM from Sammobile. Note down your Build Number which you can find Under Settings->Phone Info. Then head to sammobile and search for your Version, and download it. Beware that updating to lollipop, your baseband and Bootloader will change. You will also need the BL and Baseband for Kitkat, which you can find here on XDA,there is a collection just search for it
I know about that.
I've done it using Odin on my Samsung ACE2, but found different from original ROM!
One time I've upgraded to version 4.1.2 and it was so slow, that I had to downgrade again.
Just found Russian ROM to downgrade and it's a little different from my country.
If there is no option, so I will let the S5 go to Lollipop!
Let see if I don't get Camera problems, GSM or Wi-Fi.
I will cross fingers!!!
thank anyway
Already let my phone to update to Lollipop and.....
1st impact..... I DON'T LIKE IT!
the green-blue background colour is terrible.
why not possible to change this theme, to black for instance?
the biggest negative problem is that I can't get write access to my micro-Sd card.
read in a lot of sites that wire access will be given to 3rd parties apps, but NOT TRUE!
does someone that has Lollipop has wire access to sd card with 3rd partie app?
thanks mate

because its not their job to pander to everyones needs. theyve used the same skin and color scheme for years now and its up to you to do research into what phone you want to buy and how it looks. the update has been out for so long that you could have seen its looks before you upgraded
