These guys say they have this info from foxconn... Sounds uninteresting... Your thoughts ?

Sounds like typical iPhone rumors we'd hear all year round anyway.
Given that its april fools day and he says the camera is to be called iSight I would guess its a joke.

doubt it .......
Let's play Devil's Advocate and assume these specs are pretty close to the truth. These specs already fall behind phones that are already out today, heck my Galaxy Note has more to offer than this phone, save the 12MP shooter (8 MP is good enough for most pics for web viewing and even printing 4"x6" photos) and NFC (still a few years from widespread adoption so by the time I get a new phone, it will be on more phones).
Just Rumor I think. . Unofficial announance usually come fake until apple release the news.
rumor just like the billions of rumors surfacing about the galaxy s3. although some of those seem close to the truth....
Nothing to prove any of specs yet...
Maybe details are correct what these guys says. I have heard new iPhone will comes with Holograpic Display, 4.6 Inch Screen size, Laser Keyboard, Quad-core processor. And new iPhone's video has leaked check it out here www.youtube.com/aatmastudio

Guess you didn't notice that they're a design and concept studio, i.e. they make what they think would be cool. They don't do reveals for new product.

They say Jellybean update will focus on gaming. Im thinking about that PLaystation certified phone with a quadcore Processor, 4.65 inches screen, 12 megapixels and 2 megapixels front facing camera that can both carry 1080p video capture make sense here.
Im sure Sony will be a legit contender to be the next google nexus phone. It also sounds great if you gonna put the name "SONY XPERIA NEXUS"
any technical infoarmation new sony experia ?
Well if they want it to use yesterday's hardware and launch with an old Android version with a promise of an update after launch. </sarcasm>
If Sony get chosen for Nexus 4, what is certain is that it will be prettier.
The new Sony Experia (No Ericsson anymore) looks great, and i guess sony makes quality products but i think Samsung is one of the biggest leaders on high-end performance/quality basis and i think the next Nexus will be Samsung too... but who knows!
Sony would be a good option i think, rather than HTC. They also have good cameras and are developing a new sensor for smartphones that will do great.
considering Google owns Moto mobile now, wouldn't the next Nexus phone be a Moto?
Hey
I think you're forgetting that Google now owns Motorola. Btw they already announced at CES that Google, Motorola, and Intel are working on the next one. It's going to be sweet!

Exactly why I don't want Sony to make my phones anymore. Seems the only thing they keep up to date nowadays is their camera line. Although who knows, they might make an up-to-date Android phone this year. Not the Google flagship though.
True about the Motorola, it'll be interesting. But idk if it should have intel processor... oh well.
No, no, and no. A Sony Nexus would not be good for a nexus device whatsoever. PlayStation Certified? That would be just great to separate it from every other stock android device. And it would be great to delay updates. Sure Sony has great hardware, but it feels overall cheap. I'd rather take Samsung for nexus again than Sony. If the next android update does by chance have something to do with gaming, Google will want it to tie in with the rest of the operating system. Games would sync just as gmail and contacts do. Also, Sony never has been good with stock android. The Verizon Xperia Play was supposedly stock, but we all know that Sony has already turned its back on it. So in my opinion, Sony would do as much for a Nexus as some company like Viewsonic.

NO.
Sony wouldn't be a good contender until they decide to use OLED screens for their phones. It's considered a downgrade if the 'Xperia Nexus' uses an LCD.
Eh. Not a fan of Sony's design. The face buttons on the Xperia Arc look terrible.
They're the only android OEMs making attractive hardware.

I`am sure many of these posts will pop up in the next 6-7 months and they are to be taken with a grain (or bag) of salt.. But i read in an article that Google intends to enhance the camera drasticly in the next Nexus.
If the X Phone really is going to be their new 'affordable' phone, then I don't see why they wouldn't try to increase their reputation by going all out on a nexus device.
But the specs are kind of.. out of this world. I don't know what to expect anymore.. when the HTC One X first came out my mind exploded at quad core, and even when the SGS2 came out dual core blew my mind.
In the world of phones.. my mind will always be blown at least 2 times a year.

What I meant to say is the only 16 megapixel camera from Omnivision can record a 4k resolution video at 60 fps. But the rumors claims it can only record 4k videos at only 30 fps which does not match up well.

If legit, this will be a true beast!
Drool...
Yeah... 0% chance of this happening, firstly there's LG as the manufacturer, while the original nexus was more about showing off android the new goal is helping the non-samsung manufacturers compete so I think the next one will be either Sony or HTC.
Secondly 3GB of RAM??? Generally RAM is one of those things like internal storage that goes in a specific binary pattern, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, etc it's odd they'd use 3, though not impossible but I don't think anyone sees 2GB as much of a limit considering the PS3 and 360 use only 512MB (I know apples and oranges but 2GB is a lot even for computer users)
As for the storage when we consider that the nexus 4 took a step back to 8 and 16GB variants and there are very few (to my knowledge) phones with 32GB having 64GB just seems like such an obvious lie.
The battery, 3300mAh when the note 2 with a 0.3inch bigger screen (and bigger bezel judging from the render) has a 3100mAh battery? Not impossible but highly implausible.
16MP rear camera, possible but i doubt it
4k recording, you mean record video on your phone that you won't be able to play on your phone, computer, tv for another 3-5years before it becomes a mainstream product? hahahahah NO!
Think I'll get a job as an anonymous source and provide more realistic rumours than this poor attempt
Discussing a particular phone's successor is OK, but this is the second Androidandme rumor thread that has been started.
Let's try and not turn this forum into a click-bait cesspool.
We can have a thread when there is more concrete evidence (i.e. a leak to a reputable source like the Wall Street Journal or the Verge)

Noone will put a 4k display to 5" phone, thats plain stupid so this one you may drop.
Snapdragon 800 will be more likely used in tablets, so i also dont expect it to be in next Nexus device , it will most probably will be SD600 like in other top models this year.
Ill bet for 1080P , 5" screen (which is also useless in phone, but everyone got it so Google will also). 2GB of ram (who needs more in a phone?)
No sdcard slot, no removable battery - standard in google phones.
the most major change will be the OS, KLP will most probably be pushed to phones after I/O.

4k refers to video its called ultra hd.wow . also....it seems(could of course be wrong) like you dissing or dissmising nexuses?! First are you forgeting price??!! Way below norm.people are and will eventually flock once out of a contract fir a 249$ phone. Second nexus strives now(not the gnex albeit a good phone) to be the top o line device. My lgog which is the n4 brother destroyed the Samsung Galaxy s3 in the way many ways including speed. The lgog is the top scorer stock on quadrant. Yes i know its not everyday use im just making a point. I have contacts at lg(a cousin who is a dev) and all these specs are being seriously considered.(blueprint will be at fed communication soon) and the almost for sure one is the snapdragon 800. So your guess is flawed. Sorry

It would be nice. But I doubt it. Why wait an extra month? Why just not introduce both phones at the same event? Samsung seems to think the S5 they announced yesterday is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
This is wishful thinking. There's no reason for Samsung to do that big launch event and not introduce all it's products. Maybe if the "S5 Prime" wasn't going to be ready for another 6 months, but then it's going to start bumping up against the next gen of phones so the release would be moot.

Idk about 6 months because the Note 4 will be released around then (around November or so). That's why I'm saying a month or so (by March/April).
I just refuse to believe that this is the best Samsung could come up with. Maybe they wanted to have something ready for Barcelona and decided to hold their true flapship phone not phablet back for their own big event.
If the S5 Premium exists it better offers at least 3 gig of ram, more PPI = 2k display and a less "glossy" look
I can't see this happening. The while one more thing Steve Jobs did once won't happen. I'm somewhat disappointed with the specs but I love the software gimmicks. This just solidified my plan to upgrade from my note 3 to the 4.

You really don't want a 2600 x 1400 display.
Most people are *****ing about the lack of high end specs. If you go the route of a higher resolution screen your really just taxing your battery and SoC and for what? Something that you need a magnifying glass to see? 1080p on a smart phone is more than enough. At least until power issues are solved.

that I totally agree with. the phone is pretty disappointing. .
Well now....
It "might" launch? I might skip it as well as the plastic version. Still a worthless upgrade unless your on an S2. Come on LG G 3....
And as for who else is expecting? The only thing I expect from them at this point is to be disappointed. I loved Samsung at one point. I own 2 TV's, 2 camera's, I"ve had the S2, Note , S3 , Note 2 , S4... No S5 for me after the locked bootloader crap.
If the rumors of Samsung lowering the retail price of the S5 hold true, then I would say that a premium "F" version is all but guaranteed.
Just my two cents.

The "P" or "F" or whatever series is set for a June launch (May announcement?) alongside with the Snapdragon 805 and Exynos 5/6 64bit and the QHD screen which has a low yield right now. No need to rush things, cause if the S5 kicks off like $100 cheaper than usual, a quarter of top sales should come handy before releasing the True New Flagship. Well the Note series is The Flagship nowadays for Samsung and I think they realized that people see it that way, which is why the new metallic nex-gen line-up to catch attention, but we'll see.
If I am Samsung, I would not launch a new phone for now. I rather save the metal build quality for note 4 now. I think it is going to disappoint existing S5 users.

Why should Samsung go full metal? The leather like back on the Note 3 is phenomenal. They aren't going to ditch one of their USP things just so people can show off their phone.
Other than that no doubt the Note 4 will come with topend specs, 5,7 inch should be enough to pack an octacore and qhd resolution into it.

thr will be different edition of S5
like what happened for S4 (snap 600 to snap 800)
so it s possible for S5 from snap 801 to ... (maybe 805)
but different design from plastic to metal...! i don think so!
and I think Galaxy F series served for flexible feature.
and the F will get 2K, 3GB RAM etc...
:good:
Metal case is nice and all that, but if it means it won't have a removable battery, then I'm out.

Damnit, just when I "find" a procesor I can trust (LG G2's Snap 800 is awesome), the next Nexus tablet might not use it.
I guess if this is true, I'll be holding off for a while after it intros to upgrade from my 2012 to the new one.

LOL, Yeah I agree... All of a sudden my decision not to upgrade to the 2013 N7 seems like was perfectly warranted. WOW, kinda hard to wrap my head around 4 times the performance. Lets hope its not at the cost of 4 times the power consumption, hahaha. Even with a bigger battery it might get to warm to carry around without using it outdoors in a stiff wind. lol

Intel has already announced the CPU family weeks ago, and it is no longer a rumor. The only thing hard to believe for me is the fact that Nexus may get it. I mean a SoC like this is bound to be expensive, right? Intel isn't known for supplying cheap processors. I would think just the SoC alone is going to be $200. No?
Looks like there is also talk of a Nexus 6... My only question is are these devices just gonna keep getting bigger and bigger????
Seems like soon we will have the nexus tablets with 15 inch screens!! I like the size of my n7 and I hope they keep it.

I think eight inch is better than seven. 6" 8" and 10" seems perfect. They do not design these to cover a need, they design them to sell them. Sadly, humans think when a number goes higher it is automatically better. Even when you realize its not, your brain continues to work that way. If they released another Nexus 7, it would not sell as much as the new Nexus 8.
8" could be done the same size as the nexus 7. Might not be too bad. Personally I'd like something bigger for NY next tablet but I don't want an Intel processor. They are usually weaker on graphics and some apps are not compatible.

Also think about what LG is doing with bezels... You could get an 8" display in the size of the Nexus 7 frame today, or with very little increase in size.
Not saying LG is the OEM or anything, but bezels are getting smaller and smaller, which means larger screens in the same overall device size.

negative, a 6" phone is too big for many people.
also i've heard the new intel chips will be no good for the custom ROM community: http://androidcommunity.com/intels-...g-trouble-for-android-customization-20140317/

Scary, but not surprising coming from Intel. The more I think about it the more I don't like the idea of an Intel processor. Too many bad memories of the crappy atom processors in netbooks don't help.

Yeah, I like that idea about less bezel, but I also do not want zero bezel, or some of your fingers flesh while holding it could get in the way. Maybe 1/8 or 1/4 wide bezel, no more. I just know I want a 8" or 9" screen tablet for doing business while I am still in bed. I usually wake up about 5 hours after going to bed, and I can't keep from checking email, paypal, ebay, replying to client questions and customer concerns, etc. I spend 45 minutes every morning and I find the screen and font sizes too small on the N7. I know I can change font sizes, but it just don't fit right. I think another inch, or inch and a half, would make it a little bit better to do business while my eyes are still tired. After 45 minutes my eyes are extremely sore from the constant focusing, and trying to read. Maybe larger fonts and more screen real-estate and my eyes wouldn't get so tired. And I feel that 10" may be just a little too big to snuggle with, lol... But I don't know...
Yeah a 6" phone would be stupid. So, maybe a 5" phone tops, 8" tablet and a 11", to replace the 10?
Oh, and why on earth would it not be good for custom roms and Intel processors? The worlds best chip maker and no one wants one in their mobile device? I would think the source would still be released regardless of the chip type and maker.

Then you need to read up. Intel has a bad reputation in the past with Linux and their atom chip. They are also known for locking down features and building things mainly for Windows.

Yes, I am well aware of their past Atom woes. But that does not automatically mean these new processors will suffer the same fate.
And it looks possible that Google may have tapped HTC to manufacture this beast...
