[Q] Galaxy S doesn't boot!!!!! :'(

I was running Android 4.0 ICS custom rom on my Galaxy S I9000 (international version), and everything was okay.today, I turned it off, and then I tried to turn it on again normally, but it kept showing the vivd colors screen without continuing. I remembered that the same problem occurred with me before on 2.3.3, and the solution was a simple odin-flashing of just one file. The problem now is that I couldn't remember which exactly of the 4 files in odin this one is (it's the one responsible for mounting the sdcard), and I connected my device while in downloading mode and recklessly flashed only PIT file (with other fields empty). Now the device doesn't boot at all, as if there is no source of energy within. Can the Company's customer support here fix it anyway or is this its end?!!!!!!

Remove te battery and put it back in. With the 3 button combo go to download mode and flash a 3 file firmware.

Try to boot in download mode (vol down + Home + Power) and flash CWM again!

[Q] Galaxy Ace S5830C - cant acess download mode

I read some tutorials here in the forum on how to root your phone! I was able to successfully perform. Until that point, my phone was still booting android 2.3.3 (ginger) that came from the factory.
Then I went into recovery mode and installed 5.0.2.6 ClockworkMod! Installed successfully too! Then I tried to install some roms modified for the S5830I, as read on the internet that the roms of them are compatible with the S5830C.
I tried the first version of the ICS lite and basic, the two images, when installed by clockwork gave no error messages in the terminal, but when you restart the machine could not boot the system.
I installed and booted each version of the ICS modificias separately. I tried other roms. gave some errors "gep.prop" because of non-compatibility with my model. In the end, tried to use the method with ODIN, but my phone can not boot the mod download! Yes, I tried all the tutorials!
I know I need to press the home button, power, volume down (...) I tried to use the ADB "adb reboot download", and also got no answer!! So ODIN does not detect my phone! Percebir also that the recovery mode always resets to a version e3 (I think it is the factory default recory) with this recovery can not seem to wipe the cache or data.
Really broke my phone? Why the hell i can get a good status of installation with the roms but can not boot them?

Yes you did break your phone, unless you try this last trick:
take out your battery
wait until your phone is completly uncharged internally (an hour or so)
go to a hot place like a radiator or somthing like that
do the "download mode trick" with the battery still out
put the battery in while still holding the buttons
repeate if it doesnt work
when you get the downloadmode, you are a lucky person. the rest you seem to know how it works... simply flash a new rom

or if you install clockwordmodace.zip, it will brick your galaxy ace..
first download odin 1.85

instructions:
1. run odin,( run as administrator) right click on the exe file and choose run as administrator
2. while you device is off, plug your usb connector to your computer
3. hold volume up + volume down + power at the same time, wait for the battery charging logo appears, then wait for the battery logo disappear then unpress power botton then your phone will go into download mode and will be recognize by odin..
if Odin already recognize your device click on PDA and insert the PDA file you downloaded. then click start. dont change the setting in odin.
after that you successfully bring back life to your brick samsung galaxy ace.
Note: make sure you already installed samsung kies on your computer for USB issues. this will help your device to be recognize by odin.
Hope this will help you guys.. i already tested this procedure.

REPLY:- the phone does get detected but once i open odin 4.38 n inser the ops n pacage file n den click start it says cant open serial com port.. wats tht suppose to mean?

i'm trying to flash my galaxy ace gt s 5830....but i'm not able to get the mobile in download mode...
when i'm tryimg to get it in download mode by pressing vol down =+menu+power keys it getting black screen and displying wors like thik ' Downloading........'
can anyone help me plzzzzz

[Q] Galaxy Ace s5830i become unresponsive

Suffering with a BIGGEST PROBLEM, I never thought of (on my Galaxy ace s5830i)
Two days back, I bymistake downloaded and installed one of ROM of s5830 on my s5830i
Installation showed successfull on CWM... but after rebooting, No display on screen and since then it hasn't displayed anything till now...
> So display is blank - No Logo, No boot, does nothing...
> Power button - doesn't do anything
> Home + Pwr + Vol Up Buttons for going to CWM - doesn't work
> Connecting USB to PC and pressing Pwr + Home + Vol Up + Vol Dwn button for 10 sec - shows hardware is connected on PC (But no display on Phone)
> Odin3 (v1.84) and flashing it's firmware stops at message 'SetupConnection...' (See screenshot is attached)

Dont worry..Since download mode is working.Try again use different pc or different usb port.It should work. Refer the unbrick tutorial in dev section

Still, not able to flash files ...

But nothing worked, every time the process stops at 'SetupConnection..' & the phone is like dark blank dead screen, nothing to display.
Even Unbricking process also stopped at this error.
Any other idea for different method for flashing the files?

Odin detects your phone but your phone is not in downloading mode therefore no rom is currently flashing. Go to Downloading Mode by VOLUP + VOLDOWN + POWER and then connect to odin and flash stock firmware. If you can't go in download mode trying everything. Then the only methods left are USB JIG and JTAG Method for which you'll have to take the phone to service center

[Q] any firmware works Samsung galaxy mini

Hi everybody!
I've a Samsung galaxy mini. I tried to recovery when I did a soft brick. But now, any firmware that I have downloaded work. I have tried with 10 diferents firmware from sammobilet but nothing. I can open the download mode and Odin Multidownloader can recognize my device.
When I charge and new firmware the mobile try to start but always it is the same situation with display saying SAMSUNG SAMSUNG.
I don't know what I can do.
Please Help!

you will need to flash a four package firmware
what it means is pda phone modem csc all must be filled with relevant file
flash the firmware
let it boot
it will go into recovery and will do some processing
and in no time you would be at your homescreen

boot into recovery (turn phone off then hold down middle button and power) then clear cache and data... reboot and see if that works.

I cann't go into the recovery mode just into download mode....

I have tried over this two ways and with the same result. On the other hand, I tried to entry into recovery mode and doesn't work.
And my final test was downloaned clock mod recovery and any positive result

[Q] Soft Bricked Mini2?... Help plz

Hi guys, so i got a new Mini2, and... messed with it, pulled a firmware version from a dif zone by mistake... after i had cwm jena and clockworkz working, installed that asian firmware, and never got the phone to work again, tried several stock rom installs (17 and counting, with/without jena firmware download also), it just keeps doing the boot loop, and i can't access the Recovery menu (vol +/- home power buttons at start).
I've been reading all the meaningful threads here, tried doing button combination with battery, without and nothing seems to work.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Take it to samsung service senter if u got warranty and if isnt try to use another mini 2 battery but I think it may not work and try to press all butoms at same time for 2min and if nothing work buy or make a JTag

go to download mode and don't accept terms (up volume) and quick hold recovery combination when it will start to reboot (ofc when samsung logo will appear don't hold keys). Try few times and it will work, if not 1st then another time. Do factory restet, reboot phone and take off battery. Turn on in download mode and install MD1 XEO stock and do again factory reset using trick from above (go to download mode and don't accept terms (up volume) and quick hold recovery combination when it will start to reboot.)

You sir... you are my new hero! key trick is pressing the recovery combination quick before logo appears and ... guess what i was holding the damn buttons so hard i was thinking they'd eventually lose pressure

2. no matter what stock firmware I flash using odin I get bootloop
I tried the trick to go download mode > reject codition and then press the recovery mode combination but did not work
I wonder if there is a Cyanogen firmware in tar.md5 format so I can flash with odin ?

Did flash a incompatible kernel? Try flashing stock kernel, recovery adn ROM.
