[Q] Radio latency - LG Revolution

I've noticed about a 60% increase in my data latency on zv7 and zv9 coming from froyo. ping times in games used to be around 80ms now they are 130+ to the same servers. I'm not really sure how LTE traffic is routed, but could a different sim card be responsible?
anyone else notice different latency between firmware versions?

[Q] Speed testing

Increasing speed input/output.
So yesterday, I was out and about, and did a speed test. 3 bars, and I was at 6mps in, and 4.5mps, up. At home, with 4 bars I was at 5.1mps in, and 4.3 up. Even my wifi is terrible. Is there anyway to improve on this? Or is it just the cell towers?
Make sure you aren't testing on an overloaded server. That slows speeds down lot. Also tests done indoors tend to be slower as well
Different servers equal different results.
I've been getting huge differences in results depending on the server. I've noticed some abnormally high speed tests while in 5 bar coverage.
Eventhough a server is further away, it might give you a faster speed.
I would also test your speeds with a browser that can view pages in desktop mode, Dolphin/Opera.
Another way to test it would be to tether to your PC or Mac and do a speedtest on speedtest.net and speakeasy. Until I tried a server other than my hometown my speeds were never higher than 3.5Mbps.
There is also another thread in here that talks about a perceived speed increase caused by the OTA Update that was recently pushed.

Download Speed Fluctuates

I'm not sure what the situation is, I've tried different radios but it seems like my download speed fluctuates from 100 kbps to 3 mbps downspeed but upload stays at a constant 1 mbps.
Radio is 20.2811.30.085AU_3805.09.03.27_M
Kernel 2.6.35.14-UNITY-V9
ROM Virtuous Unity v2.39.0
Anyone get the same thing? It's weird wifi works perfectly fine.
Data speeds vary depending on a few factors:
1. Your radio.
2. People transferring data on the same network/tower as you
3. Your signal strength.
4. Applications running data transfers in the b/g
5. Bandwidth limitations of the websites servers your downloading from.
6. Many more randoms (weather, website traffic, interference)
As for your upload speed your carrier has a cap on that so your not being data whore.
I should have been a little more specific with my situation
I'll run multiple speed tests with speedtest.net and one may come out at 1 mbps another will come out at 300~ kpbs and another will come out 3 mpbs. I honestly find it hard to believe bandwidth available within the network can fluctuate so quickly. My signal strength is full bars constant, no applications are running in the background when running the speedtest. I'm supposing it could be my radio that's going bad? I'm not sure :X Trying to update to the radio Radio 20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M ran it through bootloader and it gets to parsing the file but after that nothing. Any ideas? I've edited the text file to fit my bell incredible s and I'm on eng s off. Hmm...
Trust me data will go up and down like crazy.

[Q] Poor Speed on WiFi networks, YouTube and other apps

My wife and I both have the HTC one and love it, however our WiFi speeds are atrocious. Our laptop will hit 35+ mbps and our phones rarely peak 6-8 mbps. YouTube, hulu, and anything else data intensive is useless. Our isp has been out, everything is fine, att said it's an isp issue, so no help there. However I loaded up viper 1 rom last night and I only see a marginal increase on speeds. Is there something her and I are missing or is this a hardware issue and extremely coincidental?
Her phone is a factory rom I am running the latest viperone

WiFi Speed Issues Anybody?

Received my Nexus 6 yesterday and believe I have a faulty device. I have searched all over the web and here on XDA and nobody is reporting the exact issue that I am seeing. While others have complained of issues having the device connect to the Wifi, that is NOT my problem. I can connect fine and have full Wifi bars along with a strong (702Mbps - 5GHZ) link speed. Loading of web pages however slows to a crawl and browsing the Play Store is like looking at dial up. No other devices on my network are experiencing this issue. The weird thing is that Speed tests run through the OOKLA app show the same blistering speeds as I receive on my desktop but when I try to run speed tests from various browser based testing sites they are way Sloooow. OOKLA reports a higher than normal PING however and I believe that is where the problem my lie. My LTE data speeds are WAY faster than WiFi and are actually quite impressive I might add.
I unlocked and Rooted right out of the box but have since performed a factory reset (Flashed Stock Images) and have also tried a different Access Point. I have also tried forcing 2.4GHZ and changing WiFi channels. Nothing helps and I think I may need to RMA this thing.
To better explain what I am seeing it is as if the device is "choking". The load bar moves quick, then stops completely, then moves quick again and web images populate real slow. It's unbearable and definitely undesirable. I may try flashing a different ROM tomorrow but wanted to get this out there to see if I am alone.
Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.
TIA

Firmware update N950U1UEU3BRA5

I have network unlocked Galaxy Note 8 N950U1, it's been working very good until I updated January software N950U1UEU3BRA5, keyboard messed up, keep acting crazy, tethering with my laptop is very slow like less than 1MB download, tethering speed used to be very fast up to max speed of the speed test I made on phone. I do speed test on my note 8 itself, download speed average between 80mb to 99mb where I live, but when I test speed while tethering, download speed is less than 1mb. I am so upset now and I don't know whether it causes by new firmware update. Does anyone have this issue?
No one Can help you. Hardreset.
Thanks, however I found out that tmobile blocks high speed data when tethering even I have unlimited data. I tried Verizon sim card on my phone and then tethering, speed is as fast as on the phone itself. So, I know tmobile blocks internet speed when tethering unless I subscribe with "Hotspot tethering", I guess. I hope I can find way to work around.
Samsung released an update for the Samsung keyboard issues. Check your updates on the Galaxy Apps app
