Yes, maybe my conclusion was to quickly and he meant that these specs are too good to be true, oke. My bad in that case No pun intended Girn.
I find it really fake....
Anyway for the camera.

It is able to record 4k resolution at 60fps not 30fps as stated in the rumors.

I`am sure many of these posts will pop up in the next 6-7 months and they are to be taken with a grain (or bag) of salt.. But i read in an article that Google intends to enhance the camera drasticly in the next Nexus.
If the X Phone really is going to be their new 'affordable' phone, then I don't see why they wouldn't try to increase their reputation by going all out on a nexus device.
But the specs are kind of.. out of this world. I don't know what to expect anymore.. when the HTC One X first came out my mind exploded at quad core, and even when the SGS2 came out dual core blew my mind.
In the world of phones.. my mind will always be blown at least 2 times a year.

Hmm not sure what you mean....
What I meant to say is the only 16 megapixel camera from Omnivision can record a 4k resolution video at 60 fps. But the rumors claims it can only record 4k videos at only 30 fps which does not match up well.

It is nothing more than a rumor at this point, these are not validated specs. We`ll see what the future will bring and i think Google will not release phones with these specs because some manufacteres would ditch android i`am sure.

If legit, this will be a true beast!
Drool...
Yeah... 0% chance of this happening, firstly there's LG as the manufacturer, while the original nexus was more about showing off android the new goal is helping the non-samsung manufacturers compete so I think the next one will be either Sony or HTC.
Secondly 3GB of RAM??? Generally RAM is one of those things like internal storage that goes in a specific binary pattern, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, etc it's odd they'd use 3, though not impossible but I don't think anyone sees 2GB as much of a limit considering the PS3 and 360 use only 512MB (I know apples and oranges but 2GB is a lot even for computer users)
As for the storage when we consider that the nexus 4 took a step back to 8 and 16GB variants and there are very few (to my knowledge) phones with 32GB having 64GB just seems like such an obvious lie.
The battery, 3300mAh when the note 2 with a 0.3inch bigger screen (and bigger bezel judging from the render) has a 3100mAh battery? Not impossible but highly implausible.
16MP rear camera, possible but i doubt it
4k recording, you mean record video on your phone that you won't be able to play on your phone, computer, tv for another 3-5years before it becomes a mainstream product? hahahahah NO!
Think I'll get a job as an anonymous source and provide more realistic rumours than this poor attempt
Discussing a particular phone's successor is OK, but this is the second Androidandme rumor thread that has been started.
Let's try and not turn this forum into a click-bait cesspool.
We can have a thread when there is more concrete evidence (i.e. a leak to a reputable source like the Wall Street Journal or the Verge)

doubt it .......
Let's play Devil's Advocate and assume these specs are pretty close to the truth. These specs already fall behind phones that are already out today, heck my Galaxy Note has more to offer than this phone, save the 12MP shooter (8 MP is good enough for most pics for web viewing and even printing 4"x6" photos) and NFC (still a few years from widespread adoption so by the time I get a new phone, it will be on more phones).
Just Rumor I think. . Unofficial announance usually come fake until apple release the news.
rumor just like the billions of rumors surfacing about the galaxy s3. although some of those seem close to the truth....
Nothing to prove any of specs yet...

Guess you didn't notice that they're a design and concept studio, i.e. they make what they think would be cool. They don't do reveals for new product.
Just got my Nexus 4 last week (only took 3 days from when I ordered, rather impressed).....but I have to say, the FFC is pretty terrible. Not just the picture quality (I wasn't expecting much from a 1.3mp FFC) but its performance in general....movement is very choppy, and its performance in video chats (using Google Talk or Tango) is rather poor. In fact in Google Talk, there is an excessive amount of random garbled nonsense audible on both ends of the conversation (not the cameras fault I'd assume). The FFC on my last phone, a MyTouch 4G, was honestly better than this one which is really disappointing as I was hoping the beefier stats of this phone would finally allow for a comparable video chat experience to Apple's FaceTime, which as much as I hate to admit, is light years ahead of anything I've seen for Android.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, or if there is a really great app for this that I just haven't found yet....any opinions?
Even the back camera is bad. Better than last year's galaxy nexus crappy camera but still bad compared to good camera on other high end smartphones.

To be honest all the phones I've owned I've NEVER really used the FFC. Actually that's a lie. I did a video chat with my GF once on gtalk but it was just to test it. So for all I care the FFC can be 0.001 MP hahhaa

In general, I agree....I was just surprised that the Nexus 4 FFC performs so poorly compared to a 2+ year old phone (mytouch 4G). Not the end of the world....I still love the phone and don't regret purchasing it.
I knew the rear camera wasn't going to be great (read the reviews, trust me) and its not. I'm more surprised with the connection quality and "smoothness" (if that makes sense) of the FFC. Also after seeing so many of my friends with iPhones and FaceTime, I'm just wondering how it can be that it seems no android phone has really nailed this (unless the SGS3 has, haven't tried it there).
Yeah the FFC isn't impressive. My Gnex's front facing camera performs MUCH better somehow. BUT, I really like the rear camera. I'm a photographer and I just know how to take really good shots (Not to sound weird )
honestly the FFC on my tmobile GS2 was pretty decent. this one does kinda suck tho

Noone will put a 4k display to 5" phone, thats plain stupid so this one you may drop.
Snapdragon 800 will be more likely used in tablets, so i also dont expect it to be in next Nexus device , it will most probably will be SD600 like in other top models this year.
Ill bet for 1080P , 5" screen (which is also useless in phone, but everyone got it so Google will also). 2GB of ram (who needs more in a phone?)
No sdcard slot, no removable battery - standard in google phones.
the most major change will be the OS, KLP will most probably be pushed to phones after I/O.

4k refers to video its called ultra hd.wow . also....it seems(could of course be wrong) like you dissing or dissmising nexuses?! First are you forgeting price??!! Way below norm.people are and will eventually flock once out of a contract fir a 249$ phone. Second nexus strives now(not the gnex albeit a good phone) to be the top o line device. My lgog which is the n4 brother destroyed the Samsung Galaxy s3 in the way many ways including speed. The lgog is the top scorer stock on quadrant. Yes i know its not everyday use im just making a point. I have contacts at lg(a cousin who is a dev) and all these specs are being seriously considered.(blueprint will be at fed communication soon) and the almost for sure one is the snapdragon 800. So your guess is flawed. Sorry

Looks like LG G2 is the premium cousin of Nexus 5. With only 2300mah battery, and low spec camera, I am glad I got the G2.
http://www.gsmarena.com/leaked_nexus_5_log_reveals_most_of_the_specs-news-6876.php
Most of the stuff is no surprise – a 5" screen (actually, 4.97") with 1080p resolution, 442ppi pixel density, a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage (on that concrete model, there might be others with more and hopefully not less storage). The phone ran Key Lime Pie (a.k.a. Android 4.4 KitKat), build version KRS74H.
It seems that the camera has been changed to an 8MP snapper (the Nexus 4 also got a lower-res camera than the Optimus G it was based on). It's too early to tell if there will be optical image stabilization (probably not though). There's a 1.2MP front-facing camera too.
The Nexus 5 will pack dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS connectivity. The model whose log file leaked ran on North American LTE bands, but we should expect a Euro version too.
Pieces of the leaked log with the salient info
The phone will have wireless charging built in and while battery capacity wasn’t in the logs, FCC docs point to a 2,300mAh unit. There will also be a full set of sensors – accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity and light sensors as well as a barometer. The FCC measured the phone at 131.9mm tall and 68.2 mm wide, there's no info on thickness.
A case maker, SPIGEN, puts the Nexus 5 launch date at October 31, a month from now.
Thanks for the tip, Emanuele!

Not true. Megapixels on cell phone cameras don't really mean ****. 8mp or 13mp, its a way higher resolution than it needs to be... No ones printing posters from their cell phone photos. Sensor quality and speed, iso performance, and compression/processing are all much more important. Which is why my 10mp DSLR takes way better photos than my 13mp phone or 16mp point and shoot.
Its still probably very likely that the N5 camera will be worse. But it won't be because of the lower mp sensor. It'll be because Google is going to cut corners wherever they can to get a $300-$400 price tag.

I agree with you about the battery life. The Galaxy Nexus had absolutely horrible battery life. The Nexus 5 has me interested but I'm still looking at the G2 as an upgrade to my current phone which is a Note 2 mostly because of the battery.

If people don't buy Nexus devices purely based on price, then they are nuts imo. There are always better phones hardware and specs wise out there that can easily have an AOSP rom flashed to it.

Especially with the upcoming Cyanogen CM ROM app coming to the Play Store, will be easy as pie to install the latest CM ROM on your phone, even if your not comfortable rooting, and flashing rom's yourself. Now will be super easy. Just need a phone that has an unlocked bootloader out of the box, and no funny ATT or Verizon lock down on it, which the G2 I think is developer friendly, and is in LG's best interest to gain support from the community, I think LG is in the Android position, like Samsung was back in the Galaxy S2 days a few years ago.

Unless the Nexus 5 announcement pulls a ton of surprises, I don't see how it could be a bigger draw to get it over the G2, besides the significantly lowered pricepoint of course.

Is the G2 unlockable? I see there is TWRP and stuff but I don't see any root or custom roms yet. I like the G2 but ain't no way I'm going to be a frontrunner after the G2x burned me.
I'd rather have the N5 with lower specs then the G2 IF LG isn't going to support it.
My 2yr Galaxy Nexus running 4.3 AOKP is plenty fast and absolutely a beast on Battery (stock 2100mAh extended). I'd hate to get rid of it but the OMAP CPU is showing its age. Otherwise the best phone I have ever owned. I'll make a choice in December to see where the G2 and the N5 are. In a perfect world, with the N5 is close in hardware, ROMs could be ported back and forth easily allowing one to have the better spec'd G2 with all the development that comes with a Nexus.

At the moment my SGS3 is running Android 4.2.2 CM 10.1. It is now very good but it arrived later then 4.3 stock on my N4.
AOSP 3rd party ROMS will always be at least 6 months behind official Android on Nexus.
If the Nexus 5 has the same camera that's in the G2, It's a bad purchase. The camera in low light, indoors is piss poor to be blunt. I am looking to get out of my G2 for the N5 only if the camera is better.

What's the point with these Nexus when you can buy a Samsung with all of that for that money now a days?
Speed? Unnoticeable. Always the last Android version? Well, the GalaxyNexus won't get KitKat. That's how far the updates go with the Nexus. 2 years.
I'm not buying it. At least until I find a reason.
I don't know about you guys but I'm buying a phone, not a camera.

You either buy a Nexus because you're a developer or because you want dev support. Sure, other devices get some decent ROMs, but Nexus devices always get the latest/greatest ROMs that leverage the newest iteration of the OS.

Price. Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One etc etc are more expensive.

Where can you buy a brand new Samsung with all of that for $399.99 off contract??
Also the reasons are pretty damn simple, Price to Value its unbeatable, and you get the latest software first.
If price is of no conern there will ALWAYS be better phones.Hell the G2 is debatably a better phone in some aspects. It is only 1mm by 1mm smaller and the G2 has a .2" bigger screen with 800mah more battery.

Audio should be pretty much same across the board as it utilises Qualcomms DAC. Usually volume levels vary. However with Franco or Faux they implement sound boost on their respective kernels. Camera who knows too early to state as well as battery life. Storage is user preference. I've ordered one to test it out if I don't like it I will simply return it under DSR.

In Amazon. Galaxy S3 has more and better features that N5 for 300€ new and free.
Hardware? Speed difference is unnoticeable. Android last version? Good for geeks, never a big deal.
If you have to whine about a phone that you don't own then it's likely not the phone for you.

Does Galaxy S3 have 1080p screen? Does Galaxy S3 have OIS in camera? That's two things the Nexus 5 does better - apart from just performance.

Seriously? Have you used a Snapdragon 800? I'm guessing not. The S3 is a slug, and TW was awful on the S3. (Yes I had one).
The speed difference is baffling from an S600 to the s800, just using the phone, let alone if you play mobile games. Battery life is also crazy. Comparing it to the Exynos 4 is just... well it is night and day.
And yes, this is a geek phone as well, with latest software and ROM options being far superior.
Anyway comparing an old MUCH lower specced phone like the S3 to anything modern is silly. You aren't JUST gaining a faster phone, there is a lot of other improved tech. Bigger screen, brighter screen, much higher DPI, BT4, Wireless charging, 802.11ac wifi, better camera features/stabilization, etc...

I really don't notice the difference in the screen between the S3 (720p) and the S4 or any other with 1080p. Some people do, I don't. The camera in the S3 and S4 (which I can find new for 380€) is superb, while the N5 is predictably a bit worse, even with the OIS.
Anyway, no phone is perfect. The sound in S3 and S4 is not so good either, the S4 doesn't have a FM Radio, the screens outdoors are very hard to see... hmm.
So about the camera...I took my kid trick or treating last night...With flash on, i'd hit the shutter button, the flash would come on and it was seriously focus for upwards of 8 secs before it took the pic. It was a crap shoot on whether you could make out the pic or not. Some guy said he's buying a phone, not a camera, but these companies are making phones so nice that a third party camera isn't needed unless you need a DSLR. Therefore, i rely on my phone cam.
Coming from the S4, the G2 camera is horrible at best at night. During the day it's great.
I have a g2 and it's the best smartphone camera I've used yet? Have owed most smartphones...including lumias. I have no idea what the hell you're talking about...piss poor?

Pretty much, as well as sucking at taking pictures of anything that moves.

the G2 is a great camera in daylight / still photos. I agree with him though personally I find it very poor in dark lighting or moving objects. HTC One was better in those 2 regards, but still day pictures the G2 slaughtered it.

Thats wonderful when you KNOW your going to need to take good pictures. Carrying a DSLR around on my bike or with me 24/7 isn't exactly an enticing option
That said the camera is one of the lower priorities to me as well, but still, it is important to most.
