Guys, i know that this is very hard long work, but i`m just wondering, what do you think, does somebody working on it or not ? To take a patience and to wait, or to unlock BL and get root today ? To wait is no problem, i understand that this is not so easy at all, but if noone working on it, so this rooting method we won`t get soon.
AW: Root for locked BL ?
And another duplicate thread. I should become mod to close all these...
I'm also waiting, cause I'm not able to unlock the bootloader.
My carrier A1 (austria) didn't gave me an answer Hope that someone will make root.

hi @all,
i bought a locked g1 on ebay. it will arrive next week.
i am going to flash a jachero on it and root it and stuff.
do i have to care about unlocking it or is that solved by flashing?
is it appropriate to ask if there are other ways to unlock it than buy an unlock-code on those commercial sites?
has anyone experiences with getting a code directly from tmobile? the device was in use for 3 month so maybe there is a semi-official way...
thanks in advance

Hey everybody,
I am on official JB and want to root. Will there be a method at some point to root it without unlocking the bootloader? What do the experts think - I know you cant look into the future, but what are your experiences from other phones, is it very likely that there will be sth. or not?
The other method would be to unlock the bootloader. So do you expect that the bootloader logo can be exchanged again at some point?
Thanks
Thorsten
Sooo, when do you guys think there will be root for locked bootloaders? Without the need to unlock bootloader or downgrading, just simple rooting. Is anyone working on it at all?

Just be patient - there are many threads like this - so keep it cool - wait it out - and be grateful for that what you already have

Hello, I want to root my new Xperia Z3 Compact just to uninstall the carrier's bloatware. It came with 23.1.A.1.28 (i exchanged it for a new galaxy alpha, it was bought at the beginning of June ).
Rooting status says : Bootloader unlock allowed : No.
I don't even want to try to unlock it. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware with locked bootloader?
Will i lose anything? If possible, I'd really like to have a complete guide on both downgrading, rooting and upgrading back.
Thanks.
Hm, that's weird, I've checked "Search" and it's working just fine. Use search or check sticky next time.

sorry and thank you, i did actually try searching for it but i was overwhelmed by what came up and lot's of it lead to guides containing unlocking the bootloader and i'm not really confident tinkering with android much
U can root with downgrade method. But thats all since u cannot unlock ur bootloader. If u follow the posted guide u should get it. Have done it with the guide without unlocking
great, I was kind of confused, I thought i need to unlock the bootloader to flash anything, including the downgrade
