Missed letters with accent in the kyeboard!

After many trials, I found that the keypad from Diamond on the Kaiser is the best solution for using T9 and XT9
With this I have a fair area for touching with thumbs and the phisical keyboard is working too, despite other keypads from HTC that on the Tytn II caused some keys to not work anymore in the physical keyboard
I couldn't sort out the problem of loosing the functionality of the sequence "letter" plus "fn" plus "blank" that in origin took to get the letter with accent. For example "a" plus "fn" plus "blank" could get "à"
Any solution for this?
I tryed disabling XT9 but no way. Installing the Diamond KeyPad I loose this functionality... and getting letters with accent from the symbols list is far more unconvenient!

Sorry I don't have a solution for you but I am curious as to how this fn+blank shortcut works. What rom are you running? I'm not sure what the 'blank' is you're talking about... I tried the space bar but that didn't work.. can you explain please?

hehe, try to learn the slovak language, its the hardest language to learn.
U should be happy that u dont need theese letters.

remap Hardkeys not working !

Hello, me again,
is there any possibility to use all the hardkeys on the diamond ?
In the settings, keys, there is only button 1 (hold) shown, nothing else.
I tried several hardreset up to now, i tried not to install touchflo i tried abbuttonplus. Every time the same, only ONE button is customizable !
Is this due to HTC branded the windows mob6 ?

Try AE Button Plus

as i wrote i already tried AEbuttonplus and i can see only the same one button its button 1 (hold). I think its locked by HTC. It is the O2 XDA ! Has anyone else the same problem? Is it possible that the only way is to flash another rom ?

AE button plus doesn't changer the default mode of setting buttons.
It has its own settings dialog. It worked for me.
Read instructions!!!

Does HButton 2.3 also work ... anyone tried that?

I cant understand that nobody has the same problem?
Is the fact that i cant use MY OWN BOUGHT buttons as i want it, to normal for anybody ?

It is not solved for me.
All I want is for my HOME button to bring up the Start Menu. This was easy to do in the pocket pcs I used to own. Surely there must be a way to do this on the Diamond?

Finger friendly Keyboard

Hello Guys,
Can anyone suggest me best finger friendly keyboard for HTC touch viva. I have tried FingerKeyboard2.1 but it didn't support my device.

FingkeyKeyboard 2.1 works great on my touch viva. have you installed the version specifically for QVGA devices?

FingerKeyb-2.1-QVGA-arrows-Giannis86.cab [same as above but with arrows. takes up more screen real estate]

has anyone been having an issue with finger keyboard? ive tried installing it and its the best keypad ever, but after a while, there's a bug which i dont know why it happens. somehow the keyboard doesnt appear when i try to reply to a message or compose a message. so i cant type in anything coz none of the keyboards are already avaialable. so i have to uninstall the app and restart my phone.
why does this happen?

happened twice to me. i just soft reset the device and its back to normal. what sms prog are u using? the default one?

Hey chaitu18, I'd suggest u try out 'ExIdeas MessagEase', its not basically a keyboard based software, but i bet dat u dont want any other "Finger friendly Keyboard" once u get used to this... hope this helped

If u dont use ur keyboard, download whats called "nullKB". I never use my screens keyboard so I always use the nullKB. It takes the keyboard totally off the screen so it never gets in the way. Also u can do as the afore mentioned and change the keyboard to another keyboard. Its most likely an issue with the ROM u have and the issues changing from Windows 6.1 to 6.5

is it possible to add a normal abc def etc. keyboard to xperia, like the one used for typing the pin? or any other
this would be perfect , because all qwer keypads are a lil bit too small for my fingers, and if i have bigger buttons i would really appreciate it, dont like to usw the bad hardware keyboard or the stylus

you should clean your hardware keyboard if it feel buggy!probably its too dirty
