Hi!
I have tried more then 5 diffrent windows vista and windows 7 computers no windows computer is recognizing or detecting the phone, but imac 27 is detecting the phone every time i connect it to the computer. the phone is rooted and clockworkmode is installed with recovery.
Android-Version
4.0.3
HTC Sense-Version
3.6
What exactly is Not Detected ?
Your SD Card or the Phone itself. Check Your Device Manager, if the driver is missing. If its like that: install htc sync including all the drivers in the package. Then uninstall htc sync and you should bei fine after a reboot of Your PC.
If it is the other way around and you mean htc sync: Your Phone will not be recognized by htc sync as long as your bootloader is unlocked and you are using a Custom Rom.

Cant be the cable.if iMac isn't working:/ try killing the adb server via 'adb kill-server' and then running 'adb devices' if it picks it up you should be fine, if not, the Rom you are running might not have its own hardware drivers installed properly!

this is what i tried so far:

android sdk usb drivers
tethering drivers
androis usb drivers found online. (google)
all of these did not work for me, i have windows7 and 32bit
can anyone please tell me what i am doing wrong thanks.
if you have a solution please post the linkk or the drivers thanks
It's the drivers that are installed when you install HTC sync that you need
Perhaps try installing and trying to use on an alternate PC just to rule out a PC problem, could also try a differing led in case that's the issue

When I try to install the drivers for my Vivid, (or One X), the driver, "My HTC", shows up in computer manager with an exclamation point by it stating the driver is unsigned. I have tried doing it manually, or letting HTC sync and sync manager do it. I haven't had any success, and want to root my Vivid badly. Can anybody help?

When you are in fastboot does it show "fastboot usb"?

Make sure that you have the drivers installed on your computer, and that the HTC Sync client is NOT running. When your phone is in fastboot, make sure it says FASTBOOT USB when plugged in. Otherwise, that identifies a connection issue (like not having the drivers installed, or a bum USB port or some such).
Also, for troubleshooting purposes, make sure you're plugged directly into a USB port, and not through a hub or extension.

Hey Community!!
So i have been rooted/romed for a little while on my HTC Desire C for a while, but i saw it was time to update nameless ROM.
I installed the ROM but got wifi issues so i knew instantly that the kernel was incorrect for the ROM so i proceeded to try to install.
Anyways went to install HTC Sync and the drivers didnt install, i cant use any ADB commands that link with my phone such as reboot-bootloader and fastboot commands.
Any ideas guys i asked HTC and they sent me a PDF which didnt work got same errors as before.. HELP!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!
Hi had this problem with mine HTC sync is useless lol You'll need to download the USB drivers from the android SDK then force install them in device manager.Just go to device manager update driver then direct it to where you downloaded them. You'll need to do it 3 times for debug, bootloader and fastboot.

I tried installing via Device Manager, my updater cannot find the drivers for it, my PC thinks its Android 1.0 lol
When you click update click let me choose from a list of devices instead and you should see android listed click it. If not go to have disk and point to the drivers and three drivers should show up install the one for the mode your in. Windows will prob warn you about it not being for your device but just ok it and it should work.
