Use GingerBreak-v1.20 for root and rom manager for flash cwm.

How do I return to complete stock

Hello, what is the quickest way to return to complete stock coming from cm7?
you can flash original stock rom using, for example, smartflash.
See link here, post #37, to download the stock

stock roms vary depending on where and when you originally bought your o2x

And if you dont know which rom was for your region, just flash old v10b rom via nvflash and then do lg update. I did it two times for warranty repairs.

Yes, but I'm guessing it would be a rooted version of your stock rom.

[Q]Cannot install ROMs via CWM

Hey all.
Since I flashed the v28G leak with CWM 6.0.15 I can no longer install zips in the recovery. I get the following error: assert failed getprop ro.product.device p990.
I already tried deleting the first line in the updater.script, but that does not fix it.
Please help me out, I'm really frustrated. Thx.

I had same problem. I flash back to Froyo using THIS and then update to Gingerbread with All-In-One P990-Toolkit.

[Q] new on mini

My friend has mini and i dont see an official jelly bean on mini. So his device is on gb 2.3.6 and i want to flash pacman rom so is it ok if i flash directly from 2.3.6 using cwm/stock tecovery?
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
you can't flash a custom rom with stock recovery so your gonna have to flash CWM first but you can't do that until you have root.
I see. So gb 2.3.6 then root then get cwm then flash pacman thru cwm then all is good?

No, you only need to do the "common" way to flash ROM.

Can I Upgrade to JB?

Hi,
I have rooted ICS on my 4x HD. No custom recovery or unlocked boot loader. Is it possible to upgrade to official stock JB? I can't update via OTA, so would flashing the kdz work even though I am rooted? Thanks in advance, I just want to be clear before I go ahead.

You could try. Connect your phone and using that tool try to force an update (somewhere in the upper right menu's). If that method leaves you on ICS, you'll have to flash JB yourself via kdz. Search the forum a bit for more on that.
