Htc ROM kitchen supports our ATRIX devices (still in beta and unconfirmed if it is 100% working).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Hopefully this will help flow in some new ROMs!
KNOWN BUGS:
Porting tools
Apps to sd
please post any more known bugs for our device
Quote from original thread:
"Who is this kitchen for?
Those who are brand new to creating custom ROMs and want an easy place to start learning
Those who just want to modify shipped ROMs or someone else's custom ROMs to their liking
Those who are confused by all those scripts and complex commands required for building and extracting
This is NOT a tool to automatically turn you into a full-fledged ROM developer. ROM development normally involves work from the ground up and involves time, research and patience. I am just giving the tools to help the average person get things done quickly from an existing
base."

I will post link to original forum when I get home.
To Mr Clown: I was at a tossup as to whether or not this was general or dev section material. If Mods feel this should be moved by all means, please move.

So if we took Ken's GB ROM, we could create our own custom one from it?
I tried to use it and flash on orangefr and it didn't work for some reason. I used a battery mod and icons and uot said it was good with no errors. Not sure why

yes, it does require some knowledge of how everything works. From everything I have read, the answer you seek is yes!!!
I still am not sure if everything is working 100% as the atrix update for it is still in beta.
You need to know how to edit updater-scripts to. As this kitchen doesn't modify it properly

Thanks for clarifying this I am still messing around with it at the moment learning how it works. I just thought this might be useful to the community. I will also PM the dev to see what can be done to create a patch. But I will need some help as I do not know much Java coding.
i Love HTC rom ^^
I will try this latter of setember =)...

All you have to do there is use updater script from the ROM you use with the kitchen, e.g. if you use KP's 4.5.91 just use update script from it.
Beamed from WinBorg 4G via XDA Premium

Yes we know that. But when using a system.img say the french one. when kitchen unpacks it the update-script id made. Then ask kitchen to convert to updater-script as this is only supported by cwm there is errors and rom won't boot

Thanks for the tips and the source code. I hope we can get some Devs on this as I am completely clueless as to how to make this work 100%. I also tried to PM the creator but he is not accepting pm's. I will update the OP.

Hey guys.. I start this thread to see where do you know all what you know about phone developing... Maybe that's your passion? Maybe you learn all from school? Or by internet? I'm young (15 years old) and i like all rom for our ace, I'm really surprised for what some dev are doing (like Maclaw, but not only) and i like mobile world in general .. I'd like to become a dev... For now what i can do is modify some Rom managing on their zip and add or remove app.. Odin, how to root and install recovery and Rom is easy for me..
Hope you could help me
And sorry for my English, I'm Italian...

I've running my own rom, and hi got some mods of my own, some theming from other members, my own tweaks, and its been a great adventure and i only own an android since November and i am no genius or great developer, but i am really curious, and I'm only five year older than u!
All u have to do is search, ask, and LEARN

Unbelievable. It really got released.

LG usually is pretty fast with the kernel source, the previous source code drops happened after 1-4 business days.

Dont post the same question more that once, creating 3 threads asking the same question, just because you did not get the answer you want, is not the correct way to go about it. No i have closed your other two threads, please concider this a warning.

FIRST OF ALL HELLO TO ALL DEVELOPERS
I have opened this thread to request developers specially who compile or port cm9 ics roms
i would be happy if someone from you can make AOKP ICS ROM
imagine a fast stable aokp ics combination speed of ics and customisation of aokp
i am asking for aokp ics cos jellybean aokp is present but is too heavy and show lags
so please if anyone interested then please try to make it
MY SPECIAL REQUEST FOR THIS TASK TO SOME PEOPLE
1 SKY_WALKER
2 OLDDROID
GOOD LUCK :good::good: AND THANKS IN ADVANCE
To clear things up, please don't open threads asking for development of ROM's. If you really want a new ROM you can PM a Dev. Second, please don't demand things. The guys who create these ROM's also have lives of their own and it takes a lot of effort to create these ROM's.
If you think there are some lags or other bugs in a current ROM, just report it in the ROM thread. It may help you.
Hope I make things clear. TY

is it fine i mean is it stable and performant and is the ram consumption not very high
As far as I remember it was rock stable, customisable to the bone, and the ram consumption was like, for example, like Maclaws CM9.

even though thanks for advice
CM9 & up aren't remotely supposed to perform as great as stock. Bcoz they weren't meant to be running on ace at the first place. It was our awesome devs that even built 4.3 for us. So if you are using them, just don't complain, use it the way they are. Especially on an armv6 800MHZ qualcomm device.:screwy:
