I am noob on android.
I rooted this phone with 4.1.1 and ever that I change something I have to uso param file for the mobile reboot.
I have some problems, I can't wipe the mobile with odyin, because when the mobile reboot it stuck on samsung galaxy words and then I have to use the param for it works, but nothing is deleted.
I have know 4.1.2 and I can't wipe too, even in phone settings, never can't reboot...
I have also this problem, the process android.process.acore has stopped. I have deleted all matched with contact data and keep appear...
Really I don't know how can I solve this, I only want reset to factory but I cant enter in recovery mode... never.
The buttons combination dont work, quickboot not... all reboot stuck on samsung words...
Have solution?
If you rooted it, open Google Play and download an app called Quick Boot. From there you should be able to reboot into recovery.

For factory reset, use this WIPE_I8190 in Odin. Flash as pda.
Good luck.

Have you tried to wipe and reinstall stock firmware without root again?

Another question: Are you sure it's a I8190? Not a i8190L or i8190N?

Not being able to boot to recovery is a well known problem. Some devices just can't. I can't either.
It probably depend on bootloader version.
To get to recovery we have to use adb, or terminal emulator as root.
Flashing new rom won't do any different.

If you are rooted just download Android terminal emulator from play.
Open it and type su and push enter.
You'll get a promt from su-app to grant or deny su.
Grant, and you will get a # in terminal window wich means you got su privliges.
Type reboot recovery & push enter.
Phone will now reboot to recovery.
You'll probably need busybox installed also, if you havn't installed it yet.
ADB..well thats another thing. Try to search XDA. Theres plenty of guides on how to set it up.

What root method did you use?
Any link to that?
Maybe you should ask the one who came up with that method/rom.
Sounds like your partitions is screwed up or you got a bad recovery or something.

I am really hoping someone can be of some assistance to me, today i managed to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root the phone, i then stupidly downloaded and installed a boot animation from ROM Toolbox lite and went to TWRP and tried to flash it, it came up failed, tried to reboot but it only boots into recovery, tried wiping cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, system and format data and still it only boots into recoverywebt to advanced tried to install it said HTC Dumlock is installed but still boots into recovery, tried reflash to recovery abd restore original boot but still it wont boot up as normal, how can i get the phone to just boot up normally does anyone know?
I am such a twat im usually fairly careful when it comes to this type of thing, it'll be a nightmare if i have to pay to leave it into to get done.
Calm flash a custom rom after a full reset and it should work
If you're having issues putting a rom on your device it's possible through adb sideload with the AIO Toolkit

If you do a factory reset, you remove the Rom element so ideally as I previously mentioned flash a new Rom problem solved

Yeah you need to flash a custom rom - you've wiped system so it won't ever boot no matter how many times you try otherwise

Thanks mate can you be a little bit more specific as to how i can put a ROM on the phone as ive never heard of that AIO toolkit?
If you enter CWM recovery, theres an option called install zip from sideload. Press that and then plug it into your PC, and in CMD type
Code:
adb sideload <location of rom.zip on PC>
I use TWRP i assume that has the same adb sideload?
I am downloading Android Revolution now, so if i create a folder on C drive called c:\android then the ROM is the the img i flash when i open a command?

I presume, I've never used TWRP and yeah correct.
OK i am in ADB sideload now when i open a command and type adb sideload i do not know what else to type, i have saved both the boot img and the full zip file (Android Revolution) in the c:\android folder?

see the attached, i aloso tried to drag and drop the boot img to the command window and it wouldnt work, then tried the Android Revolution ZIP and it prompts me to use winrar, wtf am i doinf wrong, all i need to know do i use the boot img or the actual full zip file and i need to know what the exact location to type, i created a folder on c drive called android.
I am in an internet cafe too so i cant stay all day just another hour or so.
thanks
I am gonna have to leave it for now as its doing my head in, i wouldn be grateful if someone could post some specific instructions later and ill attempt it tomorrow, everything appears to be ok when i type cmd then
cd c:\android
adb sideload (what is thew exact name of the file i need to enter)
In the folder 'Android' which you cd'd to, is there adb.exe? And you dont use .img you link to the actual rom zip.

Buddy before anything else could you please put/attach/upload the flashable zip of the bootanimation you got from ROM toolbox?
It is better that we know first what partition it has overwritten so we could distinguish what we need to fix.
I understand that usually the system partition is the culprit but reading from the thread that is all pure guesses. It could be you overwritten a different partition that resulted to this.

next step is to flash recovery.
download from there: http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager/

give it a short name, for example recovery.img and copied in root of sdcard.
after that open terminal (install it if is not) an run following commands:
su
cat /mnt/sdcard/recovery.img >/dev/block/mmcblk0p1
sync
then power off the device and try to get in recovery mode to see if it is all ok.
after that we see to unlock the bootloader.
BTW, i hope you have a Euro Open device...

I forgot to put a ROM on my sdcard before wiping/flashing kernel and my phone won't boot now. How do I get a ROM on there?
If you have a nandroid backup on the phone, resore it. If you don't have a backup, copy the ROM you wanted to install to the phone via 'adb push rom-name.zip /data/media/rom-name.zip' Then flash as described above.
Or easier go to TWRP recovery ---advanced ----- and adb sideload

Send from my awesome 1080p
you have to make sure it is the exact ruu for your device or you will get an error
Try to get into boot loader or recovery. Make sure the phone is under light and try resetting it by pressing power and volume down. The phone can not be in a dark room or this will not work. Then connect your phone to the computer. Navigate on your PC to where you have the Android platform tools. Now hold down SHIFT and right click in this folder where the platform tools are, and select open command prompt here. Type in "ADB devices" with no quotation marks. You should see your phone come up, it will probably be something like "HT something something" this is the serial number of your phone. If you see this continue. Make sure the ROM that you are trying to put on your phone is in the same folder when you held shift and right clicked. Now you need to type "ADB push" followed by the exact name of the ROM that you placed in the same folder as the platform tools. So it should be "ADB push ROM_NAME /sdcard" without the quotation marks. The /sdcard part tells the computer where to place the ROM on your phone. If you are able to do this, reboot into recovery and you should be able to flash the ROM from there. A side note, it could take anywhere from 1 to 5 or 6 minutes to push this ROM to your phone, roms for this phone are big files and they take a while to push in this way.

Open cmd, direct it to your working folder. Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img Not recovery .img.img
What next?

It seems you are still typing the wrong thing. Type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Just copy/paste the above code in your command prompt.
That is just to get the custom recovery TWRP on your phone.
Next download the SuperSU app and you will see a # symbol in your notifications to let you know you need to download the su binaries.
Choose the TWRP option and it will reboot the phone to TWRP recovery.
It may restart after it is done or you will have to press Back and choose Reboot then System. I just did this and I received an error in TWRP. I simply rebooted and SuperSU is working perfect and I have root access.

The custom image worked but ... I do not have a twrp option. I have:
HBOOT <-------- i chose this then recovery and the phone loaded. I then installed supersu and launched it but it said there is no su binary installed, and supersu cannot install it. this is a problem!
if you just upgraded to android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device. <---- I have not upgraded. Please Help
RAMDUMP
REBOOT
REBOOT FASTBOOT <-------- I am guessing it is this one?

No, that will just reboot back into fastboot mode.
You have two options:
1. Press the Power button from that screen you just mentioned and click on the RECOVERY option
2. When you are in the OS type in the code below
Code:
adb reboot recovery

No, it's not stupid. I shouldn't have said it like that. Just turn the phone on, basically. I'm referring to the Android OS where you can use adb.

I've seen that before. It usually means you have more than one adb.exe or it could really just be out of date. HTC Sync Manager and WinDroid both come with their own adb. I got rid of those two and the problem went away.
Type in the command prompt, in the same folder as adb.exe
Code:
adb version
The newest one is 1.0.32, just to rule out you don't have an older version.

Sorry about the hassle. The reason why supersu isn't working is because bellend here has a phone running 4.4.3. How do i go about sorting out that issue?

It's no hassle, I just wanted to point that out to you.
Are you sure it is 4.4.3 or are you referring to an error message? Our phone should be 4.4.2. Even though one of the custom ROMs says 4.4.4.

It is i checked. I followed this guide instead http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/guide-how-to-unlock-install-recovery-t2988292 and i launched it and it said this version is a development build and it ran. Now should it be rooted or is there another step i have to do? I just did root checker and it said that the root has been installed correctly
Thank you all. You have been a great help and i am hugely beyond belief grateful. The root has worked.
I accidentally confirmed installation of SuperSU while trying to exit TWRP (I wish TWRP had an option to disable it) ;[
How do I uninstall it? As I'm unable to boot into my phone anymore((

Does your LG G4 haven't got a key press combination to go to bootloader menu ?
Oooh wait first hit on Google search.
How to Boot into Fastboot Mode on LG G4 with the help of its Hardware Buttons:
First of all, turn off the smartphone.
Then, press and hold the Power and Volume Up keys at the same time for about 6 or 7 seconds.
Plug in the USB cable for your smartphone and connect it to your PC.
Release the keys only when the download mode is being displayed.
Same problem here! Nog able to het Root acces.(su binary not installed), so says Supersu. Probally because cm and Supersu Have a conflict. So how to delete the 'System' Supersu app?

You have to use the clean up option in the app or remove the app manually through terminal or adb shell

How can I remove the app manually? When I open SuperSU, it won't let me open it because SuperSU says something like "cannot install SuperSU" and quits.
