Hello everyone,
I flashed stock N7000XXLSZ rom (German version).
I have noticed there isn't an option to enable shortcuts on lockscreen (the ones you slide on to open when in lockscreen, just to be clear), and news option either, I can only see the weather option.
Not that this is very important for usability, BUT, why doesn't this rom have these features? Is there some way to enable it?
Am i doing something wrong?
By the way, i had LM5 on for 5 minutes and I think to remember that version had these features.
Thanks

Lock screen shortcuts are build into the rom, but they are disabled depending on your country code.

its not there on LSZ as of now.. may be a mod will do it but have to wait
Really frustrating... I had the lockscreen shortcuts when I flashed the deodexed ThaiDai stock rom after a full wipe. Then I removed some apps from the rom and reflashed... they were gone. So I flashed the original rom again after a full wipe... and they're still gone. Ugh... been trying to get them back but no joy so far
But I have lockscreen shortcuts on XLSZ..

Same thing for me here,
I first installed thaidai deodexed, then full wiped and flashed stock german version but no shortcuts.
There must be something we can do!
the lock screen shortcuts people are getting might be the remnants of old rom..
If flash over LM5, even with PC-Odin you will have the shortcuts. As soon as you do a hard reset to clean up left over crap the shortcuts disappears. Perhaps come one can mod the system setting to add the shortcuts options.
may be as mentioned in some other thread.. if you change the csc, you get lock screen shortcuts..

Trying now whit ITV csc code.
There were only few csc codes available though.
EDIT: It works people, I have shortcurts on lockscreen now!
are they customizable or fixed ?
changimg CSC will get lock screen ?
never heard of that , but change CSC will change the country sales code wif some bloatware.
if u think that CSC will make the changes then why not flashing the LM5 CSC ?
answer result is still the same !check it out maybe i'm wrong...
Put BTU on CSC, and you have lockscreen shortcuts

changing csc does change country code and bloatware, but it enables lockscreen shortcuts too.
Maybe German people don't like shortcuts? I don't really know why
I changed CSC in ITV(Italian no Brand) and it worked.
Flashing LM5 won't give the same result because LM5 has only english, chinese and othere asiatic language, not other europen languages.

Have tried a quick search, but got no specific answers.
I prefer the SGS's stock lockscreen over the android version, and wondered if there was a quick way to reinstalling thislock screen in a custom ROM - I'm currently using Doc's ROM.
If there isn't a quick method, thanks in advance for any help with other threads/links etc.
I believe the Samsung Stock lockscreen is still present on every Custom Rom,
go to Settings > Display > Unlock Screen then choose Samsung Unlock.
That's it you have the stock lockscreen activated, hope that helps.
Ooops, hadn't even thought of checking there...Just assumed the android lockscreen "overwrote" the samsung one.
Lesson learnt -assume nothing..
Sorry - one of many senior moments I seem to be having today.
Many thanks!
Lock screens depends on your theme, all themes should have it though

mate only you can change the dropdown menu is to get the LA4 or other cooked roms...
for the bottom shortcuts, you can use other launcher like launcher pro, ADW, GO launcher, and many more that will suit your needs...
thanks.
How abt rearranging the icons?eg application in the middle..
So to make change to a rom that is not the same fw as yr current rom's,i can either flash via CWM or mobile odin right?

You cant change notification short cut in Stock ROM, but sure you can edit bottom(dock) icons
Open application - Press menu button - edit
Now you can long press - n move desired icon from n to
Home/application icon is static, it can't change. rest of you can.
thanks for the replies
one more qn...now i am on KL1 and am interested in getting a custom rom with different fw..Checkrom on LA4.can i just go ahead and flash the zip on cwm or must i dl a LA4 rom or a custom kernel first?
If you are having CWM, then flash custom ROM with it.
This was a mod of stock XXCLK7 ROM that enable Tablet UI in Jelly Bean.
I've made some changes in stock TabletUI graphics because of not optimal display in TAB2 7.
Here are list of features:
- ability to display quick button only in landscape mode (added option in settings to hide the button in portrait)
- adjusted miniapps icon in portrait mode
- modified Notification panel in landscape mode (no more off-screen and wider)
- moved settings from item of notification-panel menu's to title of navigation-panel (wast of space)
- smaller width of navigation-bar button's in portrait mode
- i don't remember

Could you please elaborate what and how did you that? I'd like to make this for P3100 XXCLL2 also
Cheers!
Good mod :good: By the way works with my vodafone firmware too.
Two questions:
1) How did you changed width of landscape notification bar? It is too wide for me I guess, that it is not in dex, what xml files did you edit?
2) Is there any way to disable moves of status bar icons? I mean, that miniapplications button in no more in center. It takes place of screenshot button, if it is - moves to position of the menu button.
Can you make mod with changes only in notification bar(but with stock width for landscape)? Thank you again
Strange it works for me!

1) I added in dimens.xml on values-sw720dp-port the item "notification_panel_width" for portrait, the landscape is readed from values-sw720dp. If you change this values you can build an personalized version. Finally i have changed TabletStatusBar.smali to force update size when the configuration change.
2) The miniapps button was placed by samsung statically in the center of the bar, so it can overlap on a icon (if there is an icon in the center). So i placed next to the last button. With the modified width of button the problem can be resolved bu i've not tried. You can try to reposition on center, simply change position and proprierties of Imageview id "traybar_handler" in "tw_system_bar.xml" such as in original SystemUI (At least you can add some margin to accomplish the best result)
Happy New Year!
I want to ask one more thing - how did you move settings button to title of notification panel? I'm trying to compare files of mod and original and can't find anything. And, as additional problems, systemui.apk from your firmware and from my vodafone are almost completely different. Maybe it gives some problems with displaying and crushing it in my firmware...

I simple hided the settings item (@id/settings) from tw_system_bar_notification_panel.xml and then added an ImageView with the same ID in tw_system_bar_notification_panel_title.xml.
If you want to look at original XXCLK7 SystemUI you can download from here.
Hi, I tried the deodex versions on my kwbr expresso rom.
TabletUI cant be flashed, cwm says bad zip. Downloaded both from main dl link & mirror. Both has zip error.
Was able to flash Restore phabletUI, messed up my Apex screen, lost the uper and lower margins. Crashed but came back. Reverting to the older version for kwbr rom. Thanks anyway.

It's a common problem you can fix it, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35402926&postcount=32
I first flashed the latest Tablet UI from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032941
Got stuck at boot logo. Tried installing Phablet restore, still stuck. Then tried Tablet UI in this new mod thread, still stuck at Samsung boot logo. Running stock CLK7, no modifications other than root. Any ideas? I'd like to fix this without a full wipe if possible.

You can reflash clk7 stock firmware to restore it without full wipe, but what is the first mod that you have installed?
Will this work on P3113 XXCLK7 ?

I tried looking for a stock CLK7 firmware image, couldn't find one though. I've taken a nandroid of the broken state (kicking myself for not doing so before flashing mods) and gone to AOKP for now. Actually quite a nice rom, but no IR support is a bummer, since it's one reason I chose this over the Nexus 7. Wondering if this broke because I wasn't de-odexed first, but I thought this mod was specifically built to apply to the stock rom. I have a P3113, fyi.
The first mod I flashed, as I mentioned, was the most recent version of your tablet UI fix from the old thread here. That is, unless you count the method I used to root, which I got from here.
I'm wondering if I'd have to go back to the original ICS image, re-upgrade to CLK7 through Kies, and then restore just the data partition from the nandroid backup. Assuming that only files under the system partition were changed by this mod, I would think that would work, but I'm clearly no expert on this.
Sorry - New at This
Hello,
I apologize that I am new at this and this is probably a dumb question. I've never rooted or flashed any of my Android devices, but with the new interface they pushed to 7' tablets with Jelly Bean, they have forced me to learn. I hate it.
I really have tried to look, but haven't found what I am looking for so I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Is there a step by step guide on how to do this somewhere? I'm a computer tech, so I am sure with a basic guide I could figure it out. I just don't know enough about the process and I am afraid of messing my tablet up if I just wing it...
Thanks,
epgen, hello again Trying to make such mod for russian 4.1.2 firmware, already succsseded in odexing(script not worked too, odexed through manual commands in adb-shell in CWM) and modifying files, but I have one question: clock with upper part of notification panel in landscape easily goes off-screen even when 2-3 notifications available. Have you fixed it? If so - can you say how? Thank you
who can tell me ??
how to make a stock lockscreen in any ROM?
I really want to know
Which developer can tell me what to do?
thank you very much !!!
sorry for my bad english
depending upon your ROM and system framework..!
some stock lock screen available in patch form,to individual ROM
and some ROM has owned stock Lock screen eg: GingerKC,debrandengin, altis.!
Look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1954817
Maybe it isn't real semc lockscreen but is the best what you can get on custom rom.

Will we be able to get lock screen widgets with any of the ROMs? Or since the ROMs have to be based on TouchWiz, does that mean we're stuck with basically just themed roms? None of the ones out yet seem interesting, they all just look stock. I'm looking for a rom with custom battery icons, new features, lockscreen widgets, etc. Really missing my Samsung Galaxy S3 with the lack of customization available for the S5.

Check out ninjamorph(in the playstore). I just found it a few days ago u can theme the heck out of your phone with it. Once you get the hang of it it's a breeze. However you do have to have your own icons to swap out or just edit the ones that are there. Here's my power menu themed with ninjamorph

ok, tested and working on my device based off of G900F OEM, this mod should work for all variants. let me know how it goes
copy to sdcard, reboot to SS Recovery and flash, then reboot.
to add or change widgets swipe left or right on the lockscreen

This "Should" work with stock as well as any custom ROM, (I say should because as a mod it is independant of any other requirements) but make sure you flash through SafeStrap recovery make a backup first just to be safe.

Gave it a try but no bueno with the stock ROM. After flashing the zip and rebooting, I lost the lockscreen and hardware menu and home buttons entirely, only the back button was working. Restoring my backup now -- tonight I'll try flashing your ROM and then install the lockscreen widgets.
Wanted to update this thread in case anyone else wanted Lockscreen Widgets back - I installed SafeStrap and the KoolKit ROM then flashed the zip file and I have LockScreen widgets again. Huge thank you to @cstayton for coming up with a solution so quickly!
You can also use Xposed instead of flashing SafeStrap to get Lockscreen Widgets...

xPosed has lots of modules for all sorts of different things HOWEVER, xPosed also causes some very abhorent behavior in custom roms and can cause bad behavior even in stock rooted devices most devs shy away from xPosed in favor of hard coded mods. if the module works fine for then great but if you have issues like private mode not working serious lag on your device or other problems try using the hard coded mods with a custom rom
