Hey there!
Since the One and 4.1.2 won't mount the storage as an USB mass storage device I am not able to connect my new HTC One with my Audi Entertainment System - quite frustrating! Is there any mod/tweak/cr out already which will fix that and give me the possibility to change the mounting to UMS?

Hi,
Sorry this a newb question.
I'm totally new to SGS but not new to Android (my experience is with a HTC Desire).
Well my problem today with my brand new SGS is that it doesn't mount on the PC: be it with or without an external SD Card, whenever I attempt to mount the SGS, nothing is going on the PC... the USB connection icon doesn't show in the notification tray in the PC (I'm on Win7). I don't get any error message from the SGS itself (it seems to be considering that the SD cards have been mounted on the PC...)
Do I need to install any specific Samsung/Kies drivers in order to see the SGS on my PC? If that is the case, well this is pretty annoying because at work I'm not allowed to install new drivers.
By contrast, my HTC Desire can be mounted to any PC without any specific drivers installed... so I'm wondering why the SGS would require such devices...

Hi anybody managed to mount external NTFS HDD since ICS?
Just updated to ICS and root with CWM.
Have put in busy box and super user and usb mass storage watcher.
Tried a few apps from market for drive mounting..
Anybody know of something that works with ICS?
Or should i just go back to honeycomb 3.2?

Hi All,
My device is Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N700 using Jelly Bean 4.1.2. (not rooted). Before I was using ICS.
My problem is that my USB storage (internal memory) is not recognized (0.00B/0.00B). My system storage and SD card is fine though. If I plug my phone to my PC it also can only recognizes the external SD Card. I tried to mount SD Card from settings > storage > USB Storage > mount SD card, but it just won't do anything.
I've googled and looked within forums and read something about the different path address: ICS (/sdcard) and JB (/sdcard0). Most of the people that encountered the similar problems were rooted. And I'm such a beginner couldn't understand the explanations. I've been trying to solve this problem for nearly a week. I couldn't use my camera, download images etc.
Can anyone help and try to explain the solutions for a noob like me? I really couldn't understand most of the talks about this similar topic.
Thanks
I had the same problem as you. I read somewhere that if you re-install ICS and then JB the problem is fixed. I never got around to try this because in the meantime and when trying to debug / fix it I ended up "bricking" my phone...
If you want to give it a try, you need the ADB drivers in your PC, ODIN and the appropriate ROMs that you can get from Sam mobile.

I'm running the latest TWRP recovery on stock/unlocked/rooted (Sprint, if it matters). I know our devices don't have the USB Mass Storage option/functionality by default, and I certainly don't mind MTP for regular everyday usage. But obviously, when trying to mount USB storage in TWRP, it says this device doesn't have that capability. Any solution and/or workaround for that? With both of my previous devices, the E4GT and the Nexus S4G (which both used USB Mass Storage as opposed to MTP), the ability to mount to my PC from recovery was a lifesaver on more than one occasion. Any help would be appreciated.

what do you need to mount the sdcard for?
you can also mount it in adb or fastboot i believe if you need to. there are also programs that will let you mount it easy if you don't know how to mount it manually.

Hello, everyone.
I've accidently deleted a really IMPORTANT thread on my WhatsApp about 3 weeks back.
Now, as we know WhatsApp only keeps database backup for one week only.
So, I want to recover the deleted WhatsApp database on my internal memory using any recovery program.
For that I need to mount my S Advance (i9070) internal memory as a separate drive on windows by USB mass storage.
Yes, I have rooted my phone.

Even if anyone can point me to the right direction.
Please help!
