I want to disable charging when the device is connected to a USB port (and yes, some of you may say it's unnecessary).
I tried to modify "USB Charge Commander" to make it work with Galaxy S, but I'm having a hard time finding the property that disables USB charging on this device.
It should be something like the following (adb shell):
setprop persist.sys.charging.disable
Any ideas?

Pardon my ignorance, but if you disable USB charging, how will you charge your phone?
I realise that you could turn the feature on again if the phone is working, but if it runs out of power with the feature selected, how would you recharge it?
With an AC/DC-charger which you get when you buy your phone?!

It only disables charging when you connect your phone to a PC, not when you're using the adapter.
If the device is out of juice, then Android is not running and you can still charge the device through a PC's USB port.
this would come really handy!!
i know the phone can detect if its charging from USB or AC adapter...

Title says it all. Is there a way to stop it charging when connected to compuer via USB?
I want to cycle the battery a few times but often wanbt to plug it in during the day.
Any tips appreciated.
I have noticed that there is different battery drain pattern if I check/uncheck the USB DEBUGGING option under the Settings-->Application.
Can anyone help me understand what does USB DEBUGGING mean and what should I do (check/uncheck) for better battery usage?

Anyone know how to enable the Unplug Charger and Disable Data Notification on ExistenZ V.2.X.X ROM ??, Cause in this ROM they are disable.

Start music, set Note5 on charger, music stops to ring-a-ding that it's charging.
I searched around in notifications and battery, but didn't see any settings for disabling the sound. Did I miss something, or do I have to try to manage my music without picking up the phone off the charging plate?
