Here my friend you have to place the new radio (PG32IMG.zip) on sd card, reboot on hboot, hboot will detect it and install for you. Instructions here

If you are concerned about flashing a radio and changing your main-version, then just open the PG32IMG.zip file and modify the value in android-info.txt to something like 2.00.0000. That file is the one that updates the main-version value when you allow the bootloader to flash a PG32IMG.zip file.

You have posted a general question in the Developement forum. Anyway, it's not possible.
look at the bright side
I, too, mistakingly upgrade to 2.30.405.1. Looking forward to a way to be downgraded and S-off.
At the mean time, however, I made myself enjoin using better FM-Radio signal and much better image quality from camera in 2.30.405.1.
Note: my previous built was Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.12.405.7
it is possible to flash another RUU ROM using goldcard on a phone that comes with 2.30.405.1 ?

No. You can't go 'backwards' with a Goldcard, just flash RUUs from different regions. If that were possible to do, then everyone on 2.30.405.1 would be able to downgrade and root easily and there wouldn't be any problems with it.
You have to flash the 2.12 Rom.zip via sd (gold) but change the 2.12 version number in the android-text to 2.30...worked for me...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that will only work if you have S-OFF because by modifying the contents of the android-text file in the PG32IMG.zip file will invalidate the HTC signature and the HBOOT loader will fail trying to flash it an unsigned file.

I think that must be true, otherwise everyone would be doing it to get S-OFF!

Not necessarily, it depends on the ROM you're currently running. For the most part you can use a gold card to flash an RUU that's the same version or newer than what you're running currently, which is useful to get a ROM that doesn't have the exploit patched that AlphaRevX uses. Some carrier's ROMs can't be flashed at all, no matter what, gold card or not. For example the latest Verizon Wireless ROM is completely locked down and can't be flashed/rooted/S-OFF'd without using an XTC Clip. Other carriers are better about leaving the ROM's alone. All you can do is try and see what happens.

loading...PG32IMG.zip
when load complete:
checking...PG32IMG.zip
and after this step back to main hboot page and after reboot NO HAPPENS to my phone!!! my last rom is still alive you sure this way worked for you????

Even with a goldcard, if you are S-ON and you modify the PG32IMG.zip by editting the android-info.txt file to change the version, you no longer have a HTC signature on the zip file and it will not flash. With S-ON you will not be able to flash a ROM that has a version number less than 2.30.xxx.x
Then have anyone known what "ROM that has a version number greater than or equal to 2.30.xxx.x" and can be S-off by "Alpharevx".
I also tried the same, even with a gold card. I think it worked for him because he is already S-OFF.
There is nothing we can do until a temp root method is found for 2.30. Or we could use an xtc clip to gain s-off.
if i use the clipm then will it be s-offed forever? or if u update hboot, then its fall back to s-on?

The XTC clip will give you permanent S-OFF. Flashing a new HBOOT will not affect the S-OFF setting.
S-off + 2.30.405.1 = true

Pretty sure the OP wants to find out whether it works before they flash it, so they're not stuck S-ON.
Im already stuck on S-ON with a older ROM from RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_KT_KR_2.32.1010.1_Radio_20. 2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16_M_release_199684_signe d
flashing the new one now hope it works
Somehow i dont seem to be able to flash this RUU i keep getting a MODEL id error even though im using a goldcard
any ideas what the problem could be ??
I'll try it later I doubt it will be s-off able.

The Canadian Inc S has a model number of S710a and you are probably trying to flash it on a model number S170e. That is why you get the model id error even though you have a goldcard. The goldcard is only used to allow you to flash a ROM from a different carrier id. (CID).
If you have S-OFF, you can extract the ROM.zip file from the RUU and the modify the android-info.txt file in the ROM.zip by adding the S710e model id to it. Then you would copy the ROM.zip to the root of your SD card and rename it PG32IMG.zip and reboot into the bootloader and flash the ROM that way.
nope no s-off thats why i was trying to flash this ROM in the first place....trying to get s-off throught alpharevx

So the Sasktel rom cannot be S-Off?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
i dont know i havnt tried it
i cant because its for S710a and i have a S710e
it wont in most likelyhood because most all ROMs above 2.30 are patched against exploits used by alpharevx and revolutionary
the only way you can gain s-of currently is by XTC clip
has any one reverted back sucessfully from s-off to s-on?

The key is that you need to flash and replace the AlphaRevX/Revolutionary HBOOT with the vivo-downgrade file that is mentioned. Once you have replaced the HBOOT, then you can flash a RUU/ROM and it will replace the HBOOT with an S-OFF version.

Ok from the RUU/ROM page why don't you try to use this one:
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_KT_KR_2.32.1010.1_Radio_20. 2810.30.085AU_3805.06.03.16_M_release_199684_signe d

OK, since you are having issues with your USB connection, then it looks like this is the RUU you need to extract the ROM.zip from:
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_KT_KR_2.21.1010.4_Radio_20. 2805.30.085AU_3805.04.03.27_M_release_194748_signed
Also to get S-ON, you are probably going to have to try flashing the vivo_downgrade.img. You may have to create a PG32IMG.zip file with that img file in it and flash it using FASTBOOT since your USB connection is having issues.
This radio image is extracted from RUU 4.14.405.2
You need to have S-OFF
1.Rename this zip file to PG32IMG.zip
2.Place PG32IMG.zip to SD Card Root
3.Enter HBOOT Mode
4.Update
Download
Image
RADIO_20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.19_M.

That's a known workaround, but many users don't have adb to flash with it.
And since the file named PG32IMG.zip it should be flashable via HBOOT as it said in OP like other radios!!
Those who want to try the adb way, just download the radio zip file from ARHD thread(it's in the first or second post), then overwrite the radio.img in that folder with the one you want and just run the commands as mentioned above or follow the instructions included in the notepad file.

The differences are noted on the Opening Post. mike1986 for the most part has always tried to keep ARHD's look and feel pretty stock although his tweaks simply make Sense very usable.
Already read the post..It say i need new Hboot but my current Hboot is 6.1.3 which mean that i cant flash the rom..
Me too. I'm keeping away from anything that wants me to switch to blackrose hBoot. It's a pity, I like ARHD. Mike, do something, to make /lib a part of root partition, than as a separate partition, as needed by HTC ICS 4.04.

AFAIK that new /lib partition is needed because otherwise / or /system will be too small. So, as I understand it some time you'll have to upgrade hboot or you can't use the latest ROMs...

I just put this file (http://d-h.st/SjY) on an SD-Card & boot into bootloader to flash BlackRose, but I have full S-OFF with XTC-Clip so I'm not sure what other configurations are able do this!

P.S. Removing BlackRose is a different story. I have to use the official binary through windows to command it to uninstall.
