One link here

Another from here

You will need to set it up on your computer though, just read the instructions, its straight forward enough and there is a very good faq in post 2 of the kitchen thread
Sorry but I can't find it in the tools section. You know I want to convert ftf to zip right?

Oh. Okay. I thought his kitchen is unable to do that. Thanks again. I'm getting my computer this weekend and will start working on it.
Also mind recommending me a good name for my Rom?

Let me know how you get on
As for a name, thats up to you
I cooked my own rom pretty easy. Get the system.sin and Duped data in SIN editor in Flashtool. Then using ext2explore i saved the /system.
Then ofc you put it in a zip. And let the kitchen do the work

Unfortunately, your download requires a premium Mediafire account to download, which I don't have...
If it's not too much trouble, could you re-upload it in free-user terms? Or maybe use Mega file hosting?

Greg I think it's a good idea of you make the flashable zip (with no modifications, not deodexed, root etc) for the Xperia V so many people can use it and make their own ROM if they are willing to. Thanks again

Make a full nandroid backup and make sure you have the ftf handy in case of emergency.
Made from the FTF Jozinek provided here
ROOTED (Chainfire's SuperSU 1.25 & busybox 1.21.0)
DEODEXED
Zipaligned
Kernel included
Download
LT25i_9.1.A.1.140_root_deodex.zip - 494.12 MB
Locked bootloaders need to flash this after the ROM: CWM v6 flashable for JB Thread by davidmarco
Unlocked bootloaders: flash DooMKernel to get recovery back
Maybe this is more to your liking. Totally unmodified (odexed, no superuser/busybox, kernel not included).

Kernel (flashable zip)
LT25i_9.1.A.1.140_kernel.zip - 6.67 MB

Let me know how you get on. I also posted it in a thread in V development section, please leave your feedback there so more people will see it.
Hi all,
NoobTW requested a flashable zip of this firmware and I went ahead and made it. Decided to drop it here because it will probably get more exposure here and more people can enjoy it.
I'm an LT30p user myself so I can't do much in terms of support.
Just wanted to give you this to spark some interest in building your own ROMs and get you going.
Use dsixda's Android Kitchen, once you learn to master it, you're on your way to becoming a ROM Chef.
Please don't ask me for any updates or new features. This is provided "as is".
Feel free to use this as a base for your own ROM as long as give me some credit and link to this thread
Atteched you will find the update-binary and updater-script for reference

You don't have to because it was included in the deodexed zip but it doesn't hurt if you do.
If you would test it I would be grateful.
There have been several downloads and zero feedback.

I have no idea, try reflashing or redownloading.
Already did, went back to stock firmware and nothing appears, load it again and I have the stuck pixel only in 60%+ brightness (always using 10% no problem for me).

Thanks! Been using this for testing purposes, have flashed it quite a bit with no problems at all. Works very nicely just as stock. Would be perfect if the initial zip had recovery already but that's just nitpicking
I'm having a play around with the ROM in the OP using dsixda's kitchen, but as this is the first time I've tried this I need a little advice.
1. When in the kitchen, it wants to change the updater-script to an update script, can I just go ahead and do this ? Or does this step need a XV specific script? I'm confused as to the relevance of the script added in the OP and if I should somehow be using that.
2. Is there a list somewhere of the bloatware (is this only apk's) that can safely be removed ? I can't find one.
Many thanks
Don't change it to update-script, it will mess things up when changing back to updater-script. Best you can do is unpack the ROM to a folder in the root of the kitchen and put WORKING_ in front of it. Just use the kitchen for building the ROM zip.
There's no definitive list of bloatware but if you Google "xperia bloatware" you will find the most common ones. The rest is personal.
