I've searched about a bit and found no info on whether or not the Pogo charger will work with specific cases. Specifically for me, I just received a Poetic Revolution case and took note of the relatively small opening around the Pogo port. If anyone has both a Revolution case and a Pogo charger, would you mind telling us whether these accessories work together nicely? Also, information about the compatibility of other cases with the Pogo charger may be helpful to others looking to buy one thing or another.
POGO cable + Poetic hardback is a winner for me! The cut out for the connector is perfect.

I have the moko keyboard case, and am using it now. I have not received my Pogo charger yet. The cutout for the connector is only in the material that holds the tablet inside the case. There is no cutout for the Pogo cable in the backbone or spine of the case. The case is minimal in size. While I do not believe that making a cutout would be hard, I believe the Pogo connector will get in the way of how the tablet is propped up.

Poetic slimbook case works perfectly! I have it.

I have the HDMI docking station and it has a removable sleeve so that the extended battery or a case can be on the phone while docking. Does the standard case have the same capabilty?
I have a cheap ebay TPU case and it fits perfectly in there with the sleeve removed.
Not sure if you meant standard case or standard dock, but yes, the standard dock does have the removable insert for working with a case on the phone. Now all we need is a decent hard case that will actually fit in the docks... I'm not a huge fan of the silicone cases and I didn't have much luck with the incipio or the shell/holster fitting the car dock I'm sure they'll be coming soon enough.

I hate silicon cases also, have you ever tried TPU? Verizon sells one that they call High Gloss Silicon but it is a very firm molded case and nothing like silicon.

It is fit but no connection to charge the phone. I have tried TPU case in car dock and standard dock but both have problems with connection.
I have the shell/holster and I can get it to charge in the standard dock but the dock app will not launch. I usually just pop the shell off and let it charge that way at night. I do have the extended battery but the shell already accommodates that so it doesn't make a difference for the dock.
Side note: The audio output of the standard dock seems to work through the USB of the Bionic, it's not as loud as the headphone jack tho.

I have the shell/holster case also and it does fit and the dock apps do launch. There is a plastic filler that has to be removed in order to make the proper connection. This is a much better design from Moto than on the DX.

Anyone know of a case that you do not need to remove in order to dock the N7?
Thanks.

One like this, or any similar design should work:
http://www.amazon.com/Blurex-Ultra-Slim-Multi-Angle-Premium-Protector/dp/B008D2POAS/ref=pd_cp_pc_2
Unfortunately, I don't have the dock so I can't verify, but the official Xoom case I had and its dock. It did a similar thing where one side of the tablet case snaps off leaving that side clear to dock. I do have the case and it looks like it should work. The case is pretty nice.
I have Poetic branded version of the above case and the bottom half unclips allowing the N7 to sit in the dock.
Yep. I have the Moko case through Amazon which allows the side the the pogo connector side of the device to unclip from the case also.
Is anyone aware of a case like the Seido Active (Basically something to protect the nexus from my kids) that works with the dock?

I don't see how it could. The pins on thye Dock have to actually touch the dots on the N7. Even cases that have the cut out for the connector don't work. The 3 mentioned above work perfectly cause the N7 is free and clear of the case at that spot. It just drapes over the back of the dock like a skirt (or kilt if don't want your N7 refered to femininely)
Hello,
I'm most definitely buying a Nexus 10 this weekend. What are the best accessories for it?
Most importantly I am looking for a dock/kickstand and a case. Can you people recommend any?
Thanks,
Crazysah
http://www.amazon.com/IPAD-ST-Universal-Tablet-Stand-Kindle/dp/B0045JNBNU is a pretty nice basic stand that works fine.
Any other recommended accessories out there?
The Moko Slim-Fit (note, NOT ultraslim) is a great case with the ability to act as a kickstand at multiple angles.

+1 for the Poetic Hardback. I have a smart cover and a silicon case, but keep going back to the Hardback.
I would also recommend getting a POGO cable. Some question the price/value, but at this point it is the only option and I have found it quite useful in terms of somewhat faster charging and less wear on the micro usb port.
If you use screen protectors, you can just leave the one on that it ships with unless you want an anti-glare protector.
Get the SGP screen protector. Absolutely beautiful.

I've heard a lot about the Moko Slim-Fit versus the Poetic Hardback? Not exactly sure which is better.
So that is for the case. Both have kickstands right? So no need for a dock then?
And the POGO cable, yes, I'll get it.
Anything else I should for?

There are no true docks available for this device yet that I am aware of.
The Hardback case can be configured to prop the tablet open to several angles with the top cover laying flat in front of the screen. That might work differently than what some people think of as a kickstand, which to me is something that opens from the back to prop the tablet up and nothing lies in front of the screen. The problem with either style is that the POGO connector is on the bottom, so you might end up using the micro usb for power or maybe flip the screen upside down in the case, but then the power and volume buttons are on the bottom and you have the POGO connector sticking out on top. We really want a true dock for this soon...
Okay. The only question now is, The Moko Slim-Fit or the Poetic Hardback?
Why the poetic have that ugly cross on it ... Little macabre

I have the moko slim-fit, here's a quick run-down:
It's quite a good looking case, with various different colour options (I took orange). The PU material did not come stinking of catpiss, is very well made and shows no signs of wear after some use.
It has magnets that wake/sleep the screen and it can prop the tablet up at various angles.
It has a really nice microfiber interior, which will never scratch the screen and feels pleasant to the touch.
All the ports are exposed and easily accessible, as well as the buttons (this is not true for the poetic).
I also read that the corners on some peoples' poetic cases would crack.
Those are pretty much the reasons why I bought the Moko and I am more than pleased with it. Excellent case.

I would say the exact same thing about mine. It is a great feeling case especially when opened with the lid behind. It also has the little elastic to hold it fully open as well as the hand slip which I use at work all the time

I have the Moko Slim-Fit, and I'm very happy with it.
I made a review a couple weeks ago, it's in a spanish forum, but you may want to see the pictures I took.
Here's my post:
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=578628
Bought the Moko Slim-Fit. Will buy the Pogo cable in a few days. Anything else worth it?
as with everyone else, the moko slim fit is an awesome case,
also if you want to game, the OTG to USB adaptor, love plugging in my controller to play roms best 13cents off amazon I have ever spent
Just ordered both is sisaxis plug and play with the otg?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I bought this set for the tpu case but it came with lots of extras
Otg cable, 3.5 mm to 3.5mm, 3.5mm splitter, ear buds with answer call button, USB cable, retractable USB cable, 2100ma wall wort, car adaptor, hard rubber tpu, fake leather book case, screen protector, necklace felt storage bag, a stylus.
The book case is well made but I did not like the fit the buttons at the bottom had a cutout the rest of the bezel was covered in the fake leather.
The tpu case I liked a lot more it fit well just grippy enough still had to make 2 holes in it for the ir blaster and the 2nd microphone.
Otg not supported on the tab 3 I used my s3 to test the cable and it worked. I have a zagg protector on my tab ATM when it gets worn out I'll try out the one that came with this kit I feel like the kit is on the cheap side definitely not worth the 99.99 amazon says it retails for but for all you get it is worth getting at what i paid. I paid 32.99 with free shipping at amazon it was on sale when the tab 3 first came out for 26 i really wish i had jumped on it then.
A note about what i received they say they will give a fish bone wire keeper for the headphones but what i received was the otg cable. Looking at the entry for it on amazon the 10.1 comes with a otg cable so i doubt anyone will get the fish bone wire keeper.

Apologies for the long reply...
You can check out XVIDA. I use the XVIDA Car Mount and an XVIDA StickyPad. (Note the XVIDA StickyPad works with the phone naked or with a smooth back case)
The are three variants. Suction Cup, Air Vent, and CD Slot Mount.
I also use their Desk Mount and Mountable Pad.
I am not sure if the XVIDA StickyPad is compatible with the Pitaka case. I am curious to know though. I have an X-Doria Galaxy Note 8 Case Defense Lux Carbon Fiber case, XVIDA StickyPad, Case friendly 0.33mm dot matrix tempted glass protector, and a uh ring finger thing. I like how the Pitaka case looks not sure about drop protection.
This case and screen protector combo has saved from a weird drop. Flying out of my hands screen first unto the metal protusions of a shopping cart. Broken screen protector near the Iris scanner and bottom near the default location of the back button. Screen was saved with no scratches or anything. I panicked though since this was just 3 days from my purchase.
Note:
If the Note 8 case isn't smooth you need to use stronger double sided adhesives.

Oh sadly the Scosche Magnetic Car Mounts won't work. The magnets have to be around the qi wireless charging transmitter on the mount. Magnets and metal interferes with Qi wireless charging. In fact Qi wireless charging also slightly interferes with the S-Pen when using a wireless charging powerbank. I even got a notification pop-up stating that.
Mophie also has a solution but I don't want a battery case.

Hrm, yeah the mophie also isn't water resistant. Wonder if the Pitaka really is the only solution for the time being...? Too bad so many people seem to be having customer support issues with them!
I have a Pitaka case and it is the only one that works with mag mounts and wireless charging. I think Pitaka is just overwhelmed with orders. Before I got this case I had to use a metal plate a small one and put it on the outside of my case all the way up by the camera for it to work with my wireless charger. It looks horrible but it worked. So when I heard about Pitaka I jumped on it fast. I ordered mine and the car mount and I received it in about 8 days. I would just keep checking back with them. Actually.. I did a slight modification to my spiegen, and it does both.. The only thing I did was cut one of the round magnets in half, and then, placed it in the normal indention for the magnet.. And I have used it now, for at least a good month without issue.. I also turn the phone landscape on the charging stand sometimes to watch a video while charging...

It was very easy mod.. Took about 3 minutes to cut the magnet.. The most difficult part of course was cutting the magnet(but if you have a dremel, it's a non thought). And it is the thin fit case.. Very, very easy.... Link below to the case and the magnets:

If you are willing to pay the price. Mophie's Charge Force line has this.
about 50 for the case and another 50 for the car charger.
100 for the case for the battery case version

Are you saying that you cut the round metal plate in 1/2 and only using half of the metal plate on the top part of the case cut out to provide more room for the wireless charging magnets?
Thanks

I think your complicating it in your head, more than it really is, in action.. Visualize what I wrote, and then, look at the two pieces that I linked to.. And it will come to you.. You honestly just cutting the magnet (plate) in half and sticking it in the case indention that is already there.. Versus using the whole thing.. It's really, truly not technical at all..

No problem.. Hopefully it helped.. I just thought to myself when I got the 8 that there has to be an easier way to solve this.. I may at some point end up ordering that carbon case (honestly, it's just a sweet case), but spending 50.00 on a case, for me, I have a ton of hobbies already that suck up enough money..

Am I the only one that doesn't use the metal plate the mount comes with? It just sticks to my phone without having to use a metal disc. I'm using a sosche magnetic mount, same story with my previous s7e and s8+, granted I am using one of the super thin peel case.
