@Dexter_nlb,
I have a LG 42LM660S, in the begining the tv said that it was no connection. I connect my computer to the phone hotspot, there was no internet connection, windows search for the problem and fix it, before was no IP from the hotspot... I re-connect the TV and everything went fine. Both, TV and computer had internet access through the phone.

Hello All.
I am looking at getting the G Tablet and was wondering if I can hook up the internet through the USB. I do not have wifi or access point in my house. My home modem has a USB or ethernet connection for connecting to the internet.
I see that it can be tethered to a phone for internet, just wondering about a home modem.
Thanks for any help.
Depending on the carrier I think you have to purchase a teather plan. Sprint told me this today when I called and asked why I couldn't USB teather, but he told me I could wifi... but there isn't one. -_-
Sorry, I meant for this to be in the Viewsonic G Tablet section.
I do not know if I was clear, but I was wondering if the G Tablet will work off of a home internet connection (hard wire) via USB?
Thanks

It might be possible, if you have an USB to Ethernet adapter and go that way. Directly via USB is more of a Windows thing.

Hello everyone,
another day another issue:
I connected my O2X to the TV with hdmi cable to watch a long youtube video (1hour44min) but after a few minutes the video stops and it can't load anymore.
I try to go to the browser version of youtube and my browser doesn't load...finally I go to the settings and under Wifi it says disconnected!!! I tried this several times and everytime hdmi is connected wifi seems to stop working.
Now, I'm sure LG didn't mess this phone up that much, where connecting the provided hdmi cable disconnects wifi....I mean come on surely this would be impossible? right?
Anyone had this issue before? Is the solution to get a new ROM or a new phone?
Cheers
I dont hv this problem, have you tried to reboot the machine and solve the problem?

I have been having problems in using smartshare. My TV which is connected to my router via 'Ethernet' is not being detected. Both the phone(via WiFi) and the TV(Ethernet) are on the same Network.
Is the problem because of my TV being connected via Ethernet? Since both my phone and TV are on the same network shouldn't the TV be detected?
Please help
A long shot, but try to disable all firewalls and see what happens.

Tried it on my computer.
The phone is not detecting the DLNA server on my computer when its connected through ethernet.
But when its connected to my wireless network the phone is detecting the server. Why is the phone not detecting the server if the computer is connected through ethernet?
Went through that.
I discovered it was my access point.
I had three, two B/G did not forward UPNP packets (DLNA is basically UPNP with some extra flavors).
The only N I had did forward those packets correctly.
From my packet inspection it appears that some old&cheap APs (at least in my case, I didn't have any expensive devices to test) don't forward those packets at all. So they are restrained to the same local network.
That means ethernet can talk to ethernet, wireless can talk to wireless.
No eth-wifi crosstalk.
I also have
- Dlink 1522 and it works good (home level gear)
- Dlink 2553 and it's really good (semi pro gear)
^Thanks. But i'm able to use DLNA when my PS3 is connected via wireless and PC via Ethernet. So that would rule out my router's fault doesn't it?

What DLNA server are you running on your pc?
Is it some SONY made software?
I had the exact same problem as you:
running smartshare on my phone and it wasn't seen nor by the tv and neighter by the pc when it was connected on the 5GHz network ( i have two wifi networks, one on 5GHz and one on 2.4GHz, phone can only connect on the 2.4GHz one) .
When I connected the pc on the 2.4GHz network it could see the phone server ok.
Solved by changing the AP.
I don't know anything about the PS3 as I don't have it, maybe it uses some custom software that is able to overcome any limitation.
All I can offer is my own experience
^I tried with Windows media player,TVersity and also Samsung allshare. All three are detected by my PS3 but not the phone and the TV
My router has only the 2.4GHz Option. I tried changng the Wireless Channels but with no avail

Ya the TV and PC via Ethernet and the PS3 and phone via wifi
And all the devices are on the same network!

So the PS3 shares the same access point of the phone.
TV and pc are networked via cable.
You ran your software on the pc that's connected via cable and the PS3 picked it up, while the TV didn't.
Correct?

Yes PS3 shares the same access point. The PS3 detects the server while the TV and phone dont..
When the PC is also connected via wifi then the phone picks it up!

Mmmm that's strange.
But I suspect the AP anyway.
Can't you borrow another one (different brand and/or model) from a friend?
It's really strange.
Have you tried disabling the firewall?
Do you have more the one computer?
Can any other computer see all the others on the network?

Thanks for the reply bro!
I'll try with a different router and a laptop later today
Tried with another router but still no go
Is it a software limitation of the phone ?because the ps3 is working absolutely fine
I don't think so, I have used it quite well after I changed my access point.
I don't know what else you could try unfortunately.
Short of trying a different software (twonky).
As you probably have noticed if using Miracast, WiFi is disabled when connecting to wireless display. Is this planned to be fixed?
Very strange implementation..

Miracast is broken in 4.2.2-update. Used it many times on the previous SW but it is not even possible to connect with 4.2.2 on the ZR. I'm trying to connect to a Netgear PTV3000 with 2.44 (beta)firmware.
On the ZR, I see the PTV3000, choose connect and nothing happens on the PTV and the ZR just counts down from 120. After 20 seconds maybe, I get a error on the PTV saying connect failed.
The "bug" (I think it's more broken by design) is still there, before connecting it notifies me of a WiFi disconnect.
Hello all,
I am on Zeus 1.1 and got stuck into a strange problem.
I am using a Mac with broken Wi-fi but Ethernet and Bluetooth.
MAC has Bluetooth PAN internet sharing and I set it to share.
But it doesnt see OB as a PAN device even its paired.
It only shows send or receive and browse files in OB (which works).
And yes there is pand in system/bin in OB.
Any idea?
You want to use internet from phone on a MAC via bluetooth ?.. you can't use USB tethering?

Hmm, I am yet to find a way to get PAN service in OB. Seems Android hide this services without any reason. Last time when I had Galaxy S (yeh obsolete) It had no PAN too.
What is strange that Bluetotth FTP is hidden for Windows/Linux too but same works flawlessly with OSX. Any experience with this?
