BenzROM V3 signature verification failed - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys
I have a Problem with BenzROM V3.
When i try to install the ROM in recovery mode it says
E: signature verification failed.
Ive installed the Stock Version:
Germany (Jan 2013)
PDA: I8190XXAMA1
CSC: I8190OXAAMA1
Version 4.1.2
I tried the rooted an unrooted Version, dont know if that does any difference.
Would be nice if you have a solution for this problem.
Thank you

You need to flash cwm recovery first.

AW: BenzROM V3 signature verification failed
With my phone it didnt worked with trwp. Got the same error!
I had to install cwm to fix that.

You PM'ed me 3 times and now here too? What the hell is the matter with you?

first step
install https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5rb3VzaGlrZHV0dGEucm9tbWFuYWdlciJd
on your phone
then open it and go into "download rom" select the option that best fits your requirement (i picked clockworkmod recovery)
flash that to your phone
once that is done you should reboot to recovery
in there you can then install Benz's custom rom

[Q] Galaxy S stuck on boot screen

hello,
I try'd to install cm7 but it failed.
i can go in download mode and in recover mode but in recover mode i got :
E: unknown volume for path [/data]
.......... ( and more errors )
what can i do?
i dont have clockworkmod...
i was on I9000XXJVO and if i can recover it by using odin give me a download link for an rom (A)
here
You could have found this if you used the search button.
Generally your error can be resolved by flashing a stock ROM with PIT and partition ticked.
Stock rom can be found at sammobile.com..
thanks i fixed it now and rooted my phone but can i install a custom rom of will i get the bootloop?
Custom rom use new version of recoveri. When you went in bootloop pull out battery, and put it back and then enter in recovery and flash custom rom

well there are some custom rom that after applying it the phone is stuck on bootloop usually you just have to remove battery then install the update again..
btw just follow the instruction on to how to update to your chosen custom rom and make sure you followed the pre requisites as to avoid bricking your phone...
there are some custom rom that requires certain firmware before you could actually update to that custom rom. like if you need to be on xxjvz update your phone to xxjvz first then apply the custom rom.
try sammobile.com... for some stock firmware if ever you needed to update to it...
Unbrick
Thanks this was the only thing that surpised me on galaxy player

Bootloop after cm10 alpha

Hello.
The phone is Samsung GalaxyS i9000.
I have installed cm10 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778526
and i got bootloop, so I can start os or start cmw (volume up+home+power), only download mode works fine.
I tried to reinstall CMW from this link: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager , but there is "..../recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-galaxys.zip" and Odin does not work with "zip" files, only "tar" for recovery.
Sorry for my english.
Regards.

Okay. Then we can assume you hard bricked your device.
To confirm this (or not) please download a stock Rom (Dr. Ketan's thread or sammobile.com) - it's not so important what you choose, but should be for your country.
Install this Rom with PC Odin on your device.
And have a look at the messages: if it stops at factoryfs.img the it's bricked.

Download a different Rom, check MD5 and install it with PC Odin - you should make sure that you have condition that is exactly defined.
I will not answer or search for solutions if this isn't clear, sorry.

Android system recovery <3e>

Stupid, stupid, stupid and 1000 times stupid: 10 post rule!
I think this post should be here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927097
Any way, I need help so I'll take it from where I can. By the way I'm not a android newbie, just N7000 newbie.
I have been last 8 hours trying to flash a new rom to my new N7000. As I'm on a mac and don want to set the "counter" of N7000, my path was going to CWN from that post.
But I'm stuck, as when I try to do a "update from sdcard" I got a:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
I have tried different downloads in different paths and still the same. I have a VSLB1 original firmware.
Any ideas?
Download Philz kernel (choose the correct one) and flash that through the stock recovery.
I'm up and running....I'll tell how I fix it:
1. I downgrade to an old official firmware trough Odin (just PDA: N7000ZSKJ6_N7000OZSKJ6_TGY.zip)
2. Then I rooted trough GalaxyNoteRoot/runmemac.sh (root apk didn't work)
3. Installed MobileOdinLite (you will need to download MObileODIN FLashKernel N7000 v3.0 => scroll really down on MobileOdinLite post)
4. From MobileOdinLite updated a kernel with CWM (CF-Root-SGN_XX_OXA_LB1-v5.0-CWM5.zip)
5. From CWM installed my desired rom (AllianceROM)
6. Finally, using Odin update the modem (was not working) to XXLT3
Hope this info be useful

Can't flash my n7000

Hello,
I've been stuck on this problem all the afternoon and evening.
Here it is : I got my mother's n7000 offered, which has never been flashed before. Today, I'd like to install CM10.1. I want to install CWM (PhilZ) in order to flash CM.
When I try to "apply update from sdcard" in the stock recovery (file: PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT4-OXA-4.93-6-signed.zip) it tells me that E:signature verification failed.
And when I try to use Odin, to flash a PDA (.tar.md5), it get stuck on "NAND Write Start!!".
Concerning Odin, I found out it could be a problem that has to do with the phone partitioning and that I should flash a PIT file to resolve that problem. So I used Odin to 'flash' a PIT file. But still, this doesn't resolve the CWM installation problem...
Anyone has an idea on why is this happening and how could I get out of this mess?
Thanks in advance! Bye!
Up please, can anyone help ?
Thanks XDA community.

What worked for me back in the day was using
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
An older version from here, for example << 03.06.2013 - PhilZ-cwm6 v5.06.1 with CWM 6.0.3.2 based recovery >>
Then once that is installed, reboot to recovery again and install the new "advanced version"
https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7000/ (4.84.3 ZIP)
Then restart and you should be able to flash the one you wanted.
Also, try using older ODIN version, I think I use 1.87 or something like that, definitely not 3+.
Thank you for your help, I succeeded installing Philz 5 via Odin 1.85, then updating to CWM (KitKat compatible), then installing NightOwl (Android 5.1.x with CM12) Beta4
Once again, thank you!
