i changed the acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=700000
to 650000
with your settings of 700000 i couldn't get further then entering PIN, which i couldn't do, because the phone was not responding
now when i boot at 650000, i get a lot of services stopped unexpectedly, i'm going to try to lower to 600000, then i'll post here again
edit: 610000 gives only two services errors
edit: still getting errors, even with acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=580000
android.process.acore & com.google.process.gapps are crashing

hey electrified there is no problem with the frequency at all .. i've installed it more than 40 times with 700000 ... i'm using android overclocked to 700000 for about 1 month ...
did you made all the steps wrote above .. making ext2 partition ?!!!

please keep in mind that not every phone is 100% identical. looks like you are the lucky one with the stable phone @700... but that means not that every X1 will such stable at this frequency

i think it's not like that ...
there are other persons working with it with 700000 ...
if the problem with frequency it'll start the haret loader then stop and give no response at the end of loading ... but when it shows this window that means there are a command line in the startup.txt to start something that isn't exist ...
like ( set initrd initrd.gz ) while there is no initrd.gz ...
BTW try it yourself starting with creating ext2 partition then installation then run haret.exe ...
i have tested it one hour ago and for me everything just worked fine, till s1 call me and my phone restarted then...
but i had music-player on, wifi, opera, and was installing something from market, so maybe it was to much for the x1 ^^

yes some testers told me about this crach it was due to data connection ..
i've fixed it and uploading now ..
also changed animations to better one

? i thought we talk about electrified??? as he stated he come to the pin-question... so i think the heavy overclocking could be the root of the crashes!

firstly i'm really thankful for your effort .. but am sure that this pin-question can't be related to frequency at all ... !!!
to make sure of my words .. just take any build you are used to treat with ..
and overclock the startup to 750000 or some thing like that ,,, it will only crash before starting linux boot system ...
very good job. this is fastest build I have ever tried. cool animations and eye candy presentation.
about booting problems with 700 mhz. i had same problem first time. but i think that was a bad instalation.
coz i just reinstalled everything (no need to format SD) and second time android boot without any problems.
and remember guys, if you using WiMoSpeed to overclock X1, set standard speed (528 Mzh) before runing haret.exe to avoid crash.

no it needs to create .ext2 partition firstly ..

you can use HD2 Android Launcher 4.0, works fine on x1. its create nice icon in start menu so you can launch Android in one click

I have one very strange question.
What happens when overclocking is set too high?

Because i am a new member i can not post my question directly in the cyanogenmod 7.2.0 rc4 thread.
I installed the rom on my mini. Everything went fine.
In cyanogen setting there is an option to change the look of the in german it is called Sperrbildschirm (engl. Lockscreen). If i select it i get an errormessage

reboot to recovery and clear cache and wipe data. then reflash the rom again.it should be working now.
i already did that twice as i mentioned.
i solved the problem.
i changed the phone language to english and "tada" the style options from lockscreen settings are there. i change the lockscreen and incoming call style as i personaly wanted. everthing is fine for the moment.
strange thing by the way is, after changing the phone language back to german, the lockscreen settings are now there. no more error message.
but there is maybe another bug i found by this way. in phone language english at the lockscreen style option there is an option called random (ger. zufällig).
in german phone language the point zufällig (engl. random) is not there at all.
there is only visible
- sliding tab (Schieber)
- rotary (Rad)
- rotary revamped (Rad umgestaltet)
- lense (Linse)
- ring (Blasen)
option random is missing totaly.

Rom => The Last Archos ICS Firmware 4.0.7 - Root version - based on Stock Archos ICS Firmware 4.0.7 !
Upadte 16-07-2012 - to fix some touchscreen issue ( not solved - seems to be also in Official Archos Firmware !)
This Rom should be work for all Archos G9 ....but you need activate SDE menu !
In this Rom original files have not been modified, only was added "su" , "Superuser.apk" !
All improvements to the original Firmware 4.0.7 , you can also find in this Root version .

- archos.ext4 in archive : archos_407.zip

Installation :
- copy archos.ext4 into Internal Storage ( /mnt/storage )
[*]- reboot into SDE menu and under Developer Edition Menu ,( remove Android Kernel if available) than Flash Kernel and Initramfs : copy zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo on the new driver that appears on desktop/laptop ;
[*]- ok ! and wait for reboot your devices : after reboot you can see Android update system for a while .....be patient !
In this Rom we do not have custom "bootanimation" , no extra apps added , anything else in addition to original !!!

Thanks for this Surdu. Can confirm that both the Archos stock and this ROM are compatible with GPS now (I get instant locks). I am a happy man.
BTW, is the kernal you included all the G9 to overclock? I have a 4460 and am getting quadrant score of 1781 with a max and min @ 1.2 GHz (Performance Governor).

My Galaxy Note N7000 XEF (France) have big battery bugs.
I tried to flash CWM in order to install CM11, but it said : This is for GT-N7000 devices only, and your device is «».
So I've downloaded Stock ROM (after 9^999999 hours of search on the net), I've flashed it and this is the same !
(I've, of course, done data wipes before the processes)
Is there someone to help me ?
PS : If you dont want to search on the net and to wait 3 hours to download it, download it directly from my Dropbox : I CANT POST THE LINK YET (because of new member 10 posts requirement) (put a 1 at the end for a direct download)
I've found the reason !
My battery was dead. And stock firmware is bad so i've flashed cm11 on it.
