Returning to stock

Is there anyway to return the phone to unrooted stock (atleast I think I am rooted I'm running a custom rom but nothing is detecting root so I don't know) without a computer?

RUU fails

Hi,
I want to go back to the original Android 4.0 because the different roms I tried all show some problems like apps stuck and stuff. I saved the RUU to my laptop, one which I knew it worked. But when I tried to use it 5 mins ago it said BOOTLOADERVERSION ERROR (translated it to english, don't know if the error is right in English, could be something like Signature error) and that I have to get the right bootloader. I'm currently using AOKP's IceColdSandwich, which RUU do I need to get back to the stock Android?

I have already relocked the bootloader. Just read that the RUU I tried to run is for a 2.01.0001 HBOOT and I now have HBOOT 2.02.0002, would that make any differences?
actually the issue is with ur RUU you can't downgrade your bootloader version...try running the ruu with matched bootloader version...

I used Revone to s-off so I can't tell you much about moonshine. But I do know that moonshine flashes a custom hboot automatically so you will need to flash a stock hboot before you command s-on or you will permanently hard brick your phone...

[Q] I'm getting mad while trying to restore to stock my phone!

Hi all, I'm a new user of this forum and I signed up because I'm really getting mad with my phone
Some time ago, I liked to flash custom rooms like MIUI, CyanogenMod, etc... but now I would to restore back my phone to stock rom.
I read a lot of tutorial on internet but nothing is working for me. I get various error with revone and moonshine.
I think I need to restart from the beginning. My mobile is mounting HBOOT 1.54 and it has S-ON.
What should I do to restore to stock rom my mobile? I want also to restore the recovery and other modification I have done during rooting.
Tell me if you need more information.
Thanks in advance .
Antuonox3.
You can't S-Off. You need RUU or backup and stock recovery.

Ok. I downloaded the correct version of RUU.exe but if I try to run the exe it gives me "bootloader version error 140".
What should I do?

You can't downgrade without S-Off, and you can't get S-Off with hboot 1.54
Can you post a "fastboot getval all" (remove IMEI and s/n before posting)
Yes you can

You have to relock your bootloader if you are s-on. I would just wait for a day or so, 1.54 s-off has been achieved and just waiting on the man to release it. look in the general thread, and throw him a $20.

Check out the Bounty thread, a couple of beta testers have achieved s-off on hboot 1.54. Software should be released soon to allow the rest of us to get s-off
